I've been off work nearly three months now and am just really fed up with myself now. i've refused any meds but I just cant get over it. I started my counselling last week, and am hopeful she can sort me out. it was caused by by son having an accident, and juggling work etc which just got too much and made me cry.
Id had a lot of panic attacks but they are getting better but now I just feel worried when i go out, and that i want to cry.
Today I just can't breathe. I don't know if i'm worse today because i'm due on too.
I just really feel i've lost my way and lost confidence in myself, and i dont know what to do to get myself back.
I'm all crabby and wound up with people too - no patience.
I think the doctor is fed up with me too and i'm also worried she won't keep giving me sick notes, i'm never usually ill.......

Hi Girls!

How are you all? Been a super weekend here! Weather has been brilliant! Got a bit burnt on friday so had factor 50 on the past 2 days, lol!

Went to tesco with my neighbour this morning and bough a 12ft swimming pool! Worst buy of the summer so far! lol! Was a total nightmare to get it filled and my garden has a slight slop so not sure its even going to work! Very annoying as it cost a bit of money! May try again tomorrow n see what happens!

Anyway, hope you are all well!

Speak soon x x x

mooseloose · 31/05/2009 22:18

we got big pool, and a slope too! I just try find the best bit!
Its one of those pools that you blow the top bit up, and then the water holds the rest up. Just means one side always higher than the other!

We went into BBQ overkill![we do live in the country so not bothering anyone]

Have now got lots to do re house and garden, washing etc and getting ready for a car boot sale!

moose ~ little ds worried about school last night"Miss shouts at everyone and gives me a headache!!"He's lucky ~ he's never been told off!

Finally made GP appt for my feet and tiredness but is not for 2 weeks yet!Typically,my feet aren't so bad[now I've made the appt] but I'd still better go.

Feeling happy atm hope you all doing well too!

mooseloose · 01/06/2009 18:23

two weeks is a ridiculous time to wait!!!

We still have the paddling poool out now. Full of grass, brown, with mozzies hanging over it!!! Will empty it when they are in bed!

YommyMommy · 01/06/2009 21:20

Hi Girls!

This weather is brilliant! Have been feeling very happy and relaxed this week too! Fingers crossed it lasts!

Moose, sounds like we have the same pool, lol! I emptied it all last night and moved it onto the drive way today and that seemed to be a little better, but can;t get it full because it just want to overflow when the water gets so high! We are taking it over to the neighbours tomorrow if its still nice, their garden is a little flatter so hoepfully the kids will have fun tomorrow! They enjoyed it today too!

Morning, I can;t believe you have to wait 2 weeks - thats shocking ! But atleast you have booked the appointment now!

Hope everyone else is well! Off to bed now - all this fresh air makes us so tired! lol!

Goodnight x x x

blissa · 01/06/2009 21:23

Hi girls, don't know about you but this weather is really helping to keep feeling me positive.

Can't believe the dcs went back today, where did half term go? A 12ft pool, my dcs would love that, yommy. I haven't replaced our old one but was sat in the garden yesterday and it suddenly dawned on me that they could use the empty sandpit as a pool! So we cleaned it up and filled it up using next doors hose, we have lovely neighbours. It's only about 3 ft square and took long enough to fill!

Glad you've got an appointment for your feet morning, though 2 weeks is a long time to wait. Hope your ds had a good first day back

Hope work goes well tomorrow moose

xx

morningsun · 01/06/2009 22:28

Thanks everyone but don't worry its only 2 weeks to get the Dr of my choice seeing as I've whinged to him before seen him previously

Today I've been so tired i could hardly get up the stairs ~ and we have a lot of stairs!
So I joined the slatterns thread to try and get a bit more done~ was quite good will do it again tomorrow.

YommyMommy · 02/06/2009 20:55

Anyway - I am going to join the kids in bed! Sooooo tired tonight! Back to nursery tomorrow for ds1. He is only in 2 days this week as the school building is used for polling on thurs! So only in tomorrow and friday! He has to go for his mmr booster on thurs so not looking forward to the tears

Goodnight x x x

mooseloose · 03/06/2009 14:57

work was hard going after a week off. Felt shaky and horrible inside.Thinking about food got me through it! Havemade myself start running again properly now - cos its a new month etc and panic over Great North Run mounting!

