DD (3) has viral pneumonia
Two weeks ago she had tummy bug and the week before that tonsilitis.
She has never had this many illnesses altogether let alone one after the other.
Who else is soothing high temps, wiping green noses and cuddling poorly babes as they hack and wheeze away with a rotten cough.
I want a magic wand, she is such a little trooper.

DD 11 months has bronchiolitis. Got physio and docs again this afternoon.

expatinscotland · 12/12/2005 12:55

SilentBite · 12/12/2005 12:56

dd havs terrible cough

tamba · 12/12/2005 12:58

Ds1 and 2 both have coughs, snotty noses, sore throats and headaches and the glands in there necks hurt.

They are both really weezy and chesty

Last week they both had Henoch purpura with stomach pains and diarrioah

Icemum · 12/12/2005 12:59

DD3 has a really nasty hacking cough, seems copeable with in the day but for the last 4 nights has been awake coughiong for a good couple of hours each night.

As she is on anti-hystamines the cough seems very dry. Has also got weepy ears (grommets fitted) so another trip to docs is in order I think.

Lakota · 12/12/2005 12:59

Me too - DS (9 months) has had a chest infection following a horrible cold, and I'm pretty sure he's cutting his insisors too. What with one episode of exorcist style vomiting, disgusting things happening the other end, runny nose, dribble and a hacking cough I'm afraid neither of us are currently looking our best!

Wish everyone better for Christmas

LilacBump · 12/12/2005 13:02

DD had fever & headache all weekend. only this morning managed to get the fever down.

spruceylucy5 · 12/12/2005 13:02

My dd has a terrible cough, I have found that cough medicine isnt working, any ideas?

Easy · 12/12/2005 13:05

ds is disgustingly healthy. It's me with the hacking cough, and he has NO sympathy for me at all, except to tell me this morning "The best thing for you is to go to the Doctor's, Mummy." This after he's woken me at 6:30 a.m. the last 3 days.

He's 6 BTW

snowfalls · 12/12/2005 13:05

Will she dring honey and lemon.

rey · 12/12/2005 13:06

sore throats x2 here

snowfalls · 12/12/2005 13:06

Well I have a cold, just hope if the kids get it, they get it now, so they are well for Christmas.

santasweetdreamer · 12/12/2005 13:07

I'm off sick today. Really sore head and feeling sick

ItllBeLonelymumThisChristmas · 12/12/2005 13:08

Ds3 has croup and dd has a really irritating dry cough which comes into its own at night but Tixylix does seem to be helping her.

We can only hope that they will all be better by Christmas. To be frank, this has been the norm now (to have one child or another ill) for about 7-8 years. I am longing for our first bug free December...

handlemecarefully · 12/12/2005 13:08

Thankfully not as bad as your poor dd - but yes very heavy head colds.

MARINAtivityPlay · 12/12/2005 13:09

We have rivers of snot coming from dd's little nostrils and lots of coughing.
Hope all of the subjects of this thread get themselves bacteria-free for Christmas

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 12/12/2005 13:10

Dd isn't 100% but ok, ds is just getting over a bad cold. Both are coughing in the night.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 12/12/2005 13:12

Oh btw, a good GP once told me that cough medicines don't work, you'd be as well drinking hot lemon with honey to soothe the throat.

So give your kids that every night, and put a bowl of steaming hot water in their room at night with a couple of drops of Eucalyptus in it, works brilliantly!

milwardmincepies · 12/12/2005 13:12

chicken pox for dd3 - just waiting for ds4 to get it.

Epiffany · 12/12/2005 13:12

She went on antibiotics today as Dr is worried about the crackling in her chest
Shes lethargic but sweet and lucid
High temp been over 40 for about 5 day so calpol and ibuprofen regularly as well as sponging.
she's not a moaner and never complains.
I'd have it for her if I could
