Absolutely not. I went to see the third one and thought it was awful.

I'm going to see it next Friday. I think it will be great. It is based on Helen Fielding's book, whereas Bridget Jones's Baby was just a film.

Anyway, I'm excited to be going to see it. It's probably the first night out I'll have this year.

I’ll see it but having seen the billboard for the film on numerous buses this week I’m a bit worried they’ve blanded out the Roxster character and, in these slightly puritanical and woke times, toned down the sexual attraction between him and the (much older) Bridget.

100%. The last film was shite but it wasn't based on a Bridget book, it was a filler. The book this is based on is Fielding's best imo, and I am really looking forward to seeing the film.

I don't think so. I loved the first one when it came out but since then came to think it was trite formulaic rubbish. I'm 52 now and think I have grown up- but BJ hasn't.
