I've been off work nearly three months now and am just really fed up with myself now. i've refused any meds but I just cant get over it. I started my counselling last week, and am hopeful she can sort me out. it was caused by by son having an accident, and juggling work etc which just got too much and made me cry.
Id had a lot of panic attacks but they are getting better but now I just feel worried when i go out, and that i want to cry.
Today I just can't breathe. I don't know if i'm worse today because i'm due on too.
I just really feel i've lost my way and lost confidence in myself, and i dont know what to do to get myself back.
I'm all crabby and wound up with people too - no patience.
I think the doctor is fed up with me too and i'm also worried she won't keep giving me sick notes, i'm never usually ill.......

everything went well at the fracture clinic yesterday and ds wasa fine and in only a little pain
he has gone back to school today
worrying if he wil be ok
little ds has had a temp and now has a little rash but is ok in him self so not too worried about that
im still in pain from this filling i had last week ,my face and eye down that side are all feeling very starnge since i had it done ,i thouight it was my mascara but no it must be all to do with this tooth
am going back to the dentist tomorrow as it needs to be sorted but im so scared
i have some diazepam so think i will have to take some
am scared they will want to remove it

mooseloose · 12/03/2009 20:01

Hi candy, i dont think the filing would make your face and eye feel like that? Do you think perhaps he pulled you about to do the muscle, and that is what hurts - facial muscles. If filling problem would that be toothache? i dont know really, but you need to go.

morningsun · 14/03/2009 11:00

candy hi sweetie hope you feel better soon
the abscess can cause a temp, shivers and sickness so if you feel any worse or not better today go to out of hours gp to add in other antibiotics as the dentist ones might not cover everything
also drink as much as you can some squash with sugarin and take paracetamols regularly
also keep cool and restxx

candyfluff · 14/03/2009 15:52

thanks
am scared i will end up at hospital

blissa · 14/03/2009 17:22

had an awful day yesterday ds (10) was sick all day ,did 7 loads of washing ,ds( 2) was unbearable -very demanding ,i just wanted to run away
dh was at work and didnt bother to phone me to see if we were alright and if we needed anything .
havnet been able to do any shopping so got hardly anything in ,
my face is still swollen and heavy ,not too much pain more uncomfortable iyswim, should the anti biotics of started working by now ?
2 days so far,i dont want to make a fuss.
am scared the other 2 kids will catch the bug too ,i dont know how much more i can cope with .

blissa · 16/03/2009 09:54

Hi candy how is your ds today?

I think the antib's should start to kick in around now, are you taking anything for the pain?

Could you do an internet order for your shopping? Not very helpful for today I know but you might be able to get a slot for tomorrow.

Hope today is a better day for you ((hug))
xx

morningsun · 16/03/2009 11:07

Hi candy hope you get some rest today
the antibiotics should work within 24hrs.
Your face might stay swollen for a few days but you shouldn't be getting high temperatures or shivers now,or increased swelling. If you are,get appt gp today for extra antibiotic to add in.
Hope you feel better soonxx

mooseloose · 16/03/2009 22:20

hi all, just checking in to say hello. Hvae been to docs today for another sick note. Got myself all in a state, but she was nice. I intend to go back after Easter. Doc says I need to chill over the summer and dont take anything else on! Just how long does it take to get better!
I will return on a phased basis. Scared really....

OP posts:
blissa · 18/03/2009 13:21

Hi all, hope everyone is ok today. How are you feeling today moose? Have you made any decisions about returning to work?

mooseloose · 18/03/2009 21:41

well i decided i should go back, and told doc one more month (counsellor says). so that will be what i will work to, phased, prob 3 hours day, three days.
Have felt horrid day (why now when i thought i was ok for work?!!!). spent all day outside, garden and walk etc, and still i want to cry. Whats it all about. To be honest I just cant see myself stuck inside 9-5 with how i am now. Doc was nice though, but i was in a state about going, so maybe the adrenaline working its way out again?
I only have one month sick pay on full pay left, then it will drop down to half. Perhaps I will be ok when i get there.....
Sorry to go on..

