I have come to the conclusion that I am the luckiest person in the world - I am healthy, fit and not obese, have a good education, a nice job, 2 well behaved, kind, clever, healthy daughters , a lovely husband and a well trained dog who does not jump up on people or bark incessantly.

these things just "happen" on mumsnet - they are a combination of genetics and luck..... I have obviously NEVER put ANY work into ANY of the above.... I am lucky......

well, I'm taking responsibility for my lucky-ducky-self and refusing to tie myself in knots over it any more.... there I go again.... preventing an ulcer.... or is it pure luck that I don't have one......

bye bye, thank you all for letting me know that I've wasted my life away trying so hard to get things the way I want them - my world would have been the same if I had done NOTHING..... since I am lucky you know.....

ReggieJones · 12/06/2014 21:32

oops I meant block, its been very traumatic

SilverSixpence · 12/06/2014 21:34

I cannot believe you were reported for singing! And the OP is ridiculous for flouncing over something so minor.

Fear not I've turned to Simon and Garfunkal for inspiration

Cecilia, you're breaking my heart
You're shaking my confidence daily
Oh, Cecilia, I'm down on my knees
I'm begging you please to come home

I have no idea of the background to this, but just had to post to say that you are entirely wrong if you believe that good health is all of your own making.

People who look after themselves very well get ill and die all the fucking time. You must be living in a cave if you didn't know that it happens And you are incredibly LUCKY that it's never happened to someone you love.

I don't normally get upset by MN posts but this one really has offended me.

Despite how cross your post has made me, I sincerely hope you don't ever have to find out first-hand how much of a role luck plays in good health and longevity.

Goodbye, you self-absorbed buffoon.

ReggieJones · 12/06/2014 21:37

ooo will I go over to that AIBU place and do some singing there? Do you think it will go down alright?

VSeth · 12/06/2014 21:38

Love your work!

Wolfiefan · 12/06/2014 21:38

For some weird reason I now have the lyrics of tubthumping by chumbawumba running through my head!!!

Goodbye my buffoon (I know you're gone, you said you're gone,
but I can still feel you here)
It's not the end (gotta keep it strong before the pain
turns into fear)

BoffinMum · 12/06/2014 21:40

Glitter and be gaaaaay
That's the part I plaaaaay
Here I stand on gilded staaaage
Born for greater thiiiiings
Here I spread my wings

Oh Reggie I think you're fabulous. You've cheered me right up.

Flouncer - can you hear me? (To tune of Papa Can You Hear Me)

The thing is Flouncer, it's right and normal to be proud of your accomplishments and the things you've worked hard for. But you have to confine your opinions and judgements for your own life and your own circumstances.

And really, everyone is fighting their own fight. In the midst of their own pain, you just have to graciously accept, that they might not want to listen to how wonderful your life is and if their's isn't, well, they should work as hard as you do.

ReggieJones · 12/06/2014 21:48

Oh Boffin that's beautiful its brought a tear to my eye it really has.

And I've only gone and done it. I sang a song by the coasters on a thread about blenders.

If Kate e-mails me again with the complaints from the Towers though, I'll be blaming you Usual and Cococnut

Dude, this is so not flounce worthy. You were insensitive and offensive. Apologize, move on...baptism by fire...it's happened to us all Smile. One of the best things about MN is the fact that it will massively expand your world view.

mrstigs · 12/06/2014 21:50

Reggie your singing really did make me Smile . When I first read this thread and saw your first post I thought it was as creepy as hell but now I get the song reference. (No I didn't report you btw). I'm sure the OP appreciated being serenaded out of the building.

Wadingthroughsoup · 12/06/2014 21:50

I'm LOVING the singing.