I went and did some gardening at school earelier but ds9 came to me crying. Says he has a headache- sure he didn't. But school rang and he is home now. He is so teary at the mo, so clingy, and cuddly. Nothing seems to cheer him. I do worry about him.

OP posts:
blissa · 03/06/2009 21:06

Your poor ds moose, hope he is feeling better now and gets a good nights sleep. Good on you doing the North Run! Have you done it before?

I should join the slatterns thread morning, my house is in such a state. Did a bit this aftrenoon while ds was at pre-school, but there is still so much left that needs doing, NEED motivation!

How different was todays weather? Yesterday we were sat in the park roasting and today I was in the park feezing, still managed to stay there for 3 hours after school though!

Feeling ok at the moment, can't believe I'm on rat poison count down, only 15 days left!

xx

mooseloose · 04/06/2009 22:28

15 days will fly Bliss - make a chart!

Work was ok today.ish. I hevent done the Great north before - but i did a half marathon in March, but been a bit (lot) lazy since then. My running buddy injured so have to go on my own.

Got chatting to another nice person at allotment today - everyone is just so nice and friendly!

Just watching Big brother - they are rather odd!

Dh got to go away to work in the summer - for 7 weeks -eeeeeeeeeeekkkkkk!

OP posts:
blissa · 05/06/2009 13:28

I know it will moose, bit scared!

What does your dh do? 7 weeks is a long time, is that over the school holiday?

Bloomin cold today. Have just been getting creative and made ds a reward chart- a picture of a train track leading from a dark tunnel to a nice sunny station, he gets to move the train along to the station if he's good, but it has to go back towards the station if he's not. I've got to try something, his behaviour really isn't good at the moment.

Hope you are all ok xx

mooseloose · 05/06/2009 21:47

That sounds nice. We used to have a book with a train on apiece of string that moved through the pages.

Was better again at work today. Still shaky, and 6 hours was a bit much. Am going to stick at that i think.

Dh works for a car company, and it is a promotion thing. he hasn't been away for over a year. Thing is cant turn the work down! He will hate being away from boys so long.

YommyMommy · 06/06/2009 08:46

Morning Girls,

How are you all? I am good apart form the constant worry that I am going to have a panic attack! I have an appointment for stepweel (stress management charity) who offer therapies including CBT in two weeks time. It can't come quick enough! Just want to get back on track again, but need the professional guidance! My dh still has another 2 weeks away from home! I am coping with the boys, house, etc fine! Its just if I have to go out on my own I really start to freak! I have been making myself go places though as don;t want to get stuck in the house!

Moose - thats a shame about your dh having to go away for 7 weeks! Thats a long time and especially if its right over the summer hols! How is your ds?

Blissa - I am sure you are going to be fine coming off your meds! And I hope the chart works for your ds!

What do you all have planned for the day? Not sure what we are doing yet! The weather was gorgeous when I got up this morning, but its getting more dull by the minute! lol!

Hope you all have a good day - whatever you are doing!

D x x x

blissa · 06/06/2009 19:24

It's good that you have an appointment yommy. I went through a stage of worrying about having a panic attack, it's enough to trigger one sometimes isn't it?

The chart is not going so well, ds has been particularly difficult today. Not doing as he's asked, hitting me, throwing things and spitting. He's really getting to me at the moment, I feel I'm really going wrong somewhere. There is a parents consultation meeting at his pre-school on Friday so I will see how he is there, but I know they will say he is good there. It's so frustrating because he knows how to behave, but is really pushing things at home.

Been a really miserable day here, has rained most of it. I took ds to the school summer fair and it was very chilly! The grils have gone to stay at my parents for the night, I'll pick them up tomorrow and have sunday lunch there, yummy

Hope everyone is ok xx

mooseloose · 06/06/2009 22:01

I agree worrying about a panic puts you more on edge. its very hard not to think about yourself and your vunerability all the time I think.

Has tiddled with rain all day today. I am a but huffy with my breathing too.

