Dont mind me im just writing this so i can keep track of my symptoms and how i feel.
Feel free to comment, take the piss or add your own experiance of being on AD's.

Just remember that the vast majority of side effects are short lived. I found that most went away within the first couple of weeks of taking a new ad and the benefits became more apparent then too. If, in a couple of weeks or so, you really don't feel any better then you really must go back. There are soooooo many ads out there and it might just mean you need a different one. Has your gp referred you for any other help?

8 weeks seems a long time when you've only just started the tablets. Please make sure you go back sooner if you have any concerns, however trivial you may feel they are.

Drowsiness seems to be going and i can feel myself waking up so i think a good nights sleep is looking less likely but we shall see. If i dont sleep tonight i will swap to taking them in the evening tomorrow and hope thats better.

and I absolutely agree, if you feel things aren't picking up in a week or so, or if you feel wobblier, go back to the GP. That's what they're there for. 8 wks is shoddy imo, he sounds like a bleeding shirker

• weeks is probably toolong if its the 1st time u have beenon them. More normal is about 4 weeks, then if its not working they increase the dose for another 4 etc. Ususlly after about 3-4 months they will know if that particular type of AD is working for u

TWR, go to the library and get some books. Can you get to one near you? Or ask the Children's Centre ladies if they have any, they might have.

Hello chich, I'm finie-ish. Bit of a domestic at the mo but wtf, who needs men?!. The library will have FREE sessions too, story time etc and that would be a nice time out for you and the boys. They have story tapes too, which I know DS1 might like to listen to and also adult ones, so if you're not sleeping too well, you could chill out in bed and hopefully drop off!! LOL xx

Re the docs appointment- how much of a prescription did he give u? 4 weeks or 8? If its 4 then just say u wanted to se him b4 getting a repeat prescription. Or you could just say u dont feel they are working(enough) after 4 weeks (if they aren't).

If your doctor is anything like mine he wont een rememer when you last came in or how long he told u to come back.

he gave me 8 weeks worth an dtold me to come back after.
