Landed

Naaaa, MAS, don't feel guilty. I always scratch around for stuff to buy from them too. You can't give to everything, however laudable.

Just because we can - Xmas Smile

jchocchip · 02/12/2011 14:20

Xmas Shock 17 already.

mas - I'm playing flute badly in church (with a group mostly of children), but the wrong notes will be drowned out by the singing so it shouldn't be so stressful...

cakesandale · 02/12/2011 14:27

Flute, how lovely. Good luck Smile

topsytinselturner · 02/12/2011 15:01

Budgies chest

We have snow farecast for Sunday / Monday Xmas Shock

Still no letter in post from rads department , maybe they have forgotten about me

Who has fbs this afternoon ?
Got the munchies here .

jchocchip · 02/12/2011 15:06

I've got the munchies too. Went for a swim earlier and would have spent my locker £ coin on a mars bar but they were 80p which is Far Too Much. Will walk to Home Bargains now and see what I can get!

amberlight · 02/12/2011 15:11

Still in hospital with dh at the mo, so I can offer virtual hospital pre-packaged biscuits ?? He's doing ok after dodgy few hours, thankfully

jchocchip · 02/12/2011 16:09

Lots of fbs here. Walked to shops, took plastic recycling and bumped into my gorgeous new line manager. Bought far too much chocolate including fingers of fudge and lindt red bells. Brew and chocolate anyone?

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/12/2011 16:44

finger of fudge is just enough..etc thanks jane
amber so glad that you are getting through today ok (am following you on fb too)

Dd2 made lasagne for tea, Mmmmmm.

Figgyroll · 02/12/2011 17:30

Crikey, 17 already. Xmas Shock

I had a giggle at the budgie chest too, Xmas Smile.

Amber, hope DH soon starts feeling his normal self again. How are you coping with everything? It's not easy for you, I know. I'll pass on the prepacked biscuits thanks. I've got a bit of thing at the moment about cellophane wrapping. Can't stand the stuff.

Topsy, you'll have to ring them again on Monday. I bet they'll tell you the letter's in the post. All the post goes a bit wonky at Christmas time. I'm off the FBS at the moment as I noticed a few of my favourite trousers getting tighter again. I am taste testing the Christmas sherry later so that will be instead of a FBS.

Had the photographer in work today to take everyones photo for the staff noticeboard and I had a wobbly moment. I try to put at the back of my mind my short, grey curly hair (looks like a tight perm - eeeeek) but the thought of it being on the notice board fills me with horror. I made him promise he'd come back next spring to do another one when my hair's a bit more normal. At least the boobs weren't lopsided so that was a stroke of luck. Xmas Grin

topsytinselturner · 02/12/2011 17:43

Aaw Figgy !
I am the same at the moment . I had to have my photo taken for an official pass . And I look like a Big Issue seller in it Sad
Thankfully mine was just a head shot , so I didn't have to worry about wonky boobs Grin

Amber big hugs to you for all you are coping with today . More than any human should have to put up with !

Be back later , DH just in from work and I have to act the dutiful wife !

jchocchip · 02/12/2011 18:02

btw the fingers of fudge were only 12p in home bargains. That's more like it! But I must lock the rest of the fbs away, as I've had rather a blip this afternoon involving a bag of revels...

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/12/2011 18:20

figgy you look v nice in your fb photos Xmas Grin @ topsy's Big Issue seller !
btw, on fb RWU announces she has a new job -yay !

Driftwood999 · 02/12/2011 20:13

Amber - Hope your DH is comfortable, and that all will be well again soon.
KK - Candle lit for all darling dads no longer with us.
Cakes - Had Rads planning today and before that I had arranged for them to look at my bristle stictch. They removed it very gently, drawing out a bit more from inside. I did not even squawk I am pleased to report that not a single feather was ruffled in the process today. Xmas Grin Xmas Grin
Rads begin 3 Jan for 4 weeks, 4pm appointment each day which is'nt too bad, so I have a whole month off now!

jchocchip · 02/12/2011 21:37

Yes hope Amber and Mr Amber are ok, and that kk's Dad hashad a good send off.

Well done Drift getting your stitch sorted and rads planning done.

Busy day tomorrow. Party at Aunty's care home and dd2 is making food for another old folks party with guides - different villages obviously, so I may be on public transport (will look up times of steam trains just in case)

amberlight · 02/12/2011 22:00

Can a disabled autistic lady cope with a dh who is struggling to wake up from a general anaesthetic with very low blood pressure and oxygen levels, rush over to radiotherapy, rush back to be at his side, and care for him all evening? Yes, she can, with the help of her lovely friends and family. And she's now very tired.