Bliss a reward chart has worked for my pesky 7 year old over the last two three years - comes out at intervals! We have beans in a jar that convert to sweets/pennies.

Yommy I havent heard of that charity- sounds very good. Sure it will help. 2 weeks waiting for dh if you are rattled. xx

OP posts:
mooseloose · 06/06/2009 22:02

yommy meant that two weeks is a long time to wait...

OP posts:
YommyMommy · 07/06/2009 20:50

Hi girls,

Stepwell is a local charity for my area! They are really busy, they offered me an appointment for this tues, but couldn;t take it due to the time so thats why the longer wait! I don;t mind too much though as I am just happy I am going to get some help - well I hope they can offer me help!

I have had a fairly good day today - had a minor freak whilst waiting in the queue at petrol station as they weren't serving quick enough, lol! Was okay though and went on to take kids to the beach for a few hours! Was good fun!

Blissa - sounds like you are having a really tough time with your ds? Any udeas why he is pushing you so much??? I hope he starts behaving for you soon - little monkey

Hope you are all ready for the week ahead! Only 3 more weeks until our summer hols begin .

Hope you are all well!

P.S. I agree that thinking about panic too much can bring one on! Its just hard to get it out of your head when you are thinkign about it unless you have distraction! I have found that when I am at the park alone I start talking to other mums just for distraction! lol! They probably think I am nuts! x x x

blissa · 08/06/2009 10:25

Morning girls

Didn't have a very good day yesterday, keep having horrible thoughts about something happening when I come off my tablets. Sounds silly but I was watching the Apprentice last night and when SrAlan said about next years series I thought to myself " I wonder if I'll be here to see it". I musn't think like that, need a slap!

Have no idea why ds is behaving this way yommy, he has always been quite challenging but he is really getting to me at the mo. The chart has worked a bit this weekend, I'll perservere with it.

Enjoying my peace this morning, have washed the floor and done some washing. That will do for today

Hope you all have a good day xx

YommyMommy · 08/06/2009 20:53

Hi Girls!

Blissa - I'm sure you will be fine when you come off the meds! The professionals will know whats best and I doubt they would put ur life at risk??? Only jokin! ! I hope it goes okay and try not to think about it too much til then! Easier said than done ! I hope ur ds starts behaving better soon!!!

I have had a really busy day today in the garden, cut the grass and dug up the middle of the drive way! It was full of weeds so going to buy some nice stones at the weekend ! I have hardly fet panicked all day today, think its because I have kept myself busy! Heres hoping for another good day tomorrow! Althoug I have to go to tesco so not sure it will all be plain sailing!

My ds1 missed nursey today as he was up half the night with a sore ear! ! He has been fine today though, so hoping for a better nights sleep tonight! lol!

Hope you have all had a good day x x x

morningsun · 10/06/2009 09:56

YommyMommy · 10/06/2009 10:17

Morning Girls!

Moring - thats wonderful about ur ds! I have ds sports day coming up, but had his parent evening last night and his teacher said that he is the one who decided if he is participating in certain things - just depends what sort of mood he is in! lol! But she did say he is a v. clever little boy

The nice weather is still around for us! Long may it last! Woo Hoo!

hope your all ok sorry im not up to date with you all

blissa · 11/06/2009 14:33

Hi girls,

Well done to your ds morning! I still have dd1s and ds sports day to look forward to. My sister has Hughes Syndrome and Lupus. She takes an aspirin a day for the Hughes. Someone posted a link all about it in general health and I made the mistake of reading- all about the worst case senario of Catasptrophic Clotting which can happen when coming off anticoags, so of course in my little head, that is what will happen to me! You're right, a little knowledge can be a bad thing. How are your feet?

I have ds's parent-teacher morning tomorrow yommy. I love hearing how they're getting on, and how they behave when mummy's not around

I hope you get the answers you're looking for Candy, it's good that they are doing some investigations. Great news about your appointment.

Hasn't rained here today yet, although the clouds are gathering... will probably wait til 3 o'clock, that's what usually happens. Took ds down to the station this morning to watch the trains, he loved it!
