DD (3) has viral pneumonia
Two weeks ago she had tummy bug and the week before that tonsilitis.
She has never had this many illnesses altogether let alone one after the other.
Who else is soothing high temps, wiping green noses and cuddling poorly babes as they hack and wheeze away with a rotten cough.
I want a magic wand, she is such a little trooper.

I spoke too soon re the d&v being better - I went to bed late last night to be greeted by an horrendous smell, dd's nappy had exploded everywhere and she was sleeping in it, god knows why she didn't scream for us, she must have been really knackered. So bathed her at midnight and she was seeming ok until same again just now At least she's happy in herself, I suppose that's something. Dh took to bed at 8.30 last night and is still there, he's got the same double

DP sick on Christmas Eve & Day. DD sick Christmas Day/today. I have woken up with a horrible cold (although at first thought it was an allergy to DD's new hamster!) and DS has recovered from sickness, but has a cold now. Just waiting for the sickness bug to strike me now ....

I posted earlier about dd's tonilitis and pneumonia. As soon as that cleared up she caught a horrid cold which she is just about recovering from, but we are knackered. Her sleeping is rubbish, she's waking up about 3am every morning and taking at least an hour to get back to sleep.

Both dds coughing and spluttering, with raised temps and off their food. They are lying on the sofa under a duvet with dh in between them. All looking very sorry for themselves.

DD2's virus turned out to be tonsilitis again! Dh had to take her to emergency docs on Christmas day as she had been hallucinating with the high temperature. Ho Hum just hope she's not given it to my very fragile 82 yr old mother!

Lmccrean · 26/12/2005 16:23

cant complain too much, as dd isnt that bad...but has had a really chesty cough for weeks and doc wont give her anything for it..She just called me (my smart bro taught her how to use speed dial) at work and begged me to come home to cuddle her Is it really weird she only gets a temperature at night time??

Mine was sick one day. I gave her a medicine (powder) which I was given by doctor in Czech and I rought it back here. She was wommiting. This helps fwhen wommiting and diorhea. It si for babies and pregnant women as well. You can not over dose and it is totally harmless. Calms your stomach and guts and does not stay in your body, you just poo it out. I gave her twoo doses and she was fine. I could not find anything like this over here. It is french product but I do not know if I can release its name here.

DS1 has a nasty cough and has gone off his food, just about fell asleep in his dinner tonight.

We3kingsofOrinocoare · 27/12/2005 22:38

...oh, and add nits to the list, I've just put her eye ointment in whilst she's asleep and seen them grinning at me. You won't be grinning tomorrow you barstools when I zap you...(evil cackle..)

That's it I'm going mad

Thankfully my 2 are fit and well this year about 3 years ago we spent christmas day in the duty chemist stocking up on medicine, anti bac spray, bed mats and pull ups. This was after watching my son then 6 trying to open his presents while being sick continually. DD didn't even make it out of bed, it still makes me cry to think about it. The whole family apart from me got ill and i managed to eat turkey on my own in between mopping up after everybody.

Every year apart from the last 2 we have been at A&E, one year DD fell the entire length of the stairs on Christmas morning and FIL was convinced she had broken her ribs, DS split his head another year etc etc. Even DS first year he was in Hospital on Christmas eve after I discovered blodd in his nappy. Oh the joys of Christmas .