Hi girls how are you all?
moose hope you're having better day today.I know when i was bad each appt with the dr or counsellor brought things to the fore again and i would feel worse not better for a day or two. Also its as if you're so full of stress any extra small stress is too much~that is how i was anyway.
Its interesting you feel better outside isn't it!Hope you get chance to enjoy this weather

lolasmydog · 19/03/2009 12:06

Hi Everyone,
I'm I lurker who has decided to come out of the cupboard for the first time as i'm desperate.
Ive been suffering from anxiety for a year or two, it ebbs and flows with whats going on around me and I've had Beta Blockers to help- though they make me exhausted all the time.

It has now reached critical dimensions with a situation with our business and i've gone back to the doc who has prescribed Citalopram and referred me to the Mental Health unit to go on an Anxiety managament Course, the whole referal thing to the Mental Health unit has upped my anxiety no end as it seems quite radical, has anyone any experience of this?

blissa · 19/03/2009 14:01

Hi all, welcome to our 'club' lolasmydog

I have no experience with councelling or referals (am trying the DIY method of coping atm). Do you know how long you'll have to wait to see the Mental Health team?

Hope you're ok today moose, it sounds like a suck it and see situation iykwim, you might not know how you'll feel about going back to work until you're actually there?

I've not been feeling great these past couple of days, little pains in my chest, that I know are nothing but play on my mind. For some reason I keep replaying the situation in my mind and am concentrating a lot on how my chest feels. I'm so unfit as well so even going upstairs at the moment leaves me a bit breathless, which isn't nice. Must get myself out to more exercise. The weather is lovely at the moment and what am I doing? Sitting here with a cup of tea and a chunky Kit Kat. I need a big boot up the bum

xx

lolasmydog · 19/03/2009 14:15

Thanks for the welcome Blissa,

I have no idea how long I'll have to wait, thinking of going back to Doc tomorrow to ask all the questions that I've been conjuring up since yesterday!

Sorry to hear you're still under the weather (heaalthwise I mean!), get out and enjoy the sunshine and maybe it'll distract you.

blissa · 19/03/2009 14:27

That's probably a good idea, you think of loads of questions once you get back from seeing the dr don't you?! Maybe it would be a good idea to write them down?

I really should be outside going for a walk or something, but I have to do the school run in 20 mins. I haven't been sat in all day, I walked with dd2s school down to the church to watch their Mother's Day celebration which was lovely.

Have also fallen out with dp which doesn't help. His business went under a few weeks ago and I know he's under a lot of stress but he chooses not to talk to me about it.

mooseloose · 19/03/2009 18:19

hi girls, nice you are out of the cupboard lola. Feel free to join in and moan!
Blissa, there is nothing wrong with chunky kitkat! I had a double decker today!! Hhave you started your knitting yet like you said?Bet you haven't!! See,that will distract you! Have you properly fell out, or just a moan at each other?
Am ok/rubbishy today. Twinge of panic on way home from school.

morningsun · 19/03/2009 18:52

Hi girls
ds2 had good school report at parents night so why do i feel so flat??
talk some sense in to me girls before i start getting tizzy!!
and are any of you given levels like 2c 3a etc half way thru the year?[yr2]

blissa · 19/03/2009 21:11

Lol moose you're right I haven't started knitting. I did get a book from the library about card making though, it's here, somewhere

Is that SATS results you mean morning? I think dd1 got a 2b last year, I'd have to check that though

blissa · 19/03/2009 21:14

Oh and dp is being a selfish arse, and I've had enough at the mo!

mooseloose · 19/03/2009 21:55

Blissa - you could knit a long thin scarf .................. to strangle dp with .
my little ds is year 2 morning. I didnt think they were doing sats now? i could be wrong though. my older ds (14) isn't, but will have end of year tests anyway.
Ds who is just 9 did sats (y4 now) and I think he got a 3. He has just done a maths paper and says he got a 3a. 24/30. He said someone else got a 3a* (I'm sure thats not possible!) and another one who got 29/30 got a 5c. Again that can't be possible cos 5 more marks wont give him that much higher!
