Has anybody ever actually gone to A&E because they were suicidal or just not coping?

What do they do? Do they let you go? Do they involve SS?

hello there, are you still there? am sorry you don't know me, i just signed in now when i saw your messages and that no one else seems to be on now... are you still hanging on? please post if you still there, i am so worried about you...

livinginadreamworld · 09/08/2009 23:56

ABW, of course you have to hold on, and you know that! What are you doing now? You have said before things get easier later in the evening when you go to bed, can you do that now?

have been following your thead, and was worried about you tonight for some reason and nipped online to check!

trust me, you will not be on the edge forever, you will be able to step away, and you will feel better. One step at a time with the help of those on here and those in RL, you will get through this.

OP posts:
livinginadreamworld · 10/08/2009 00:11

if you feel really bad you MUST pick up the phone. if i understand correctly you dont have crisis numbers yet, but you can always ring samaritans, they are always there and are great when your feeling like this.

im sure you have the number anyway but:

have some very un mumsnetty {{{{hugs}}}}

i really hope you're feeling better soon, many of us have been where you are, believe me, one step at a time you WILL pull through!

AisieSusie · 10/08/2009 00:12

yay! you're here. oh good, was starting to panic a bit, thought by the time i'd worked out how to sign in i'd missed you, and you just sound so desperately in need of knowing that people are out there, and they do care, and i really hope you ok? well, thats a stupid word, i know you're not ok, but can you try and sleep now and get through the night at least? try and take it minute by minute, and feel really pleased that you got through the last few minutes, and congratulate self that you did get through those minutes? i know its not much, but i find it easier to look at time in small quantities, to avoid the 'will i feel like this forever' feeling, which is just overwhelming...

anyway, do you want to post me? or try and sleep? i can stay on for as long as you need...

please take care of yourself xxx

livinginadreamworld · 10/08/2009 00:13

have you started you AD's yet? its sccary to start, but you really will feel like you are doing something to make it better, you will see light at the end of the tunnel, and be feeling much better in a couple of weeks. If you are really worried about the AD's you have then PLEASE go back to the GP tomorrow, that is what they are there for.

livinginadreamworld · 10/08/2009 00:16

i must go now. I hope you get some sleep and i will check in in the morning. Feel proud that you got through this and are beginning to feel calmer, and keep going, one step, on minute at a time.

AisieSusie · 10/08/2009 00:17

hello there, oh i do really agree with you livinginadreamworld, ADs do really help, or at least they did for me and people I know that have taken them. The leaflet that comes with them is really scary, but they have to write all that, even if its so rare that anyone actually feels these effects, and never all of them in one go. for me, the benefits far outweighed the negatives, and it was only after a few weeks and when I started to feel better, that i realised quite how vulnerable and scared i had been before.

ABitWrong · 10/08/2009 00:18

I am on day 5 of ADs

I can't sleep yet

OP posts:
AisieSusie · 10/08/2009 00:20

oh hello there, glad to hear/see from you. I think I took mine for a few days more before i felt any effects, and i tink that was also the hardest thing for me, knowing i was taking something thats supposed to make me feel better, but not feeling it yet...
we can chat til you feel sleepy if you want? i can stay on for as long as you need...

ABitWrong · 10/08/2009 00:27

thanks

I don't know if they are making me worse, today was one of my worst ever

OP posts:
AisieSusie · 10/08/2009 00:31

i remember a doctor telling me that the first thing ADs do is give you a bit more energy, and then next they start to make you feel more human, so if you've got more energy, then you have more energy to feel awful, if you see what i mean?

thats the way i understood it anyway. please just try to hang on to the idea that you should feel better in just a few days, if you be really brave and hang in there...

how you feeling now? does it help to share how you feeling? or we can talk about something totally different if that helps too?

ABitWrong · 10/08/2009 00:36
