I've been off work nearly three months now and am just really fed up with myself now. i've refused any meds but I just cant get over it. I started my counselling last week, and am hopeful she can sort me out. it was caused by by son having an accident, and juggling work etc which just got too much and made me cry.
Id had a lot of panic attacks but they are getting better but now I just feel worried when i go out, and that i want to cry.
Today I just can't breathe. I don't know if i'm worse today because i'm due on too.
I just really feel i've lost my way and lost confidence in myself, and i dont know what to do to get myself back.
I'm all crabby and wound up with people too - no patience.
I think the doctor is fed up with me too and i'm also worried she won't keep giving me sick notes, i'm never usually ill.......

blissa · 14/02/2009 20:10

I'm ok thanks. Had a little wobble at the shop earlier, the first time I've been with all 3 since I was in hospital, but I managed.

Have you had a good day? Dp forgot it was valentines, but then I hadn't got him anything either

morningsun · 14/02/2009 22:42

I had a dream last night i had a panic attack and so woke up this morning quite panicky and havent dared go out today (it is nearing the time of the month so this is when i am usually worse)

On a positive note my back seems much better after falling in the snow.

Dont want to go to sleep incase i dream about panic attacks-does anyone else dream this?

candyheartsandchocolates · 15/02/2009 07:12

having a bad couple of days
been having stabbing pains in my chest for 3 weeks now ever since i had bronchitis, the bronchitis has gone but still getting pains,im worried and its painfull.
will go to the gp tomorrow if i can get an appointment ,im sure they think im making it up.
i just cant think what it could be?
anyone got any idea's
its making me anxious but its not the normal tight chestedness i normally get when anxious so i dont think its the anxiety causing it.
havent told dh ,not sure why though.
just wanted to talk to someone about it

candyfluff · 15/02/2009 08:44

have changed my name back to normal
im so fed up with my anxiety
i just want a break from it
i just want to go away for a few days
what do you all do when ur feeling bad

blissa · 15/02/2009 12:45

Hi everyone, how are you today moose?

I feel knackared today and a bit breathless, think its cos I was singing along to the radio while I was ironing? I'm so unfit! And I've just noticed a stone is missing from my engagement ring.

So glad your dh has the all clear morningsun, hope you're having a better day x

Haven't dreamt of having panic attacks, mummy, must be scary. I often worry about having one if I'm going somewhere and that can trigger one. I hope you got some sleep last night.

How are you doing candy? Have you been coughing a lot? Could the pains be muscular from that. I know dp complains of chest pain when he has a cough. I know what you mean about getting away from it, apart from telling myself that today is a bad day and I just have to get through it, tomorrow is another day, etc I haven't really found a way of dealing with it. One minute I'll be ok and feeling normal and then I'll remember what happened and start having horrible thoughts. I just want to rewind and somehow stop it from happening, but I can't

helloo
Feeling a bit better as the day has gone on. Woke up crying. It's my birthday too! Why would i cry on my birthday? Have made myself smile, for the children.
I just feel really unhappy. Yesterday I really felt like I couldn't even stand up any longer. Just needed to go to bed and cocoon myself. I've not been this bad for a long time. Thanks for your nice messages xx

Happy Birthday!!

Can you get out for a run today? Do you think that would help?

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 15/02/2009 13:29

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOOSE

sometimes I try to go with the whole american thing of "fake it to make it" If I pretend I am happy for long enough my mood does tend to lighten a bit.

back later - am supposed to be cleaning the house.

morningsun · 15/02/2009 14:03

Happy Birthday Moose!
Just remind yourself your ds is ok now and the psych upset will settle down in time but it might be like a zig zag on a graph for a while.Unless of course it leads to depression when maybe you should try a/ds cos it takes a lot longer to get over otherwise, like a year or so.
Hope you get some peace of mind to enjoy your birthdayxx

Hi Blissa am cleaning again today bleach and everything!
I know its been frightening for you but now your on the warfarin i wouldn't think you have a higher risk than say during pregnancy or of other illnesses would it help to think of it that way?Would it help if you post when you get worrying symptoms?
Have you considered emdr or the rewind technique for trauma, this helps you remember the traumatic event calmly and matter of factly,so without the accompanying feelings of distress and fear.Hope you feeling better anywayxx
Must stop waffling am in disgrace for being on mn too much!!

blissa · 15/02/2009 14:25

I seem to live on here at the moment morningsun! I've given up on the cleaning today, I've done a bit of ironing and put a casserole in the oven. Dc's are out getting filthy in the garden so I shall throw them in the bath when they come in.

I know it is very unlikely for me to get another clot whilst on Warfarin, I do belong to PE support site which has also been very helpful and someone posted on there a study that had been done where half a group of people had been treated with heparin and half with warfarin. There were a few recurrances of clots in the group being treated with heparin and 0 in the warfarin group, so that was encouraging.

I have spoken to lots of people who have been through the same thing, including a fellow mnetter! and they're still here and doing well, and I'm begining to believe I will too. The dark cloud has lifted, but I can't wait for the day to come where I haven't thought about the PE.

