DD (3) has viral pneumonia
Two weeks ago she had tummy bug and the week before that tonsilitis.
She has never had this many illnesses altogether let alone one after the other.
Who else is soothing high temps, wiping green noses and cuddling poorly babes as they hack and wheeze away with a rotten cough.
I want a magic wand, she is such a little trooper.

Me too. Ds2 has horrendous cold and cough and is just wiped out with it. He slept 15 hours last night! Still looks exhausted though. Is does up on Calpol and currently eating tomato soup (his favourite) before heading back to the sofa.

Hah! Spoke too soon. He's refusing the soup, but has eaten the bread and butter. [Sigh.]

coldturkey · 12/12/2005 13:31

Yup, DD (1) has a upset tummy and DS (3) has got chest infection and two weeks ago a tummy bug.

SantasSandyBalls · 12/12/2005 13:31

My two spent the weekend taking it in turns to throw up all over the house . Not so bad when it's bedding that can be chucked in the washing machine, but it was all over the sofas and carpet as well. Hideous.

QueensSpeechEagle · 12/12/2005 13:32

dd has sore throat and cough.

ds3 has cough, never ending runny nose.

ds4 has cough and cold.

Eve · 12/12/2005 13:45

DS 1 (6) is off school today with hacking cough and was off Friday with tummy bug.

Bless him, he was in tears this morning as his throat was hurting so much. DS 2 (3) heard him crying and when told he was sick, came running in with towels to put all over the bed incase he was sick.

1 x hacking spasmy cough leading to vomiting (he's been indoors and isolated since Thursday)(2nd such virus since October but no gap in between
1 x straightforward cold (sent him to school)
1 x straightforward tickly cough (also at school)and...
1 x healthy child (at school of course!)...plus...

1 under the weather mum with huge dark shadows under eyes, rough throat and intermittent nausea. Yep. I think the toxic throat is coming my way. Better now than next week I suppose.

missy8 · 12/12/2005 14:33

dd10mths also has hacking cough really chesty with it and vile green nappies,i have also spoke to other mums on other threads who seem to be having similar goings on with their children ,also my 2 other dd's aged 11 and 14 complaining of chests feeling raw it certainly must be doing the rounds..

mazzystar · 12/12/2005 14:36

the baby has hs just shaken tonsilitis in time to get a chest infection

and i think i have it too

paolosgirl · 12/12/2005 14:38

Also have the one with the hacking cought that turns to vomit - lovely! He's not actually ill as in confined to bed - but I still don't think the school would appreciate it if I sent him.

DH and I are now having the usual 'who takes the time off work' arguement

aragon · 12/12/2005 14:41

I think DS may have chicken pox - has a runny nose and some very raised red spots. But he's actually quite well so it may in fact turn out not to be chicken pox at all. Hope not as I've never had it.

deckthehillswithboughsofmummy · 12/12/2005 14:41

DD (nearly4) terrible cold just got her temp down hoping it doesn't settle on chest as she is asthmatic. Keeping her off nursery but the school aren't impressed.

DS (10wks) snuffling well if his temp spikes I will have to get him in with gp.

Me feeling lousey too combination of dds killer cold and lack of sleep tending to the two little mites!!

suedonim · 12/12/2005 15:41

Aw, get well vibes to all the poorly ones!

Hardly a baby but my 18yo dd has a perforated eardrum and dd2 is complaining of sore glands today. Ho hum, it's wintertime.

Kelly1978 · 12/12/2005 15:45

epiffany - how awful, hope she gets better soon.

dts both have colds, and ds has a tummy bug, so three out of four for me.

Heathcliffscathy · 12/12/2005 15:46

me. ds has horrible cough and cold and has puked phlegm up at around 3am for the last four nights.

he also had gunky eyes but thankfully that has stopped now...

mummydear · 12/12/2005 16:10

OhlittletownofEIDSVOLD · 13/12/2005 05:42

I am about to have one although she has had a horrid cough for about four weeks that nothing seems to have shifted.

Dd1 is due to have adenoids, tonsils out and grommets in tomorrow.

vicimelly · 13/12/2005 05:57

dd has a mystery 'bug' not worth going to gp with I suspect, although I've managed to pick it up from her today and am feeling like I'm at death's door!! arn't kids great!!!
She's got a high temp, but no sickness, rash or vomiting, just very very quiet and feeling sorry for herself, as am I right now! lol

Auntybrandybutter · 13/12/2005 06:35
