Thanks to ToccataAndFudge for the name

Right, so this is where those of us with depression can write our lists of daily achievements!

...hopefully tomorrow's list will be better than today's...

hello claire
glad you've got a supportive DH. I'm very lucky, I've been with DH 7.5yrs now, since I was 16. I was at my lowest point then, not looking for a relationship, but there he was, a nurse in the hospital I was staying in!
unfortunately my parents seem to think as I've got DH they don't have to bother. (feeling a tad grumpy after they were here on sun)

anyway, got a few houseworky bits done over the weekend, despite feeling crap. today is one of those days where you wake up thinking uuurrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhh. normally go to a library song time on tues a.m. but just too tired, and I'm seeing my friends on thurs anyway.

going to try and plough through my online/phone to-do list, it's been taunting me for ages getting ever longer!

what's the best way for people to join the FB group, should we post a link here?

What is the FB group? CAn I join?

JollyPirate · 06/04/2010 08:55

I have just replied to your FB post T+C. We are off to the Natural History Museum today at some point but hope you and the boys have a great time when you go. Am sure there must be someone who is up for the trip on Thursday though.

I am a bit better - every day is different. Sometimes I sail through the day and sometimes I don't. Having a diagnosis of ASD for DS two weeks ago sent me downwards but am adjusting a bit now.

don't know if that'll work

ToccataAndFudge · 06/04/2010 09:04

just seen that post JP.

Hope I find someone, really want to take them, but not on my own

BeckyBendyLegs · 06/04/2010 09:12

I've sent a request to join the group, I hope that is ok. I think someone has to accept me in! My initials are RC and my pic is DS3 with chicken pox and me behind the spotty boy.

JollyPirate · 06/04/2010 09:38

I've just sent a request to join too. I hope we can support each other through the bad days.

BeckyBendyLegs · 06/04/2010 09:40

I'm in the group! What a great idea. It's nice to put faces to MN names too.

LittleMarshmallow · 06/04/2010 09:56

I sent a request I think last night to join the group. You are right Becky it is nice to put faces to names

allegrageller · 06/04/2010 11:16

ooh I missed a flurry of posts yesterday.

Hi claire and zonedout! (Sorry if I've missed anyone else new. Concentration is shit today, I'm struggling even to read MN posts....)

I'm really deep down in the pit today. Can't even cry, just feel deep down rotten and guilty for everything. So horrible.

Tocc and zoned out I am in London and very much up for any meetups! I will even drag myself out of the house for you lot, how's that for dedication ;)

will now join FB group....xxx

allegrageller · 06/04/2010 11:18

Tocc if it's this Thursday you're coming down e.g. 2 days time I'm still in Sheffield, but coming back Apr 11 if you're planning future trips

allegrageller · 06/04/2010 11:20

can't find the FB group, I just get a list of all the groups coming up. What's the name? or LM/Tocc could you send me an invite? Sorry to be slow xxx

ToccataAndFudge · 06/04/2010 11:42

shitty shitty shitty morning

started okish

Then DS1 was silly, I told him off and then he pushed DS2 hard (again) and hurt him (again) and I totally lost it with him

Have just spent the last hour or so on the sofa meanwhile DS1 has stood himself up from where I made him sit in here (and managed to hurt him in the process) , loaded the dishwasher for me (including the stuff that was in here) and cleaned the table.

Told him that I'd been planning a surprise but that I was going to cancel it, and he's done all of that without a word.

And I've just had a phonecall from the council (I moved with the aid of the Rent Assistance Scheme) to say they're going to do the first inspection on Thusrday, and the house is a bloody mess

allegrageller · 06/04/2010 11:44

Ds1 sounds like he knows he did the wrong thing and he's responsible enough to try to make up to you for it. Think you handled it well tbh.

We all lose it believe me...

What do council come to inspect exactly?

ToccataAndFudge · 06/04/2010 11:47

They do the inspections instead of the letting agent because of being part of the rent assistance scheme.

BeckyBendyLegs · 06/04/2010 12:22

Toccata it does sound as if your DS1 knows. My DS1 would do that sort of thing, he loves 'helping' me.

I've just won £50 off a fitted carpet. Woohoo! We went to a toy library event this morning and there was a raffle.

I thought today was going to be hard as it is the first day of school hols without DH about but so far it is ok.

MathsMadMummy · 06/04/2010 12:34

Shock announcement from the MathsMad household!

I'm cooking lunch! Waffles, Ikea Meatballs, Baked Beans and Frozen Cauliflower... but still!!!

will be back to catch up later.

OP posts:
ToccataAndFudge · 06/04/2010 12:36

I should hope he does know.........he's 9 1/2

I need a break from them.

I love them to bits, but I have no-one to take them even for a couple of hours. XH told me nearly 2 weeks ago he'd have them for a couple of days this week (during the day - we're not doing overnights yet due to other factors)......but of course nothing has come of it.

I know I'm not the only single parent with a crap XP/H and no other support but I hate it right now.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 06/04/2010 12:41

Not much to report my end - will catch up on thread later, just popping my head around the door. House is a bomb site and I haven't the energy, appetite or motorvation (motivation?) to feed myself yet. Didn't make Church on Sunday either Just going to concentrate getting the boys not to nap so they will go to bed at 7, then blitz the house and try and get myself together to go out tomorrow to a farm or soft play. Not really taken the boys out anywhere together on my own, especially not an actual outing but hopefully if I take it in stages I will manage it.

MathsMadMummy · 06/04/2010 12:45

Also had to do 2 lots of meatballs (keep forgetting our microwave is so powerful!) - a few weeks ago that probably would've made me cry. progress.

allegrageller did my link above not work? it's further up on page 10

I have made it to my counselling session at uni and have eaten lunch

I have to drive back home for counselling session number two at the hospice. Then I need to go waste 3 hrs till my lodger is back as my parents are in my house and I don't want to have to deal with them

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 06/04/2010 12:54

Well done on your lunch MMM I threw together some cheese sandwiches, although to be fair we do need to do some shopping to make something more adventurous. Am so so grateful DH has a new job which means he is home to do dinner nowadays, come at the perfect time as I can feel myself getting a little 'worse' and am back at the stage where it just seems too big a mountain.

MathsMadMummy · 06/04/2010 12:58

food shopping is such a PITA with kids! we've agreed to do online shopping every week instead of every 2 weeks - kept running out of fresh fruit/veg and I've noticed that I feel a bit better when I have yummy fruit to snack on expensive tastes though - lychees are my favourite!

OP posts:
BeckyBendyLegs · 06/04/2010 14:05

Online shopping rocks. There's no way I could do the shopping and stay sane with three DSs!

CaroJo · 06/04/2010 14:32

Hello everyone,
can I still join in? Think this thread is a great idea and I've been looking for something like this for ages.
