Please tell me that mine isnt the only house that looks like a compete shit-hole?!?! I'm sick to death of all the crap everywhere. DD's toys and clothes that she just dumps everywhere. dp's clothes on the floor that he cant be bothered to pick up and wash. No matter how many times i tidy it the house looks awful and its really getting me down. I dread anybody knocking on the door because its too embarassing to open it! I know you cant expect to have a toddler and an immaculate house but surely not this bad??? I dont know anyone else with little ones so i havent had any other experience of it. I've just filled a black bag with a load of toys pens figures and chucked it out and thats only one room!! Do you think it would be cruel to throw it all away? (obviously not all of her stuff!!)

SantaQuated · 17/12/2004 14:41

Duh-Dah
Done

can't believe how much i've done today. if i spent this long cleaning each day you'd soon be able to eat of my floors!!

let's rephrase that---
if i spent this long cleaning each day i'd be a sad miserable cow who did nothing but clean.

juniperdropofbrandy · 17/12/2004 14:44

I dunno, I go out for a boozy lunch and what do I come back to?? Domestic Goddesses, that's what!!!!

Well I was going to hoover but the dyson made weird noises then stopped sucking?? I've rung brother and he said to drop it off tomorrow and he'll see if it can be fixed. Otherwise RIP to me old mate

I've got to go to get DS1 from school soon so I'll do some chores when I get back, honest!

why does ds room always smell. He's 16 and will not let me in very often, but i get him to change his sheets every week and open his windows in the morning. He hoovers and polishes on demand but his bedroom always has an unpleasant undertone. Not pleasant. Bought him a plug in for his room but the mixture of his smell mixed with the sweet plug in smell was even worse!!

juniperdropofbrandy · 17/12/2004 14:54

Could there be something lurking somewhere? My sons are much younger but I found some food in there that was luminous

bonniej · 17/12/2004 18:06

lol I think it's just the natural teenage boy aroma.

juniperdropofbrandy · 17/12/2004 18:47

yes it could be. So I've got all that to look forward to have I??
how's my fave place Blackpool then bonniej? I was pining for it when I saw it on Most haunted Can't wait for my yearly visit next winter!

I'm going to confess to not doing much in the way of chores this afternoon My Mum was here and a friend and her daughter came back after school. Oh, I did make tea for the boys and put the zillions of xmas cards up on the hangers, does that count?

SantaQuated · 17/12/2004 21:06

yes, that counts.

my upstais is beeaauuttiiffuull
but downstairs; now there's another tale

bonniej · 17/12/2004 21:10

just logged back in. trying to be good today and spend minimal time on the computer! Blackpool is bleak, juniper. rainy, very, very windy and just not very nice. Then again, i suppose it's like that all over the country isn't it? I used to love Blackpool when i came for holidays but went off it a bit rapidly when we moved here!

juniperdropofbrandy · 18/12/2004 10:24

Ty santaquated Lucky you having a nice upstairs, my bathroom is and the boys room's clean and fairly tidy but not mine I think I'm an eternal student lol.

The weather's the same here bonniej. I had such plans for today, shopping etc...I should've checked the weather forecast though. Might take the boys to the cinema this afternoon to avoid housework........

I am off work with a broken foot and my house has never been so clean - well apart from ds and dd's room - I refuse to clean them! Went in to the office yesterday for Chirstmas buffet and I was cracking up cos the office is like a pig sty. I have far too much time on my hands - luckily I sould return to normal when I go back to work cos I'll be too busy to worry about mess!!!
