Well, we had the usual attacking DD and then crying to get her into trouble.

He's got basketball club this afternoon, he's on his 2nd strike. I can't see him behaving on so little sleep. DD's got CAMHS tomorrow, I'll make an appointment for DS2 while there.

Stilllivinginazoo · 27/11/2018 12:39

Philomena law of averages says at least one day we will have an easy smooth sailing start to the morning, doesn't it?
Hugs for later, nothing worse I think than o wetired added to a difficult mix of other thingsFlowers

Stilllivinginazoo · 27/11/2018 16:48

How did we get on Philomena?
I've got D's snuggled up next to me snorting, coughing and trying to colour as his temp keeps rising triggering palpitations and panic...think going to be a loooong night here....

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/11/2018 18:46

Flowers to you zoo. I'm afraid I'd lose my temper and tell him not to be so ridiculous. Blush

The PE teacher reported much better behaviour today, I'm so proud of him. Star He's crashed out in our bed. 😂

Sorry to hear about DCs being sick. I guess the upshot is they need more rest which makes for a quieter household? Or just crankier DCs? Confused. Hope they feel better soon. And that you ladies get some rest xx Flowers

PhilomenaButterfly · 28/11/2018 10:53

DD's off with that sicky, headachey cold again, I've had to cancel CAMHS too. I need to book DS2's assessment later.

Good luck zoo! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

Do you think that's enough 4-leaf clovers? 😂

My therapist's cancelled today, I now have to wait until 10th December. 😭

PhilomenaButterfly · 30/11/2018 10:26

Did I say? DS2's 1st CAMHS is on 18th January.

vikingwoman · 30/11/2018 15:09

Hope everyone's made it through the school week still in one piece Grin.

Zoo good luck with the appointments today. Perhaps make your lovely risotto as a pat on the back for getting through the week? Smile Flowers.

Wolf hopefully you won't have to wait too long for services next year Flowers.

Philomena do you think you'll be okay until Dec 10? Flowers.

DS1's psychiatrist won't be able to see him until late January/early Feb - she is that busy! DS1 not helping the situation by refusing to speak to anyone else.
Fair bit of communication with his school this week. What started as absolute refusal to speak to anyone at the school, DS1 is coming around to the idea. DH will have final talk with him this weekend.
I've developed a terrible crush on the school principal. Blush

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/11/2018 16:52

Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgh

So doc was fab(as always, she's brill with D's)his weight is low,but he hasn't drop two centiles, which is standard red flag and as he eats a bit she's of opinion just add fats to everything you can(cream to milkshake, butter to potatoes etc) as way more palatable and nutritionally sound than anything she could prescribe.if drops below two centiles,of course come back.also agreed on school request to more bloods to confirm deffo is "just" anxiety.repeats of blood screen and thyroid and vitamin profiling added in to for good measure.as he's not great needles cream for his arm be ready Tuesday to collect then go down to hospital kids blood unit Friday for that.so far so great
CAHMS...review was actually a meet with psychiatrist who had no idea why we were there after only having assessment.within ten mins of ask about his birth and how felt about himself he declared needs Prozac!
I was shocked as expected talking therapies/counselling...he's not even 13 yet for goodness sake!to which questioning him made h get arsey we weren't helping him to get better and that he can't expect not go school if doesn't take the drugsShockI bit my tongue so hard thought I'd bite it off!!he then start ranting about low weight causing brain chemical issues, ketones causing him to become more depressed and we need deal his refusal to eat.wrm,he does it just hard when throat feels tight, and we already know he needs huge volume of good to keep his weight up,always has..I point out doc was ok with his weight to which he turned on me that body and mind are different things then concluded can't grow string bones if doesn't eat wellAngryI can only assume he's not used being questioned over his decisions!in the end he reluctantly agreed put on wait list for talking therapy and autism check as has sensory issues(heavy pointed out long wait times) and wants us back review 4-6 weeks, app pending
I had assumed CAHMS would help support HIS needs and be the link between me and school o we what's best for my son's MH.nope guess again zoo,yet again it's up to you to fight what's best for D's ON YOUR OWN

OP posts:
PhilomenaButterfly · 30/11/2018 16:55

viking yes, really, thanks. I think I'm supposed to find my autism diagnosis harder than I actually do. I'm totally OK with it. If other people have a problem with me, that's their problem.

vikingwoman · 30/11/2018 17:55

oh Zoo Hugs galore and Flowers Flowers.

Are you serious - re: the psychiatrist?! After ten minutes?!! Insanity!

About DS' weight, do you think he might like those Ensure nutritional shakes? There's one that has extra calories (along with all the nutrients) for those who want to gain weight. My DCs at various times were very slim and it was recommended by their pediatrician.
My father was also drinking them when he got ill. They are a bit pricey though.

Wishing you a calm and peaceful evening xx

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/11/2018 18:18

I wish I was serious VikingSad
He has had fortisip(build up milkshake) but tbh you get more calories adding skim milk powder/cream to standard milkshakes and tastes nicer!!
He does eat a little.today he's had a cereal bar,a ham roll with salad and a banana.bag crisps.just about give him little helping pasta with pesto, peas and cheese

That's pretty much what DS1 does with his food zoo, he's got cystic fibrosis and can't digest fat without synthetic enzymes, but still only digests about 75%.

Yes, I can recommend Ensure DS1 has them.

Thisisit777 · 30/11/2018 18:23

May I join please ? Sad
