Last night I snuggled down in clean PJs with popcorn and wine to watch the much-hyped "Girl on a Train". I noticed it was on Amazon Prime yesterday morning as was looking forward all day to watching it.

Well, what a completely bloody waste of time that was.

It was absolute horse shit and I genuinely went to bed feeling a bit deflated.

What disappointing films have you seen that you wish you hadn't bothered with?

I like to have something on in background while I do my puzzles and for some reason I've chosen Mamma Mia. God it's awful, I've never seen the stage production but I would, it clearly doesn't translate well into the screen though

Ooooo into the woods as well. Did like it...Ish but it never seemed to end! Halfway through was good then as it kept going less so

Breakfast at Tiffany's (not awful, but nothing like how I'd imagined it).

God yes moonlight. So dull and overrated. Loved la la land though

High-rise, bloody pretentious rubbish and The Witch, so depressing

Oh god, I forgot 'Vanilla Sky' - Jesus fuck, what a pile of shit that was.

'Under The Skin' was weird and unwatchable, plus the soundtrack was DIRE. I've never found Scarlett Johansson to be a very engaging actress anyway, but the whole thing was odd and it really did feel like a waste of time watching it.

The original version of Vanilla Sky was very good though. I thought so, anyway.

Well. I finally watched The Girl On The Train. Yep, I feel like I've wasted a few hours (but glad for the warning, so I've only been half watching). As you've all said, there were no likeable characters, so you don't really care.

I wanted to like it as I do like Lynch, but it was too much of a struggle to work out what was going on!! If anyone can explain it to me I would appreciate it.

We started watching The Babadook. Had to turn it off. I'm a complete wimp who's scared by everything and even I was bored.

I'm ill so stick in bed with Netflix. I've just watched What to Expect when you're Expecting. Horrible, patronising, predictable rubbish.

Don't watch something on Netflix called Okje. I love Asian things and this was a bit weird even for me. I fell asleep on it though, so if you have insomnia, maybe it might be good.

Yep, too late. Okja was really odd. And I like Asian films too, and weird films, but it was just a bit...pointless.

I remember going to see 'youth in revolt' in the pictures and wanting to cry with boredom, not actually sure what even happens in that film I just switched off.

Mother's Day is also pretty shite

We v rarely go to the cinema as a couple. Wished I had stayed at home and watched paint dry.

DP was really looking forward to Dunkirk. He thought it was merely ok. Not up to the hype at all.
