Fascinating pictures! I could pore over them for hours [nerd]
The sheer amount of processed crap in the American and British pictures is disturbing. No wonder there's an obesity epidemic and, while many of us on here are saying that wouldn't represent us, it's a fact that most UK and American supermarkets have aisles full of crisps and sweets and snacks and junk compared to e.g. Germany when I lived there and sweets and chocolate were available but in much smaller quantities.
You can see that in the German family's photo - they have some Kinder chocolate and ice-cream in the front of their photo but it's a small amount compared to the British stuff.
We live in the US but don't eat any fast food and barely any processed food at all. I'm celiac so most of it isn't suitable for me anyway. I would say that we're probably more like Canada in our shopping habits. In my dreams, I'm in Turkey or Guatemala though! Their stuff looks yummy...
