What is the worst film / most crappiest experience you've ever had in a cinema ?

I'll start. I remember watching the zodiac. I was immature and didn't really understand it-- but it was the most boring film I've ever seen in the cinema.

A few years later I watched Never Let me go. The atmosphere at the end was highly depressive

Absolutely Fabulous- I walked out.

And Fifty Shades of Grey- but I got drunk and laughed at that one instead.

MsTSwift · 07/01/2022 18:30

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - lots of middle aged men in dark rain coats whispering. I felt like crying with boredom.

The Royal Tenaumbaums “ooh aren’t we quirky” no just bloody annoying

Corn brothers films the one with a man with an awful haircut going round killing people with a fire extinguisher. The Corn brothers obviously think a lot of themselves - emperors new clothes imo.

Feel better for that rant!

Exodus: Gods and Kings

Just awful. By ten minutes in I was laughing hysterically at how bad it was. Then I started composing satirical songs to go with it in my head to keep me amused. We left by the fifteen minute mark.

The Aviator

JackieQueen · 07/01/2022 18:32

Cloverfield. Had to leave as we were feeling sick!Confused

Paw Patrol: The Movie - if I wasn't having to keep an eye on DS (3) I'd have had a good nap as it's was a recliner cinema Angry

ToastCrumbsOnAPlate · 07/01/2022 18:32

Pride and prejudice and zombies.

Echobelly · 07/01/2022 18:32

Van Helsing: admittedly my mum and I went to see it knowing it wa utter, utter tosh but also that it had lots of Hugh Jackman with his shirt off, which partly made up for being total bobbins. Grin

Usernameisgone · 07/01/2022 18:33

San Andreas absolutely awful movie left after half hour

I didn't mind that one.

A couple of weeks after seeing Paw Patrol I went to see The Suicide Squad. It was like they gave a particularly immature 12 year old a video camera and several million dollars. I felt sullied by it.

SortMyHouse · 07/01/2022 18:35

Blair witch project
Boring I wanted to cry

RobinsEggBlue · 07/01/2022 18:35

Pride and Prejudice film- awful awful awful

weleasewoderick23 · 07/01/2022 18:36

Lord of the rings. I don't get the love but the dc wanted to see it. That's a few hours of my life I won't get back!

AnnaSW1 · 07/01/2022 18:36

Dude where's my car

mafted · 07/01/2022 18:36

Teen Titans was pretty unbearable but obviously wasn't my choice to go.

When I was a tween my friend's family took me to watch a Star Trek film. I had never watched any of the others or the TV programme and found it incredibly dull and fell asleep. My friend didn't speak to me for about a month.

Dark City was terrible. I went on a date and we walked out.

Mama Mia was awful. I went with MIL and my SILs who'd already seen it twice, I pretended I enjoyed it.

dickyduckydido · 07/01/2022 18:36

The Cell - can't even remember what it was about as I've tried to block it our!

SpookyMargot · 07/01/2022 18:37

Robin Hood with Russell Crowe. Utter shite.

pixietinkdust · 07/01/2022 18:37

Cloverfield - the one filmed predominantly on a handheld video camera. It was so pointless I gave up even attempting to understand wtf was going on!

Soubriquet · 07/01/2022 18:37

Kinky boots…

My very first proper date that I had with my boyfriend. My parents were also sat there watching it a few rows down Blush

Did not enjoy the film at all

AnnaSW1 · 07/01/2022 18:37

I didn't mind the paw patrol movie either!

Alonelonelylonersbadidea · 07/01/2022 18:38

Total Recall. The original.

I actually felt aggressive during it as it was so shite.

Also Shark Tale. I'm still trying to forgive the kids for making me sit through that mince. Though I did get some sleep.

Shouldbedoing · 07/01/2022 18:38

Jabberwocky

Cameron2012 · 07/01/2022 18:38

Once upon a time in Hollywood.
Walked out, it was all style and no substance.

StCharlotte · 07/01/2022 18:38

The first Star Trek film back in the late 70s or early 80s. I only went because a load of us were going and I didn't want to miss out. I didn't even like the TV series (apart from The Trouble with Tribbles obviously).

Bluebluemoon · 07/01/2022 18:39

Fifty shades of grey - I was cringing so bad.

Early man (by the Wallace and gromit creators) is another one that comes to mind - I was huffing and puffing and couldn't wait for it to end - it felt torturous. the kids thought it was rubbish too.
