So.... Is anyone interested in a thread where we all say what we are having for tea / dinner depending on where you live, and I can steal your lovely ideas. Hopefully we could share ideas?
We are having turkey burgers in buns with corn on the cob and salad tonight, homemade pizza tomorrow.

OP posts:
Allalonenow · 29/06/2016 16:12

Sausage, puy lentils and tomato casserole here, a real summer dish! Grin

officebairn · 29/06/2016 16:18

Love when these threads pop up, just wrote out my whole meal plan for the next week Brew

MotherofPearl · 29/06/2016 16:36

Chicken thighs (on the bone, with skin intact) slow roasted on a bed of loads and loads of cherry tomatoes, whole cloves of garlic, basil, olive oil, splash of red wine vinegar, and butter beans. Crusty bread optional!

purpleviolet1 · 29/06/2016 18:21

I loooove this thread. Either chicken nachos, baked potato or cauliflower cheese with grilled chicken here tonight. Haven't decided yet.

Palomb · 29/06/2016 19:17

I'm low carbing and had just made chicken with proscuitto and Parmesan and a huge salad and asked dh to put a plate over it while I took DD to guides. He didn't. The cats had it in the 15 minutes I was out so I've now got fuck all. I have actually cried.

IHaveBrilloHair · 29/06/2016 21:06

Carbonara here tonight, it's the first dish I ever learned to cook and is a firm favourite.
Tomorrow is either thai yellow seafood curry or broccoli and blue cheese fritatta.

SlimCheesy2 · 29/06/2016 21:39

Palomb... after that I would so be sending DH out for chinese.
Thanks

FourForYouGlenCoco · 29/06/2016 21:54

Palomb Sad gutted for you! Agree with Cheesy, hope he made up for it with something equally awesome!

Curry-coated red pepper strips & quorn chicken here, with rice, naan breads, pappadums, mango chutney and tzatziki (should have been raita, but we're having falafel later in the week so I substituted so I can use it then!).

CaptainWarbeck · 30/06/2016 08:37

Paneer creamy cashew curry here with flatbreads and rice.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 30/06/2016 12:22

Cooking a big gammon, so having that with egg and chips tonight. Ham and lentil soup with the stock tomorrow, and probably some sort of cheesey, hammy pasta bake later in the week.

Allalonenow · 30/06/2016 13:25

Pork chop cooked with apples and cider, might have it with new potatoes or lentils.

insan1tyscartching · 30/06/2016 13:25

Hotdogs or burgers with salad and home made chunky coleslaw today. Strawberries and raspberries with ice cream for pudding.

IHaveBrilloHair · 30/06/2016 13:34

The paneer, cashew curry sounds gorgeous

MotherofPearl · 30/06/2016 19:49

The cashew curry sounds delicious, and I do also love a pork chop. DP out tonight so thought I'd defrost a portion of chilli from the freezer. Turned out it was actually bolognaise, which I've just had on rice. Confused

MyBreadIsEggy · 30/06/2016 19:50

We had Nandos for lunch! So it's just a little "picky tea" for us tonight. Mini sausage rolls, pork pie, cheese and crackers, some pickles and Pringles Grin
(Dd had some leftover lasagne from the freezer earlier!)

SecretlycrushingonTomHanks · 30/06/2016 19:55

Homemade cottage pie with brocolli and fresh crusty bread for us tonight. Everybody cleared their plates including 9 month old DD2 Grin.

NationMcKinley · 30/06/2016 20:33

Some great recipes here! Going to try the smashed tomato pasta sauce one tomorrow.

We had halloumi burgers in crusty rolls with chilli jam, salad and sweet potato wedges, Lush. Wine was involved.

bookbook · 30/06/2016 20:51

We had bubble and squeak with poached eggs.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 30/06/2016 21:42

Homemade falafel in pita (pitta?!) bread with hummus and lettuce, plus tortilla chips, marinated feta, and extra salad on the side topped with balsamic mushrooms. Also lots of dips - sour cream, onion & garlic, cheese & chive, tzatziki! Yum.

CaptainWarbeck · 01/07/2016 09:17

Well the cashew curry was nice but it ended up having to have halloumi in it instead of paneer because all the shops round us had sold out. Halloumi was still good though. It's creamy because you blitz the cashews up with milk. Best curry tip I've had, makes it really tasty.

Veggie hot dogs tonight with lots of fried onions and french mustard.

SlimCheesy2 · 01/07/2016 12:34

The cashew curry sounds lush. Could you post a recipe pretty please?

We are having roast chicken tonight with roasted pots, roasted butternut squash, broccoli, sweet corn and cabbage. Mmmm..... DH cannot cope with alot of meatso the chicken portion will be teeny and the veg portion HUGE!!!

MelanieCheeks · 01/07/2016 19:07

Leftover cajun chicken (a Colmans done in a bag thing which had rice and peppers in it), fried up with prawn and mushroom, so it's a kinda paella.

Heyheyheygoodbye · 01/07/2016 19:10

Last night sausage and root veg mash. Tonigt Chinese Grin Tomorrow salad Sad

Allalonenow · 01/07/2016 19:27

Sheeps cheese with cherry jam, and fennel salami for nibbles with G&T.
Tagliatelli with mushrooms and a cheesey sauce.
Cream eclair.

I'm trying to thin out my store cupboard a bit, so have eaten plenty of lentils and beans this week and thought it was time for a change! Wine Wine

FourForYouGlenCoco · 01/07/2016 22:22

Stir fry here. Checked we had soy sauce the other day - got it out the cupboard halfway through cooking, only to discover it's actually Worcestershire sauce! So it was a little unusual, but ok enough that I think I got away with it Grin
