@Heather104 I know they say it can take 6-8 weeks for you to notice a difference but surely they shouldnt make you feel this ill are you worse now than in the beginning?

@Llh1979 yes I feel worse. I’ve never had anxiety like this before. I don’t know if it’s because it’s only 5mg and I need to go up or it’s just not for me. So hard.

Llh1979 · 26/01/2021 11:13

@Heather104 I had never had anxiety like it until I tried the sertraline at the beginning of December it really did send me in a downward spiral I had my 1st ever panic attack and suicidal thoughts after 2 doses that's why I was so scared to try the citalopram I think maybe if your no better by next monday you need to ask for something else I really do hope your feeling better soon anxiety on top of feeling unwell is a nightmare

Nat6999 · 26/01/2021 16:10

Make sure you eat a good meal before you take your Citalopeam otherwise it may make you feel sick.

Llh1979 · 26/01/2021 16:18

@Heather104 I'm going to take it for 6 days which will be Saturday then up it on sunday as I have a telephone appointment with the doctor on monday so I can let him know how I'm feeling

I am so happy that the side effects are lessening.
Sleep is always a bonus.

And so the nausea has started 😢😢

candycane222 · 28/01/2021 15:28

Llh i take mine after eating - helps me with the (slight) nausea. Funnily enough I had the similar reaction as you to one lone sertraline tab after using it successfully in past. Weird huh? So opted for citalopram instead, no problems when starting it. I do feel a bit light-headed if I am late with a dose but taking it sorts it quickly. It definitely helps me. Smile

Heather104 · 28/01/2021 16:00

@Llh1979 I was just going to ask how you were feeling. I still have a bit of nausea most days.

Llh1979 · 28/01/2021 16:06

@candycane222 that's really reassuring to hear that's the citalopram has worked for you this time sertraline was he devil this time I'm hoping the citalopram helps can I ask how many mg your on?
@Heather104 its just the nausea I slept well again last night

candycane222 · 28/01/2021 16:13

Llh - just 10mg. I was started on 10, with the idea of going up to 20, but I never felt the need. Possibly things hadn't got so bad this time round, I just knew myself and could see where I was headed. Been on it for years no, don't expect ever to stop tbh. It just seems to keep the demons at bay for me.

Llh1979 · 28/01/2021 16:17

@candycane222 I'm on 5mg until saturday then sunday I'll take the 10mg that's been prescribed I'm really hoping it helps and the side effects dont get worse