I don't want to burden you girls with all the symptoms I get, I'd probably drive you nuts, but if I get anything I'm really worried about I'll be here! I think I'm slowly begining to learn what is serious and what is either the anxiety or side effects of the warfain.

candyfluff · 15/02/2009 17:31

happy birthday moose
sorry your not feeling good today

im not coughing so its not that
im going to go back to the gp again and i will not be fobbed off im sure they thinkk im making it up

oh and its official
i hate potty training

mooseloose · 15/02/2009 21:36

helloooo
Thanks girls. I feel better now! Greyskull your advice on faking worked and i did eventually feel better! dh most alarmed I woke up on my birthday like this. He was so sweet and concerned and cuddly to me.
have had another really (too) busy day. family in to see me, and then footie for ds too, then out for tea, and then friends. i'm sure i will pay for it tomorrow again!
have got snuggly pj on and hot water bottle now! mmmmmmm.
Candy, i still have tight chest, not sure if the anxiety or cough remains - I'm still coughing, but not nearly so bad, Doc said tight cos congested with catarr(sorry). have you tried to breathe the steam in a hot cup of water few times a day, doc told me do that.
Glad to hear your back is better mummy - have to be careful with backs else it never goes away.
Morning - graet news about hubby. But I know what you mean about the time flying on mn! I have to restrain my self from looking on 'last 15 mins'!

Blissa , hope you have been okay today. I've had two stones out of my ring over time. I take it to a goldsmith, soletrader man, and he always replaces it for me, and checks the claws of the rest over.

half term next week, guess we wont be online as much!

xx

morningsun · 17/02/2009 10:13

thats good blissa .my dd is dealing with some anxiety atm which may be due to her being seriously ill last year, not helped by looking things up on the internet,in books etc
glad you are doing well

candyfluff · 17/02/2009 10:35

morning ladies
had a good day yesterday with the kids took them out in the morning and got a few dvd's to keep them busy, done lots of housework.
at 7pm my next door neightbour came round and complained that the kids were making too much noise going up and down the stairs,it really stressed me out how can i stop the 2 yr old going up and down stairs?
the house we live in has really thin walls,as if i havent got enough to deal with and now i have to keep telling them off all the time.
i went to the gp this morning and she says ive got costochondritis, its and inflammation of the cartiledge in the ribs.she says it can be confused with the symptoms of a heart attack so i know i did have a right to be worried ,just got to take ibuprofen for the pain and she said if it doesnt go in a few weeks to go back (ive had it for 3 already). felt anxoius b4 the appointment incase the gp fobbed me off but feeling calmer now i have a name for it iyswim

morningsun · 17/02/2009 13:49

Hi candy glad you got an idea of whats wrong from gp
do you usually get on ok with your neighbour can you explain its half term and just normal noise or is there anything else thats bothering her you could compromise on or is she ill or something?

candyfluff · 17/02/2009 15:20

hi morning sun
they are in their 50's /60's and just dont like kids
they have lived there 2 and a half years and have complained about the kids 3 times now
the walls in these houses are really thin
did tell them that we can hear everything they do too
he wasnt rude
the thing is my ds 2.7 follows the other 2 everywhere so its hard to keep them quiet

blissa · 17/02/2009 18:01

Hi all, good to hear it went well with the gp candy, hope its put your mind at rest.

Sorry your dd is experiencing anxiety morningsun, how old is she?

Had another busy day, had a friend over for lunch, so my dcs have been busy playing with her dcs all day, took them to the park for a couple of hours too so they are now worn out!

mooseloose · 17/02/2009 18:35

Hi, had a nice day today, just not doing a lot really. Went tomacdonalds - they have a play area, so I read the paper, and then went to Tesco.
Bet you are happier now Candy, about your chest - never heard of that before!
Ran 7 miles last night. Need to do some ironing tonight! Will do it watching 'Mistresses' - did anyone watch the forst series? It was good........

morningsun · 17/02/2009 22:04

well shes not been sleeping and feels worried
it relates to a stay in hospital a few months ago when she was very seriously even critically ill and all the investigations etc that she had,and coming to terms with having a chronic illness
also schooling and other things affected by her illness
shes 15 now was 14 then

mooseloose · 17/02/2009 22:27

oh dear Morning. 15 is quite a tricky age isn't it - they feel all grown up then, and worry about things. I have a ds who is 14. But he is quite laid back. think boys are more so thatn girls. Think girls do brood and worry more. perhaps she needs some counselling and talk to someone outside of the family. My frinds ds12 has had some counselling at school about something he worried about that escalated. Do they not offer anything at her school?

OP posts:
morningsun · 17/02/2009 23:49

yes she has started with a counsellor thanks
some of it is anxiety about her health from reading up about it and some is emotional in that shes angry about the effects the meds etc have had
a paed nurse is coming on friday hope will help
also considering going back to her original specialist who is basically the top man and had lots of ancillary staff like specialist nurses for her to talk to every time we went to clinic.we moved to go to clinic nearer home but regret that now.
some is just her age
thanks girls
