@Llh1979 I’m not to bad. Suppose to go back to work next week not sure if I’m ready though. Cbd oil is cheap here in the states. Did they find anything with the scope?

Llh1979 · 24/02/2021 18:59

@Heather104 no they said everything looked good it was just traumatic in itself but I wasnt sedated as i wanted to go straight home
Its between £20 and £30 here for a good 1 for a 10ml bottle
Glad to hear you are feeling better but if your not ready to go back to work then dont go only go when you are ready

Heather104 · 11/03/2021 22:07

@Llh1979 I return to work Monday. So anxious about it. How are you doing?

Llh1979 · 11/03/2021 22:39

@Heather104 I'm still like a yoyo the doctor has prescribed mirtazapine but I'm yet to take it I was doing better until the kids returned to school on monday I didnt think I was anxious about it but I clearly am
Is returning to work making your anxiety worse or is it controllable while on the citalopram

Can I jump on this thread please, I've not read it all but I started citalopram and have only taken for 2 days but I feel sick, tired and my hand/arms feel weak and shaky is this normal

Llh1979 · 12/03/2021 15:27

@imfallingtopieces
Hi
Yes it's all very normal on this type of medication I had to stop taking it as on day 5 it made me suicidal but there are plenty of people who have had great success with citalopram I'm just not good with any SSRI
I hope it helps you feel better soon

Thanks @Llh1979 for replying. I've only been on it 2 days and I'm feeling very anxious/spaced out and a bit numb. I'm not sure I can carry on. I feel a bit scared.
Are you trying anything else

Llh1979 · 12/03/2021 15:42

@imfallingtopieces they say that your anxiety gets worse before it gets better with these type of tablets
The doctor had prescribed me mirtazapine which is an snri but I've been to scared to take it so it's still sat in my handbag
It's like looking for a magic pill when there really isn't 1 what mg are you taking?

Heather104 · 12/03/2021 16:53

@Llh1979 I was super anxious yesterday about it. A bit better today. I know I have to go back it’s just the pushing to do it. I wanted to start slow but they’re pushing 40 hours on me.

Heather104 · 12/03/2021 16:54

@imfallingtopieces that’s all common what you’re feeling. For the first 2 weeks it was horrible won’t lie. Everything was intensified. What mg are you taking?

Llh1979 · 12/03/2021 16:59

@Heather104 do you have a union or occupational health person you can speak with about going back on shorter hours until your feeling more settled

OP posts:
imfallingtopieces · 12/03/2021 17:01

@Heather104 I'm only on 10mg for first week and then 20 mg second week. I really want to keep with it but I'm struggling

Heather104 · 12/03/2021 19:08

@imfallingtopieces you could always try just 5mg that’s what I started on and still taking. It’s been 8 weeks. The first week is the worst

Heather104 · 12/03/2021 19:58

@Llh1979 my boss called me back today and said when I finish my work I can leave. So that should shorten my hours and I now only have to work 4 days.

Llh1979 · 12/03/2021 20:14

@Heather104 that's good hopefully all will go well

Heather104 · 13/03/2021 05:07

@Llh1979 I’m definitely hoping so. I feel better about it today too. I think it’s just the thought of it more than actually doing it since I’ve been off almost 8 weeks. Have you decided if you’re going to try anything else yet?

Llh1979 · 13/03/2021 07:10

@Heather104 I think I'm going to try the mirtazapine its just building up the courage to do so hoping that I dont react to it
I had my covid jab 2 weeks ago thinking it would help with the anxiety but no such luck as yet

OP posts:
Heather104 · 16/03/2021 12:06

@Llh1979 have you tried it yet? How did the covid jab go? When do you get your second dose?

Llh1979 · 16/03/2021 12:16

@Heather104 hi
I've still not started it 🙈 I was going to start in sunday but had a migraine over the weekend and it's still lingering so waiting till that clears
All was well after my jab just not sure if my migraine was related or not I've my 2nd dose in may I'm glad I've had it and numbers where I am are dropping considerably so fingers crossed things start easing
How are you hows work going?

Can I join? I might switch from sertraline. I've been waiting forever to feel better and have only had slight relief. Feel awful today ( 3 weeks into increase 100mg) not sleeping or eating. Super anxious. Citalopram helped me before. I was on it for 13 years no issues at various doses but it's only since switching to sertraline (for pregnancy) last year that anxiety has crept back up

Llh1979 · 16/03/2021 19:28

@Imagineit
Hi
Sorry to hear the sertraline is making you feel so rough I was on it 3 years ago and apart from feeling nausea for a few days I had no problems but this time around it made me suicidal and so did the citalopram
I always thought citalopram was safe in pregnancy
I've been offered a snri now but very hesitant to take it I keep thinking no i dont need it yes i do need it but do what you think is right for you if you was ok on citalopram I'd ask about going back on it there is nothing worse than feeling ill on top of your anxiety as you end up not knowing what is what causing what
Always around if you need a chat

@Llh1979 I know it’s been a couple weeks but how have you been?

Llh1979 · 31/03/2021 14:19

@Heather104 hi
I've been doing really well still AD free just on the propranolol 20mg once a day I've been seeing a private therapist shes been amazing
How are you doing hows work going?

OP posts:
Heather104 · 31/03/2021 15:36

@Llh1979 that is so good!! Work as been good back to a routine has helped. I am cutting down on the meds too. Down to 2.5mg. I just don’t think they were for me. I feel so much better on the lower. How is the propranolol? I hear about it a lot, wondering if would help me if I’d ask for some.
