Headcount -who has got ill kids just now?

DD (3) has viral pneumonia
Two weeks ago she had tummy bug and the week before that tonsilitis.
She has never had this many illnesses altogether let alone one after the other.
Who else is soothing high temps, wiping green noses and cuddling poorly babes as they hack and wheeze away with a rotten cough.
I want a magic wand, she is such a little trooper.

I haven't a clue!! If I did I'd be rich!!!
My best friends' ds is always ill (throat infections, tonsilitis etc) yet ds never comes down with anything.

DD has chicken pox.

Soooo glad to hear other people are sick too - I mean I thought it was just my family. My sister said to me 'your children are always ill'. thanks. dd coughing like a seal, ds had tonsilitus and chest infection, then diarrhoea, now just (just!) cold and coughing all night. Calpol and tissues abundant in this house.

Now have dd3 ill too - fever, headache, not eating....

Blimey, mine's not as ill as some of yours, hope they all get better v soon, but she does have a very snotty nose.

Ywa 15 month son has high temp is really hot to tonch the community health nurse said it sounds viral he is off his food he has just gotten over a throat infection a couple of weeds ago and a wee before that a cold and cough i hate it when he is sick i think what do i do i dont want to keep taken him to the emergency dapartment all the time they'll think i;m overreacting mother and i dont want to have to have him on antibiotics all the time either

three just over chicken pox and croup - not I have a bad cold just as I thought I might recover some sleep.

Sorry to be dim, but can someone please tell me what 39.5 is in "real money"? Is it about 101?

Taking ds back to docs today as he is worse than yesterday. Let's hope our children are all better for Christmas eh?

Haven't been able to read the whole thread, but my ds has a terrbile cough too atm.

Is there something other than medised (calpol & nurophen) that will dry his nose or help ease the cough? He is 2.5. He's being sick with the phlem now, I just want to give him something to help bring it up or to ease the congestion. High temp last night too.

ds had(15 months) pneumonia a couple of weeks ago- has had 5 days of being well and is now puffing and wheezing away like an old steam train again. So frustrating. Also means his eczema has flared up again.

ds had throat infection, and a fever of 39, 40 for days. took him to three different doctors - only the final time did the dr do urine test and it showed he had UTI (and so now he's being referred for that). he's just finished a 7-day course of antibios and now has a stinking cold again but is much happier.

it's SO awful when they're ill, isn't it?

my 9 month ds just got over two weeks of streaming nose and chesty cough, to be hit with one week of 'chicken korma' runs. sorry, no other way to describe it! he reverted to total breastfeeding for three weeks, which made it quite difficult when i caught the vomiting bug and couldnt keep down enough fluids to make any milk. now we are all better, just in time to cook christmas dinner for the masses. yup,great idea! they have been warned....

both dds have a hideous cough and dd2 has woken up for the last three nights several times after being sick everywhere, yuk! and tonight she did it at the dinner table. Have tried starving her for 24 hours and that worked until the following bedtime, when she did it again! Xmas dinner will be fun!

DS is just getting over a chest infection thankfully the antebiotics I got on Thursday have started to kick in today... he was like the energiser bunny today!! He had been really poorly since Monday with a high temperature!

this am our dvd cabinet fell on dd 4 she was playing with balloon she has cut her chin has been glued and bandaged blood everywhere and she has flu......

Poor dd2 has got that temperature virus thingy which seems to be doing the rounds now! She barely has an ill free day just lurches from one thing to another at the moment .

My ds has just been diagnosed with diabetes and came out of hospital today. There were three kids in his ward with pnuemonia.

Me and the 2 ds's all have the 24 hour sickness bug that is going around.

ds2 has the cough from hell, sticky gunky eyes and the absolute miseries.he's done nothing but whine in that sad pathetic little crying voice they do.
he was ill last christmas too! we think it must be his own special christmas tradition!
he's only 2 and his first christmas when he was 3 months old he had the vomits!

ds had the vomit bug going around on Monday,he had never been sick before and he was so scared.

Lucky for us dd dp and myself didnt get it!

My two dd's have both had conjuctvitis this week and guess who has it today, yours truly.

I am always amazed how stuff travels through familys,my sister has 8 children,so if anything was going around her life was a nightmare!

i have been ill with - i reckon food poisoning, cos dd has had it - bad stomach cramps - only lasted 24 hours for me - she started today hope shes better in morning, dh went to bed for 3 hours earlier on and ds1 felt ill at his girlfriends. ds2 isn't ill thats because hes been at his aunties me thinks.

i hate xmas

We had 1 nearly all day visit to a&e because ds had some glass in his foot and 3 days of d&v from dd, who is better today, hurrah! Dh is not his best today though but it's better than the children having it.
