From Too Good To Go! Have had mixed results previously, once I got some sourdough bread, organic lamb, organic pork and lots of veg for 4 quid! But last time it was a gone off artichoke, peaches and squashy bananas. Does anyone else use it?
One bag is from the local health food shop, and one from a local cafe. Might ask for recipe suggestions later depending on what I get.

I've just tried this for the 1st time.

Got to the Morrisoons Daily store an hour after collection opened swiped my tab to say I was there and show them my code and they turned around and said "sorry, no delivery today, so no bags". When I said I'd already paid, they just shrugged and said cancel, which was too late for me to do. When I tried to ask how to get refunded and why they hadn't cancelled it from their end they just said "come back tomorrow instead".

Feeling kinda scammed, tbh, and really disappointed. The staff seemed to think it was funny too, which left a bad taste. What a wasted journey too.

Oh that’s so annoying I’m sorry - email Too Good to Go they will refund you.

Morrisons usually really good BFF r heaps of fruit and veg.

Thanks, @Justjoinedforthis, I've emailed them via the address I found and it sent an automated reply saying they don't respond to this email ([email protected]) and to use the app, which I did.

From that, I had a response saying thanks for getting in touch we'll get back to you (usually within a week), which seems a really long time.

I have to say that atm I'm not impressed with the fact that if something goes wrong you're reliant on them bothering to reply and fix it and that you can't speak to someone, so you are basically at their mercy and waiting for them to get in touch.

I know it isn't a lot of money, but that's not the point.

I tried again today with a more well known grocery store (rather than a petrol station), but it has been cancelled already as they don't have any leftover food waste today.

So far, my experience has been shit, lol.

The refund is automatic. As this happened to me (on my first one too) and I went round the houses to find out what was going on. But it is def automatic so they actually shouldn’t take the money until you’ve collected. It’s not very clear as does look on your account like they have taken it!

Energycrisisworrier · 22/09/2022 07:13

The bit I'm was worried about is because I swiped the collect tab it shows as collected. Where their English wasn't great they were difficult to understand and, being my 1st time, I didn't realise you shouldn't swipe until they say they've got a bag for you, so I showed them the order and then swiped it in front of them to get the code.
It then shows as collected on the app and it was only after I did that that they then said "no bags today". So according to the app I did collect my bag.

Oh I’m sorry @Energycrisisworrier i slightly misunderstood you there (or more likely didn’t read your post properly 😳) I hope they sort it for you quickly

Energycrisisworrier · 22/09/2022 16:19

No problem; you live and learn, I guess.

Just picked this up from Costa. Was hoping for some sweet treats for the weekend, but a good haul for £3!
Breakfast and lunch for the weekend is sorted.

I find Costa and Greggs great value, especially with the DC being 21/23, you can freeze a lot too. I've had a great haul from both in the last week, stashed away for lunches etc.

inappropriateraspberry · 22/09/2022 17:55

I've never thought about freezing them, good idea!

DoctorMartin · 22/09/2022 18:01

Getting one from the Little Waitrose at the petrol station later - it's always fantastic!

I bought a bag from Morrisons a couple of months ago, to be told there were none left, when I went to collect. They refunded me at the till as like you I swiped the app. Really cross as it was quite the trip, have deleted the app after that shenanigans.

NewBootsAndRanty · 28/09/2022 18:38

Got a good haul from the pound bakery- tuna sandwich, 2 pieces of carrot cake, 2 caramel donuts, a cornish pasty, a steak pasty and meat pie for £2.74.

Justjoinedforthis · 29/09/2022 06:56

Usually customer service for TGTG is quite good I think? Idiotically went to the wrong branch of Greggs, send them an apology email, and they gave me a voucher back for it.

I did a Starbucks order from the station yesterday after travelling for work. Got a ham & cheese toastie, a cheese toastie, and three triple chocolate cookies. Not bad!

I tried a "Deliveroo Hop" order from one of those grocery depot places the other day and got a giant bag of groceries for £5. It included apples, grapes, tomatoes, new potatoes, two pints of milk, some burrata cheese, two packets of sausage rolls, some custard. Happy with that!
