I want to cancel my skype and also facebook. I have googled. Sorry, I can't work out how to do it. I need to get rid of them both. Please, can anyone guide me what to do?

You wont be alone when you pop back.

Hello
Thanks to all of you who have reported this thread.
We have moved this thread out of chat and into mental health.
mosp we are so sorry to hear that you're going through this.
The others on this thread are right - you do need to talk to someone in RL.
Please do see our mental health web guide which can point you to expert advice and support.
All best to you
MNHQ

Thank you Olivia, glad someone noticed at last.

rhondajean · 20/05/2012 20:32

Or should I say acknowledged!

MrsSnaplegs · 20/05/2012 20:37

Thanks Olivia Smile

NotGeoffVader · 20/05/2012 21:31

Thankyou for moving the thread, Olivia.

Mosp, I will be here 'til around 10.30 tonight, or otherwise back tomorrow evening as during the day I am occupied with clearing out personal effects (different story that has no place on this thread).

FamiliesShareGerms · 20/05/2012 21:59

Thanks Olivia.

Mops, I'm around until about 2230 too, but am sure there will be others later on

mosp · 20/05/2012 22:00

Are you feeling any better mosp? You should put those tabets out of reach in a cupboard somewhere maybe?

MrsSnaplegs · 20/05/2012 22:12

Hey mosp good to see you back Smile

I agree put those tablets out of sight and out of reach of your children as well.

I take it they were prescribed by your GP, is it worth going back to talk about this ?

mosp · 20/05/2012 22:12

my girls are old enough now to be safe near medicines. i've got them next to me by the bed.

admission: i had not blocked the man earlier. i was too tired to do anything further and i didn't want to be told off. i'm trying to do it now, but when i type his name in to block, it comes up with a number of other people with the same name and not him.

Hey Mosp,

The thread was moved as it was of concern, I'd say...and the discussions being had fitted better into mental health issues than general chat.
Glad to see you back on here. Did your friend come over?

TiaMariaandDietCoke · 20/05/2012 22:13

where are you trying to block him from? has he been in contact recently?

mosp · 20/05/2012 22:14

Now I'm feeling weary, confused, sick. keep getting visions of what I had to see. might hit the wine again as soon as the girls fall asleep.

OP posts:
mosp · 20/05/2012 22:15

facebook. yes, he messaged me an hour ago. not replied. he's not my fb friend, but can still message me.

OP posts:
threeleftfeet · 20/05/2012 22:16

mosp did you know you can change your facebook settings so that only friends can message you?

MrsSnaplegs · 20/05/2012 22:17

blocking someone on Facebook does this help?

TiaMariaandDietCoke · 20/05/2012 22:17

If he's messaged you, then all you need to do is type in his name as it appears in his message. You can also report his message (use the actions button if he's said anything inappropriate

mosp · 20/05/2012 22:19

I typed his name in the block box, but he was not there

OP posts:
RetroMom · 20/05/2012 22:19

If he has messaged you, click on his name at the top of the message box and it will take you to his page. Then block and delete him.

MrsSnaplegs · 20/05/2012 22:21

This is a you tube tutorial on how to do it Smile

NotGeoffVader · 20/05/2012 22:23

Retro is right, if you go into your messages, click on his name - that will take you to his page.

Close to the top next to 'message' is a drop down box which you can access by clicking on the thing that looks like a cog wheel with an arrow next to it.
You then have the option to delete/block.

mosp · 20/05/2012 22:28

ok, done it
sadly it has not deleted the messages, but at least I can't see his face (yuck)
