It's an interesting conversation

www.tiktok.com/@meetthealis/video/7503903907920317718. Is this unfeminist to feel like this or do they have a point?

😂 Making safe spaces for women is not oppressive. Are you insane.
It's a safe space

Forcing women to use them isn’t safety. It’s oppression.

Saying 'it's not' is not the same as providing evidence that miniskirts were invented and promoted by paedophiles. So until you provide such evidence, I'm calling BS.

Grown women are wearing the clothes they want to wear because they want to wear them.

Because theyve been brainwashed to.

You sound like the worst kind of woman hating man.

I'm a woman. You do know a lot of women even feminists would actually agree with me and would be disgusted by how we have managed to create debauched society full of objectification.
Ironically this brings me to another problem
So would most women who are on the Frontline.
Women that actually work with victims of sex based crimes because they see the damage that many of you actually dont. Because you aren't on the Frontline.
Maybe we should gatekeep the word feminism that you need to work with victims of sex based crimes and violence....

Plenty of us are in the frontlines in various forms. Too many of us are or were in the frontlines as victims. Get over yourself.

Because I might like to spend time with men? As in, interact with them in a non-sexual way? Or even in a flirtatious, sexual way if I so choose?

Why do you want to put women in boxes? Why do you want to oppress women but allow men complete freedom to do what they want?

You can spend time with men.
You have a family? Dads, brothers, cousins etc.
As I said though some things will be forced others will be optional.

Why not just teach boys and men to behave decently. Seems a lot simpler.

they have gender segregation in some countries. The Taleban are doing a stellar job of it in Afghanistan, for example. Seems a wonderful way for women to live. So safe.

my experience w gender segregation is it just makes men more out of control because they don’t learn how to behave around women. And that behaviour then leads to the false conclusion that more gender segregation is needed. And so the viscous cycle ensues.

This is why you don't segregate genders in everything.
As I said some segregation should be forced like schooling, others should be optional

Laws on murder and theft apply equally to men and women. Your modesty laws would only apply to women. How are you so limited that you cannot see this?

No modesty laws should affect both.
Unfortunately it's not mens fault that women tend to objectify themselves far more than men.
But yes laws will apply to men also

Another genuine question for you OP - do you really hold men in such low esteem that you don’t think they can learn to control themselves not to assault women? Regardless of what women wear? Do you think men are inferior human beings who can’t discern right from wrong?

Another genuine question for you OP - do you really hold men in such low esteem that you don’t think they can learn to control themselves not to assault women?

Some definitely can. But we also need to make things easier for them.
We encourage men not to objectfy women but we are happy for women to objectfy themselves. We tell them don't oversexualize us whilst we do it.

The answer to your dilemma is to move somewhere less liberal rather than attempt to control others. No one particularly cares about your demented ideas and you're certainly not going to change anything.

Move somewhere where you are controlled and where you are separated from men. You won't be safer and you'll have a lot fewer rights but apparently that is the society you wish to live in.

Fitasafiddle1 · 09/06/2025 05:17

Op I have a question - because your posts sound so wooden and cold, have you been put up to this? Is there a movement in the U.K. planning to ‘cover up’ women - I don’t get the feeling you are s lone voice here. You seem to have practiced answers, even if you are just repeating them.

I can’t believe you listed Qatar as a safe place! I have lived there and it’s one of the most genuinely terrifying places I have ever been. It is a police state, heavily so, and oppressive. Everyone is scared not just the women. Women do not have a voice at all in Qatar?. Are you seriously suggesting you want to turn the U.K. into Qatar???

Why don’t you just move to one of those places and be happy without the worry of a ‘debauched’ society out of interest?

MiloMinderbinder925 · 09/06/2025 05:29

Incels have these very rigid, very misogynist views. The TikTok videos have been going for a long time. Some loser keeps spying on women and posting videos of them where they're used to criticise the West and Western women.

The OP also seems fundamentalist, recommending authoritarian regimes where women are in open air prisons. I'm guessing this is a basement dweller.

Okay I am checking out of this thread. I thought you wanted a discussion, but you don’t.

Thankfully, your chances of convincing anyone in this country that your new modesty laws will work are zero.

We live in a free and fair country, I would look to move to Qatar and see how you get on there my friend!! I couldn’t leave fast enough, personally, so I am sure it will suit you perfectly.

The countries I named fewer rights to do damaging unhealthy things but safer in general. I know which one I'll take.

So misogyny, sexism and the gender pay gap don't exist? There's no patriachy either?

You are looking to imprison women - and then the next second you are going on about the pay gap. You really are wasting everyone’s time. I am out.

So if we live in a free and fair society then misogyny, sexism and patriachy must not exist.
And btw the laws I am proposing is for both genders.

But you don't want a free and fair society, you want to control women and restrict who they associate with and what they wear. Your views are very regressive.

Progress would be to challenge the patriarchy not capitulate to it.

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 09/06/2025 07:20

OP, your posts are full of nasty, misogynistic victim blaming. Your argument appears to be that women will only be safe if we curtail their freedom. Maybe look at what is happening to women in Afghanistan to see how that logic is playing out for them.

Your thinking is incredibly warped. It's sad to see someone who has absorbed and internalised so much misogyny.

I will answer this because some of us work for a living, and I am finding your grinding regressive posts incredibly boring and narrow, lacking in any intellectual substance or fact.

The UK is a fair and free country due mainly to its world class justice system that has been replicated all over the world.

We have literally thousands of laws that aim to deliver equality and protection. There are many more coming. We are refining I would say at this point.

In the ‘safe’ countries you have listed, you know as well as I do that they are run by a cabal of men, there to ensure dominance, resources, priority will always be men. The legal systems are a sham, and women do not even have the most basic elements of protection. This is not safer for women, it is just a veneer, as everyone lives in fear. In Qatar this is extremely noticeable and palpable.

Women are subjected to a vast spectrum of humiliations, one of those is being forced to wear certain things - or not wear certain things - like children. They are forced into complying with rules and regulations they did not agree to. Hidden and shrouded away from society like vermin, they are voiceless and subjected to the kind of violence I am unable to post on here.

I saw them forced to walk four paces behind their sons and husbands. Berated publicly and violently, and wearing full veils in 48c heat. Even their eyes were covered.

They are not allowed to leave without a male guardian to even take a walk. They are largely left uneducated, and unable to do any meaningful work outside of the home. These women are not celebrated - they are treated like cattle. In some cases worse than cattle.

They are all imprisoned - the whole country is an open air prison. It is barbaric, medieval and terrifying to observe.

I will never accept your mindset, I will never understand how you can live like this. This will never happen in our beautiful country. Never. So please save your breath, and organise a future elsewhere, and be content with a society that matches your cult like ideals - clearly a master stroke brainwashing/conditioning has taken place at some point in your life sadly for you, and you have lost all sense of what is important.

Men have a choice about how they respond to women. Therefore they are responsible for what they do. Why do you want to punish women for the bad choices men make?

Look up 'internalised misogyny'. It describes you well.
