Tomorrow: takeaway, after the last of my work deadlines I’ve earned it
Saturday: saag aloo (home made)
Sunday: leaving this to DP
Monday: lentil and cauliflower tagine with flatbreads
Tuesday: noodles and veg stirfry with a Thai peanut sauce
Then all bets are off until Sunday Grin

Peanut dish looks great. What sort of sides would go with it?

I’m off the thread for the next 3 weeks because I made it home for Christmas and my mum is in charge! Happy meal planning and see you in 2021!

I don’t have it with sides, big bowl of noodles loads of stir fried veg and the sauce Smile

Friday - prawn tacos
Saturday - lamb kofte kebab
Sunday - roast chicken all the trimmings (which is most Sundays) a mini Christmas dinner as I don't cook a traditional Christmas Day dinner. The only difference really is that I have bought chipolatas.
Monday - sweet potato and bean chilli, jacket potato
Tuesday - Thai chicken salad
Wednesday - salmon, not sure how or what with yet
Thursday - Spiced chicken livers on toast, monkfish wrapped in Parma ham - Husband cooking

At some stage the Christmas snacks are going to deplete and I'm going to have to start planning again Grin

Totally out of ideas, inspiration and energy. Anyone else?

I'm coming back to this thread for the first time in ages because it helps me feel accountable for proper meal planning and ensuring I keep supermarket shopping to a minimum:

Tonight: Stir-fried chilli and garlic chicken and cabbage with noodles.
Tomorrow: "Basic Pasta" - tomato, pepper and mushroom sauce
Wednesday - Root veg curry
Thursday - aubergine and orzo bake
Friday - "fish & chips" - Baked fish with potato wedges and veg
Sat - Tapas spread (patatas bravas, chorizo in cider, jamon, manchego, tortilla, olives and habas fritas)
Sun - Duck breast, mashed potato and cabbage.
(unless the cabbage doesn't look like it will last until Friday, then I'll replace the aubergine dish with a cabbage pasta dish and the duck with yassa chicken.)

Mon - Baked potato & veggie chilli
Tues - basic pasta.
(wednesday = shopping day)

Lunches are: Thai spice vegetable soup for the next two days, then bagels or pittas with tuna mayo until the weekend and leftover tapas thereafter (emergency soup tins in cupboard if needed).

ElfAndSafetyInspector · 11/01/2021 14:55

This week is

S: Tempeh teriyaki
S: Tagine and couscous
M: Spinach and mushroom quinoa pilaf
T: Rice bowl with sweet potato, tofu and greens
W: sausage, potatoes & sprouts
T: White bean and parsnip stew and rice
F: Leftovers or takeaway if there aren't any leftovers

HalloumiFries · 01/02/2021 14:05
