So pleased to see a shiny new thread! Thanks @AnneKipanki. I do love these threads 😊

That border is lovely @popgoesperfection.

That Pudsey Bear Rose is a gorgeous colour @RaptorInaPorkPieHat, especially against the darker leaves.

I share a Climbing Rose and a little wicker planter of mine.

I like those @beautyisfoundwithin.
@popgoesperfection , I have been out with my measuring tape . The flower head on the rogersia is 2 feet 3 inches long and it is a foot wide at the base .

Beautiful Day Lily, Ive never seen that colouration

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 04/07/2020 14:46

Ah thanks... I think (having googled) that it's probably this Hemerocallis Catherine Woodbery I rarely pay attention to names of plants but it's a very close fit.

I love the border, and the planter. My borders/planters rarely manage to look that put together.

Oldraver · 04/07/2020 15:46

I'm being e teeny bit impatient not waiting till this is in full flower, but my Berries and ( just a tad showing) Berries buddleja

I love cat pictures too.... for their utter laziness and contentment, as well as the fact that they always look as though you're trespassing in their garden 😂

Amazing @Vicliz24

AnneKipanki · 04/07/2020 16:23

Have you seen the thug cat thread @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet ?

I love this thread and the previous one - so many beautiful pictures! As you are all clearly fabulous gardeners, please could I ask some advice? I have posted a picture of my latest effort to join in Grin but if you would prefer I can start a different thread for advice..

Inspired by these threads I have bought a rose plant. It is a DA Thomas A Beckett (I'm easily influenced Grin) Is there any advice when planting it out in the garden? I have bought rose food and read to dig 40 x 60cm but if there are any other tips I would be grateful!

You can see from the picture what kind of gardener I am but I'm really keen not to kill this rose plant...

Ooh . Are there drainage holes in the bottom of that container?

OP posts:
AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 04/07/2020 16:26

I did, a year or so ago. I haven't kept up with the second (and probably third)? one. It was so entertaining. I even kept one or two of the pictures from it Smile

AnneKipanki · 04/07/2020 16:28

It is still number 2 but getting pretty full .

Here's my planter. It's made from an old army freight box that carried artillery.

A view down our garden through the verbena which is almost 6 feet tall! One of our new DA roses called Scepter'd Isle and another shameless cat photo of one of our moggies looking very surprised in the veg plot 😅
