Weekly new recipe thread part 2

Continuing one of my favourite threads on MN. I've tagged everyone who's been on the thread this year, but it's not an exclusive club - the more the merrier!

Not really the season for it but I made this Winter cabbage & apple soup (Anna Jones, One Pot, Pan, Planet just to use up some red cabbage. I think the quantities of vinegar were way off, and rendered it almost inedible.

Rhubarb Custard Crumble Cake - Nicola Lamb
My crumble didn't get particularly crunchy, I wonder if I should have cooked it for longer - I didn't use all of the crumble mix as it looked too much ahead of baking but once it was out of the oven I thought that I probably could have got away with using all of it. I think I could have done with cooking the custard a bit longer as I felt I could still taste the cornflour a bit but c'est la vie! It was still a tasty cake.

I have been making some new recipes -admittedly not as many as I would like, feel as if I’ve gone off the boil a bit 😂
Cod with Chorizo - this was absolutely delicious, as I love chorizo I did add a few extra slices and would happily do the same again.
Mushroom soup - another tasty Tom Kerridge recipe. A great lunchtime meal with a piece of crusty bread, again would repeat.
Tabbouleh - I made this for a small gathering and it went down very well, some great punchy flavours that marry well together.
