The worst movie you have ever seen in the Cinema

What is the worst film / most crappiest experience you've ever had in a cinema ?

I'll start. I remember watching the zodiac. I was immature and didn't really understand it-- but it was the most boring film I've ever seen in the cinema.

A few years later I watched Never Let me go. The atmosphere at the end was highly depressive

Hereditary. Probably the most over rated 'horror' movie ever. Like watching paint dry 🥱

The Vanishing.

Quite a long time ago now - probably late 90s, and I remember going to the cinema and we couldn’t decide what to see as the film we’d gone for had sold out. This was in the days before booking online was commonplace.

Don’t remember much about the film except it was 2+ hours of tedious cobblers and at the end someone (hopefully it was the director) got buried alive.

The Original Dutch film was brilliant. The American remake a steaming pile of bull shit

Troy with Brad Pitt, he must have needed the cash!

Nitgel · 13/10/2022 22:41

I have just got back and will nominate Amsterdam

Chillywilly93 · 13/10/2022 22:49

I saw the first Suicide Squad movie in the cinema and couldn't believe how much of a mess it was. The one from last year was great though

I toyed with going to see Amsterdam after the trailer looked OK but decided to swerve it and see Don't Worry Darling instead, which was pure unmitigated, cringe-inducing shite apart from Florence Pugh.

Clearly there were never going to be any winners on that cinema trip 😂

Nitgel · 13/10/2022 23:08

There were 4 of us in the cinema and one bloke was on the phone for the last 20 minutes and we didn't care. Grin

JohnsShirt · 13/10/2022 23:51

I'm seeing Amsterdam on Monday so we'll see.
I tend to like shit films though so I'm not too worried!

All Norman Wisdom films.
Saw them a few years ago. We had a 'festival' to try and promote a local Community Arts centre for everyone. I had to be there because I volunteered to help with the films.
Nearly put me off volunteering.

Lots of the rings. This woman looked at me in disgust when it finished and I said to my then boyfriend how boring it was 😂

The one where George Clooney is in space

Rise of the silver surfer. Worse than those Spiderman cartoons I used to watch on Saturday mornings as a nipper, when they blatantly used the same cuts over and over again.

Ninth Gate. Sat through it waiting for fucking ages for the storyline to start. Then it ended. It was so rubbish that I actually felt cross with it.

Tenet. Omg, just horrific. And years ago, The Player.

My mum walked out of my beautiful laundrette. Couldn’t stand the father character

For some bizarre reason, Hocus Pocus the original movie, was on at the Odeon this week. My adult daughter suggested we go and see it. Two hours of my life I'll never get back. So weird and disturbing, but not in a horror movie kind of way.

That’s it! I sentence you to death via firing squad

Down With Love. Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor - surely a no-brainer? Awful, awful, awful!

Monoprix · 28/10/2022 08:50

Born on the 4th of July. Well it wasn’t in the cinema but watched it a couple of years ago on Amazon. When he (Tom Cruise) started getting very upset about his useless willy, I just switched it off and had a cup of tea.

Sitdowncupoftea · 01/12/2022 12:54

Mary Poppins with Emily Blunt. Boring depressing and kids bored stupid watching it. We almost left early.

Goinggoinggone1 · 06/12/2022 01:06

You don't mess with the Zohan - an Adam Sandler (non) comedy. Just awful.

Lego Batman movie - pretty sure I fell asleep and DC didn't enjoy it either.

Murder on the Orient Express - utterly boring film. DH and I both fell asleep watching this one!

Yes !
I love Adam Sandler but I could not see the appeal or humour here

Meeting Joe Black and a zombie film that I can’t remember.

with meeting Joe black I remember he got killed pretty early on and that was the most exciting thing that happened

I remember getting out of the cinema and looking at my boyfriend and we both shook our heads in confusion over the waste of time
