From Too Good To Go! Have had mixed results previously, once I got some sourdough bread, organic lamb, organic pork and lots of veg for 4 quid! But last time it was a gone off artichoke, peaches and squashy bananas. Does anyone else use it?
One bag is from the local health food shop, and one from a local cafe. Might ask for recipe suggestions later depending on what I get.

Greggs haul:
Cheese ploughmans sandwich
Kids cheese sandwich
Vegan cheese and ?"ham"? baguette
Vegetable bake
Pink iced donut
Jammy donut
Two yum yums.
£2.59

There's a new TGTG m&s simply food in my area - hoping to get one soon!

DeanStockwelll · 28/07/2022 22:23

I really wish I could reserve some of these I do have some local but they always seem to be either when I'm in work and can't get away or late at night isn't worth me trying to get back into the city centre at 9 at night

>>>sulking a bit <<<<

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 28/07/2022 22:25

Seriously I need one of these greggs bags!

Got DH to pick up a Starbucks bag for £4 on his way home from work. Almond croissant for my breakfast and a tuna melt panini for lunch. And a bacon sandwich for him plus a Caesar chicken wrap for his lunch.

Happy with that knowing usual Starbucks sandwich prices.

dizzyupthegirl86 · 29/07/2022 06:33

I’ve just noticed a new one in the shopping centre near me, extrawurst. I’ve not tried anything from there though.
I agree that some of the times are awkward, the Tim hortons one at midnight annoys me! And I’d probably try a carvery one but for the fact that it’s pick up at 21.30!

inappropriateraspberry · 29/07/2022 17:06

Not too impressed with my 'artisan' haul, granted it would cost more than £5 for this at normal prices, but 2 big sausage rolls and a chunk of sourdough bread isn't amazing! I'm sure it's all delicious, but I'm veggie, so won't be eating a sausage roll! The rest of the family will enjoy them.

Update - bread is very tasty, and normally £5 for a loaf! Sausage rolls will be tried tomorrow.

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 29/07/2022 20:07

Spar bag incoming!

Muchtoomuchtodo · 29/07/2022 20:47

I keep missing the ones for our local cake boutique. I reckon there might just be 1 available each time. I’m not giving up though!

DeanStockwelll · 29/07/2022 22:42

Woo hoo I snaffled my 1st two bags this evening, I was really lucky to the shops are only 100 yds apart the pick-up time only 15 minutes apart.
The baguettes from Upper Crust are normally around £4.50 each not sure how much pastry is, and sausage rolls and pasties from Upper Crust around £3 each both bags were £4 each so a good meal, maybe not as good as some other pp but it's sorted my supoer out for tonight and lunch for tomorrow.

Spar bag incoming!

Gutted... they cancelled it 5 mins before pick up.

DeanStockwelll · 29/07/2022 23:16

Argh that's really annoying!
Especially if you have made a special journey/ gone out of your way to get it

Peckhampalace · 29/07/2022 23:58

Picked up magic beer today, delivery place which is moving. 24 cans of pale ale/lager for £20. Most acceptable lager at 83p a can :-)

Decemberly · 30/07/2022 12:36

This is from our local artisan bakery this morning which never disappoints. We got two bags, contents in both more or less the same for £3.89 each (pastries are around £3.50 each usually)

Ooh, this is so exciting, I had never heard of this app. I have just reserved a magic bag from Simmons for £4. Never shop in there as too expensive. Am really hoping I get a lovely loaf or two and some cakes! Will post later, pick up is 16.45. Fingers crossed.

Cantstandsmugness · 30/07/2022 16:59

Pretty happy with my haul!

Cantstandsmugness · 30/07/2022 18:51

@DeanStockwelll am converted - most of it is in the freezer. Can't believe I didn't know about this. Feel like I have won the lottery. Has made my day.

DeanStockwelll · 30/07/2022 19:01

I had never heard of them before this thread either , ( thank you @Justjoinedforthis ) you have hit the jackpot there which is great but I think your next bags may feel like a bit of a let down by comparison.

I have eaten all of mine now, all of it except the sausage roll which was almost cremated , was v nice

Starlightstarbright1 · 30/07/2022 19:31

Cookie79 · 30/07/2022 21:27

I got a Starbucks one. Good value for money - two pizzettas, two wraps and a vegan “tuna” sandwich for £3.59 - but very disappointed there was nothing sweet!
