Sorry I'm absent in middle of moving - see my thread in chat labelled we move next week Wink

mosp · 30/06/2012 10:26

Hope you are coping alright snap!! Moving is horrible.

Just wanted to tell you that I got a letter today from trauma centre. Finally have an appointment, though I think it is just an initial assessment. Prob long wait for therapy, but at least things are moving in the right direction.

Hi all,

Back from the land of no internet! :)

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Sounds like things have been pretty hectic.
It's pissing down with rain here, I have a stack of washing to do, and the garden is too overgrown and too wet to hang anything out in.

Been a bit mixed here of late. People are very slow to respond to my request for RSVPs to dad's memorial so I now have to chase up by phone/mail to see how many people are coming. FFS what do they think RSVP by X date means?! Angry
One of our cats died the day before we were due to go on holiday so that was all rather upsetting, although he'd been quite poorly for a couple of weeks. Better it was before we went than whilst we were away, I guess.

On a lighter note I got good grades in my BSc (had a look on line for a preview) and am OK to apply for the masters if I want (but it is REALLY expensive so need to work out how the hell to finance it).... and we had a lovely relaxing holiday despite rain on every day.

On which note I am off to entertain DD for a bit, and get some more washing on.

Mosp, MrsSnap - how you doin'?

MrsSnaplegs · 12/07/2012 13:22

Hi all sorry still caught up in the move but at the other end Grin unpacking as our stuff arrived today - kitchen done and washing machine plumbed
How are things with you Geoff?

mosp · 13/07/2012 00:18

Hello Geoff and Snap. Again, I am so sorry. I just feel such a dread of my appointment at the trauma centre (on Tuesday) and I've been avoiding thinking about it or looking at anything that reminds me (this thread included).

I know we thought about a new thread, but I didn't start it because I don't want it to be 'my' thread.

It is good to hear that your move has happened smoothly Snap.

Geoff - great news about your qualiification. Well done to you!

Have you had any more responses re the memorial? I really hope so.

Can one of you maybe start a new thread, but not with my name in the title and preferably not in 'mental health' because this section is too much for me at the moment (head in sand emoticon)?

Mosp - Geoff may have to do it as I only have access from my phone currently - computer is still in a box somewhere and we are (with permission) hacking our neighbours wifi connection until we get phones and Internet connected Smile
Just think of Tuesday as the start of something new and fresh!
A new stronger you will emerge like a butterfly from its chrysalis Wink

Geoff - are you able to start a new thread - not sure where it should go!

ElephantsCanRemember · 13/07/2012 06:25

Sorry for intruding, but have been following your thread Mosp.
I have no words of wisdom or anything like that. But just wanted to say that you sound great. You seem to have such an awareness about yourself but still able to think of others and have a sense of humour whilst dealing with your own situation.
Hope things get better for you soon, xx

NotGeoffVader · 14/07/2012 09:52

Happy to oblige. I'll start a new thread just in chat, which has lots of traffic but doesn't fall under anything specific.

Had a few more responses to the memorial thing but still waiting on people. Angry

Got a few birthdays and things this month so fairly busy outside of that anyway and now trying to think of 'programme of events' to ensure the day runs smoothly so I expect to be kept on my toes for the next week or so.
Will post a link to the thread shortly.
