Last night I snuggled down in clean PJs with popcorn and wine to watch the much-hyped "Girl on a Train". I noticed it was on Amazon Prime yesterday morning as was looking forward all day to watching it.

Well, what a completely bloody waste of time that was.

It was absolute horse shit and I genuinely went to bed feeling a bit deflated.

What disappointing films have you seen that you wish you hadn't bothered with?

La La Land

A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) is the worst film I have ever seen at the cinema. Someone did the Dom Joly thing with his phone about half way through and someone else yelled 'Is this fucking film ever going to end!' Nobody got annoyed or shushed them, just laughed at the distraction from the pile of shite on the screen.

AI made me cry nearly all the way through I will NEVER watch that damn film again! Wtf

Dunkirk was dire IMO and I usually love historical films.

Couldn't work out what was happening, no character names to relate to. Came across to us as pretentious rubbish.

Could have been SOOO good bearing in mind the detail they had to work with. No doubt it will be up for and win numerous Oscars though. 🙄

Phantom of the fucking Opera was HEINOUS and I watch any old shit.

Gosh is forgotten they even did Phantom as a film.. I've obviously blocked it from my mind it was that bad!

We watched Life the other day.
Rubbish. From the grinning Russian woman to Jake G's sad eyes.
Total crap.

The Revenant was dire.

I know each to his own and all that but I have to take issue with the PP who criticised Postcards from the Edge. I love that movie. I have copies of that, Beaches and Circle of Friends in our holiday home and they make the perfect 'rainy afternoon in front of the fire' entertainment.

I walked out of About Shmidt - the only film I've ever walked out on. Also hated the revanant. I appreciated it as a fun but lord was it long!!

Watched one called the hangman the other night. God it was shite

My biggest disappointment was bloody Independence Day 2, I really enjoyed the first one (well I was a lot younger!) and was looking forward to the 2nd one but OMG, wtf? They absolutely lost the plot! It just didn't reasonate - they may as well have not fucking bothered at all, what a total waste of about 2 hrs of my life watching that utter shite -well I probably wasn't actually watching it, I ended up on my phone for most of it!

Movie 43 - looked at who was in it, thought it would be good. It wasn't.

I watched "Bad Moms" on a plane last year. I knew it would be trashy but thought it would be a bit like Bridesmaids which I quite enjoyed. But it was dire.

I sat through 15 minutes of Mamma Mia and then had to turn it off. It was atrocious. Meryl, what were you thinking???

all varying shades of shit, but not really surprised.

The Revenant, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Brooklyn, You Before Me, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Clueless, Lost in Translation, Wreck It Ralph, Sophie's Choice, Its a Wonderful Life, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Birdcage ... films I think I'm supposed to like but, really, really don't. Mostly tedious, over hyped, underwhelming shite.
