The worst movie you have ever seen in the Cinema

What is the worst film / most crappiest experience you've ever had in a cinema ?

I'll start. I remember watching the zodiac. I was immature and didn't really understand it-- but it was the most boring film I've ever seen in the cinema.

A few years later I watched Never Let me go. The atmosphere at the end was highly depressive

Can't even remember the name but it involved Wesley Snipes parachuting out of planes or something. I can't stand action films but was outvoted (at least it was next door to the ice rink so I got a good skate in).

Second worst was Independence Day, which was a first date. I didn't fancy the guy that much, but snogging him was a much better option than watching the film.

(All the same, there was no second date Grin).

I always fucking regret clicking on these threads. "Life's rich tapestry" and all that jazz, but honestly . . . 🙄

'Corn brothers films the one with a man with an awful haircut going round killing people with a fire extinguisher. The Corn brothers obviously think a lot of themselves - emperors new clothes imo.'

It's, er, not a fire extinguisher. It's a cattle stunner.

It's Coen brothers. Not 'Corn'.

EwwSprouts · 07/01/2022 18:40

Dick Tracey - walked out.

Bluebluemoon · 07/01/2022 18:40

Corn brothers! 😂

Soubriquet · 07/01/2022 18:40

Alright judgy pants. Did you not think that autocorrect might have kicked in there too @LetHimHaveIt

canary1 · 07/01/2022 18:41

Lincoln- so dull. Many would have been ok at home but to have gone to the effort of getting a babysitter and going out to cinema!

PragmaticWench · 07/01/2022 18:41

Hot Shots Part Deux. In french.

ShowOfHands · 07/01/2022 18:42

Mars Attacks was diabolical. I fell asleep. Which happens a lot tbh. Comfy seats, dark room, warm. I've slept through many films. But with Mars Attacks, it was a choice

Friolero · 07/01/2022 18:42

I hated La La Land.

Mylittlepixie · 07/01/2022 18:42

Second avengers movie. I fell asleep to the first one at home so when the second one came out DH treated me to the full 4D cinemal experience. I fell asleep on a moving seat. DH woke me 3x and then gave up. Money well spent!

MalteserGeezee · 07/01/2022 18:42

Vanilla Sky. All a dream? We got told not to use that as a story ending aged about 7, how it's acceptable for an actual Hollywood movie, I don't know.

Cloud Atlas -- bizarre, weird acting, not even living legend Tom Hanks could rescue that one.

CatherineCawood · 07/01/2022 18:42

Time Cop with Sylvester Stallone. Utter bollocks.

DisforDarkChocolate · 07/01/2022 18:42

Our son made us leave Bee Movie. I don't think I've left one before or since.

ET, I fell asleep it was so dull.

crossstitchingnana · 07/01/2022 18:43

Dune and The Greatest Showman.

LetHimHaveIt · 07/01/2022 18:43

It's Correcty Pants to you.

No, I didn't; it doesn't on mine. And I'd imagine it's even rarer when one shifts to use a capital. Twice.

Clymene · 07/01/2022 18:44

Jude. Utterly, unremittingly miserable.

(Although the book's not very cheery so I don't know what I was expecting)

Talipesmum · 07/01/2022 18:45

Shallow Hal, and Prêt-à-Porter. Shallow Hal was so awful - I was agog at how, despite the “message” being that size didn’t matter, in reality the entire film was mocking fat people. And pret a Porter - just the dullest thing I’d ever seen.

mumofsennimaul · 07/01/2022 18:46

Holmes and Watson - walked out

CrazySnakeWoman · 07/01/2022 18:46

That Eternal Spotless Sunshine Mind film (can’t even conjure up the name properly…it was that bad).

It was just an incomprehensible pile of shite. And it felt SO long. I hate Jim Carey, so it was always going to be a mistake. Can’t believe it was so widely acclaimed at the time. Awful.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 07/01/2022 18:46

Broke back Mountain

DisforDarkChocolate · 07/01/2022 18:46

I'm with you about Shallow Hal @Talipesmum, plus Jack Black is my least favourite actor. He only plays Jack Black.

BellaChagall · 07/01/2022 18:47

The Revenant. Hours and hours of Leo Di Caprio grunting.

Eat, Pray, love. Utter shite.

BellaChagall · 07/01/2022 18:47

Oh and Cats. Bloody creepy cats everywhere. Grim.

Brideshead64 · 07/01/2022 18:49

All 27 Marvel movies, including the ones I haven’t seen.

Puffalicious · 07/01/2022 18:49

Delicatessen. Only film I've ever left part-way through. Love my foreign/ artsy films but this was so boring and up its own arse. I've seen many really shit films (Micky Blue Eyes anyone?) and just boring (The Irishman/ Remains of the Day) but never walked out of any others. Delicatessen was pre-kids so I probably didn't need the sleep: after kids I did!
