So.... Is anyone interested in a thread where we all say what we are having for tea / dinner depending on where you live, and I can steal your lovely ideas. Hopefully we could share ideas?
We are having turkey burgers in buns with corn on the cob and salad tonight, homemade pizza tomorrow.

God I love these threads, I could literally read about food all day! Tonight we're having spicy brown lentils with rice and yoghurt and some leaves, and a glass of white wine.

Sure thing, I sort of make it up as I go along:
Fry on a low heat a red onion, three chilis and three cloves of garlic. Add some spices - I used sumac, paprika, garam masala and black pepper. Then pour in some brown lentils (maybe a cup? I soak them for a couple of hours first). Let the lentils cook for a minute or so, then pour over boiling water so they're covered, and add a stock cube or fresh stock, and a couple of bayleaves. Then cook for about an hour depending on how soft you like them, adding more water if they dry out.
x

Am torturing myself reading about all this lovely food as I'm 5 days into recovery from tonsil removal so not eating much at all! I've gotten so many lovely ideas for when I stuff myself when I feel better. If I ever feel better!

Yes I'm this excited about a salad but it is literally the best thing I've ever made

No tea for me tonight (although other people sound lovely).

It's DS1's birthday tomorrow so (as is traditional) exP came down (with his OH) and we all went out for a celebratory lunch. We went to a Japanese restaurant and it was lovely. No one is hungry now though.

MIL came round earlier and we all had expanded afternoon tea - sandwiches, salad, cherry tomatoes, cheese straws, dippy dips, pickles, crisps, potato salad, etc etc - followed by scones with jam and clotted cream. So just leftover picky bits this eve! We moved house last week and the new oven just arrived this morning so we can crack on with real food as of tomorrow. Loving this thread for ideas!

I love these threads. Especially on days like today where I've actually eaten a decent meal rather than any old crap from the freezer Grin.

We had lamb steaks, couscous, roasted peppers and courgettes, sugar snap peas and a cucumber, mint and yoghurt dip. 'Twas lovely!
