... I'm sending you a hug (or some other equivalent if a hug is not wanted). You can get through this ❤️

Good morning. Wishing everyone on here a manageable day Flowers

Notgettingbetter · 28/12/2021 10:02

Just a few more days and this year will be finished. I'll be glad to see the back of it. I really hope next year is better for everyone. It's raining and very dull outside - I really need some sunshine. Sending love and support to all ❤️

Sending hugs to you all xx i still have trouble sleeping. I just can't switch off completely I've been like this since my teenage years . It just gets worse when I have my low days.

goldenochre · 28/12/2021 11:01

I know by writing this I am not helping anyone but it feels better to lay it out here. I feel guilty when I see my problems are nothing compared to anyone else's i am so sorry

Notgettingbetter · 28/12/2021 11:14

@goldenochre no need to apologise or feel bad - I'm glad it helps a bit to get it out 🙂

You've as much right to be here as any of us Flowers
ninnynonny · 28/12/2021 14:31

I didn't realise how down I still am until maybe yesterday. Just couldn't get to sleep last night, ended up going downstairs at half one till 3am!
Hate this weather, hate the thought of an endless stretch of days with nothing good in them. My poor family deserve more.

@goldenocre - you are totally welcome here. I often think my problems are petty and unimportant but if they make you feel bad, then what anyone else is feeling really doesn't compare. You need an outlet and hopefully this thread can help a bit.

Wolfiefan · 28/12/2021 14:35

We have had a little sunshine today. Hope it spreads.
@goldenochre how you feel is real. It doesn’t matter who “has it worse”. I have no reason to feel depressed. But then I have no good reason to be asthmatic and I have that. Be gentle with yourself.

OnwardsEverStridingOnwards · 28/12/2021 16:56

@goldenochre the point of this thread is to talk. You've done nothing wrong and are more than welcome here ❤️

goldenochre · 28/12/2021 20:14

Thank you ❤️ all I really appreciate it. This is all I have as a support.

Hugs to anyone who need it, lots

@ninnynonny I’ve become almost nocturnal - I find myself staying up later and later, sometimes 4 or 5am before I get to bed, and then waking at lunchtime. I’m getting 11-12 hours sleep some nights, just all at the wrong times Grin

Can’t wait for the start of the year - have just joined a new gym (open 24 hours which is handy!) and have applied for two new jobs.

That sounds positive 😊

ninnynonny · 29/12/2021 13:44

@GregTheEgg That's brilliant about the gym and the jobs! Go for it.
I managed to get a run in yesterday so got a bit of a better night's sleep. Back at work today ( a bit of going in and a bit at home) so at least have some more of a focus. Hope everyone is getting through the day xx

wildthingsinthenight · 29/12/2021 16:12

Afternoon hugs for you all.
Today is hard for me here. Had a lot of panic this morning as our loo is on the blink and we are waiting for an emergency plumber. It is triggering as I have a chronic condition which means access to loos is essential and we only have one. Also struggle with people coming in the house like workmen. Feel like I have not been able to take a full feel breath all day.

I wanted to share that one if the tools I use is Audible on my phone. I have favourite comforting books on there and put it on to distract me. If I'm tidying kitchen or putting washing away or whatever it is it is there talking away and it does help me.

Well done getting a run in!

Sorry typo.
A deep breath not a feel breath

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 29/12/2021 16:26

I've spent the last 4 days alone and today finally left the house for a bracing beach walk. I felt better after the walk but now back to "reality" The thing is I know I can do it. I've done it before. I'm just so tired and just don't think I want to.

OnwardsEverStridingOnwards · 29/12/2021 17:09

Hi all,

Had a really bad night because of my antidepressants. (I've been on sertraline for a few weeks) had the worst night ever but managed to get some sleep earlier.

Still waiting for a neurologist appointment at the hospital. I wish I could just find out what's wrong.

😘❤️😘

Brilliant you got out for a beach walk. Well done. Sorry you're struggling. Sending a big hugFlowers
GregTheEgg · 29/12/2021 19:34

Oh I’d love to live by the beach. Glad you got to enjoy a wintery waterside walk Iguess

I know exactly what you mean - it’s not that you can’t do it, but sometimes you just can’t summon the energy or motivation to keep trying.

GregTheEgg · 29/12/2021 19:36

Hope your medication kicks in and that you’re able to get to the bottom of your medical issues Onwards - it makes things so much harder when you’re battling medical issues as well as situational ones. Flowers

GregtheEgg.

Sometimes I feel like the guy with the heavy ball rolling it to the top of the hill and just as you think things might be okay it all just goes to he'll and you get run over by a big stone ball.
