I would like to think we eat like Italy or Mexico, in reality tis more like USA or UK

What is going on with Japan - that looks like more packets of processed stuff than fresh veg,is that actually right?

Wow, that's really interesting. I think I'm probably India. I amazed by all the meat in some of the pictures, and the massive inequality.

I think we are most like Canada, if you take out the meat and fish. I'm shocked by the amount of soft drinks that most people seem to consume! We only ever drink squash, juice, milk and water (and wine for me!) on a regular basis. I do usually have some coke or lemonade hanging around but rarely actually drink it.

Ours looks a lot like Italy - too many carbs!

Actually I'm India but with British quantities of tea and coffee. I think that in our house, we're a bit odd in terms of what we eat, tbh!

we're probably like Italy but with much less bread and no pop, but more meat. I too am shocked by all the sugary drinks. We just have water, juice or milk and beer in this house. I thought that was normal.

bran I read Belching out the Decil by Mark Thomas (on the evils of coca cola, & there are many), the drinking water in Mexico is so unreliable that people drink bottled products. Coca Cola will only provide their refrigerators to shops that stock solely their products. In the poorest areas, many areas, the only way the shop keepers can have a fridge is if it is supied by Coke. Contributing hugely to massive obesity rates in Mexico.

Our quantities of different types of food were quite Chinese I think. Though our jarred stuff would be different.

I didn't really relate to the British one interestingly. I couldn't see any processed meat in it?

Think a mix of Canada and France, but with more water as we can't drink the tapwater here.

O and masses of diet coke for DH but I rarely used to drink it and haven't had any since I became pregnant as all drinks with sweetner in them taste horrible! I have the occasional ginger ale or sevenup or I make my own iced tea.

Hmm, 2nd look - maybe more like Canada, but not quite as much.

The drinks are odd aren't they? There is so much for the German family!

We wouldn't buy any drinks except milk and dairy free milk in our weekly shop.

Ours is a cross between Italy, France & India.

That's horrendous about the Coke in Mexico! I thought it looked rather at odds with the otherwise largely healthy selection. I don't drink Coke on the principle that they are an evil multinational company. And, wine is better!

It's a bit like the Gillian McKeith show with the table of doom showing lots of unhealthy food and then the healthy table after. I do like the look of the tables with all the fruit, veg, bread and fish- really appetising.

It is amazing how much packaged and processed food people buy. And we buy very little in the way of drinks compared to a lot of those families.

We are quite Turkish. No soft drinks here, I barely buy fruit juice, just milk, tea and coffee. I also try not to buy things I can make myself like sauces, bakery, yoghurt, bread, soup and so on. We do eat loads of eggs and frozen fish.
