So.... Is anyone interested in a thread where we all say what we are having for tea / dinner depending on where you live, and I can steal your lovely ideas. Hopefully we could share ideas?
We are having turkey burgers in buns with corn on the cob and salad tonight, homemade pizza tomorrow.

hamburgers and salad tonight!

randomer I would suggest that you read through this thread and pick out say half a dozen ideas you like the sound of.

What do you cook when you do cook? Will you be eating at the same time together or people eating at different times? (Stews good for the latter - people can pick their own portion from the hob).

Thai green curry for us all tonight with noodles and prawn crackers. Tummy's rumbling just thinking about it!

randomer · 05/07/2016 14:27

thanks slimcheesy......I do like stew and obviously it has the advantage of freezing well. Think I am just tired

Allalonenow · 05/07/2016 14:45

Chicken casserole for tonight, done in a creamy herby sauce, and served with new potatoes.

IHaveBrilloHair · 05/07/2016 15:09

Gammon tonight with barbecue sauce from a huge joint I portioned and froze the other week, macaroni cheese using up some gruyere and green beans.
It's sort of American style.

MyBreadIsEggy · 05/07/2016 16:11

Sausage and mash with broccoli tonight....boring but easy.

PeppaAteMySoul · 05/07/2016 16:15

Cheese and mushroom omelette with salad and bread and butter. (Utterly boring but am trying to use up what we have before going shopping again)

Glamorousglitter · 05/07/2016 16:20

BBQ burgers, salad, homemade potato wedges, roasted marshmallows after

Glamorousglitter · 05/07/2016 16:22

Oh and salad- made the loveliest cucumber pear pomegranate and coriander salad with quinoa (had never used quinoa before )

Hopelass · 05/07/2016 16:29

Getting my arse in gear and cooking tonight. Been finding it difficult recently as 6 months pregnant and as per last night I spent ages making pork steaks in homemade cider and mustard sauce with jersey royals, carrots and runner beans then suddenly went off it and ended up having peanut butter on toast Confused at least DP and DS liked it.
Tonight I'm trying again and have made a lentil dhal with naan bread also poppadoms and a homemade chutney of finely chopped tomato (skinned and seeded) cucumber (peeled and finely chopped), coriander and red onion mixed with mango chutney. Looking forward to it at the mo...........

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 05/07/2016 16:30

Chicken and veg pie with chips Smile

FourForYouGlenCoco · 05/07/2016 18:54

Still going strong on bbq leftovers here! Tonight will be potato salad (homemade & v yummy) with salad and bread & butter. Really hot here today so think we can get away with it, nice summery type food.
Hopeless I feel your pain - am 36+4 and running out of space now - keep cooking delicious things and being able to eat about 3 mouthfuls before I'm full up! Just have to watch DH in envy while he eats normal amounts Angry

FourForYouGlenCoco · 05/07/2016 18:54

Hopelass even, frigging autocorrect

insan1tyscartching · 05/07/2016 19:56

Chicken and chips today because I didn't cook the chicken on Sunday because of ds going out and dd being very hungover and not wanting food.

IHaveBrilloHair · 06/07/2016 17:19

Dirty rice tonight, well a version of it anyway.

SecretlycrushingonTomHanks · 06/07/2016 20:33

We had homemade lasagne tonight with garlic bread and did a dairy free version for DD's. It's DD1s favourite dinner, she eats the same amount as me & DH and she's a teeny slim 5 year old! Smile

Heyheyheygoodbye · 06/07/2016 21:28

Pie and peas tonight :)

insan1tyscartching · 07/07/2016 12:28

Jacket spuds tonight with choose your own fillings and salad on the side feel like a quick and simple dinner today.

MyBreadIsEggy · 07/07/2016 12:58

I need to do something with sausages for Dd tonight but have no idea what.
DH and I will have a late dinner when he gets home.
It's either sausage-something for Dd or leftover cottage pie Hmm

SecretlycrushingonTomHanks · 07/07/2016 15:33

We're having sausages and mash tonight MyBreadIsEggy but I make a lovely sausage casserole as well if you fancy a change? It's tomatoey and lovely with a garlic baguette or flatbread. DD's sometimes have pasta with theirs. Recipe available of you'd like it Grin.

MyBreadIsEggy · 07/07/2016 16:31

Secretly we had sausage and mash on Tuesday!! I'm trying to use the sausages that I didn't cook then....too late for sausage casserole now, but I would like the recipe anyway!!
She'll have left over cottage pie with some broccoli and gravy I think 👍🏻

SecretlycrushingonTomHanks · 07/07/2016 16:36

It's called sausage casserole but actually I just do it in the pot as a one pot meal so nice and quick! Will pm you the recipe later this evening once DD's are in bed and I have peace. School holidays have a lot to answer for! 😩

MyBreadIsEggy · 07/07/2016 16:40

Thanks Secretly !
I feel your pain...I'm hanging out for bed time tonight! My Dd is only 14 months old, but is walking and tantrumming all over the bloody shop today 😫
