Here's a new thread for us.

Thanks shodatin and hob for all your posts. I think shodatin is right as the only movement I could get in not wanting crisis team daily visits and having my tablets myself was that they'd review it later in the week :( (ie no change and tough because I didn't take them over the weekend so I clearly need them to do this :( :( ).

I ended up walking out today, couldn't handle it. Still no beds (feel for people who are so unwell that they need to be in hospital as they can't be admitted).

OP posts:
Upwardandonward · 26/03/2012 13:25

I find it frustrating that where I'd like to choose between options of eg appointment at 10pm, 2pm or no appointment, I get would you prefer to see me at 10 or 2, and me saying I don't think it's a good idea to meet gets ignored. Particularly with the crisis team who wanted me to choose a time for them to come each day when I don't want 2 strangers coming in my flat.

I feel awful really. I hope others feel better.

OP posts:
shodatin · 26/03/2012 13:46

sorry you're not feeling better upward, but hope you've managed to take the tablets, then they might not insist on coming to the house.

GP's been, friend arrived & is collecting pennicillin prescription now, so will feel better soon no doubt.
Hope today improves for you upward.

Upwardandonward · 26/03/2012 14:05

They are insisting on coming to the house every day, and won't give the meds back to me for now so I have no choice but to let them in and watch me take them each evening. I think hob's right that there's a strong element of compulsion :( (which I have tried to change but can't, short of not answering the door, which probably wouldn't help).

I hope the penicillin helps you

OP posts:
shodatin · 26/03/2012 16:48

Thanks upward, will be better soon.

Hope all goes well with this evening's visit, and that you feel better after taking the tablets.

Upwardandonward · 26/03/2012 17:22

Thanks shodatin just like yours it will take a few days.

OP posts:
Upwardandonward · 26/03/2012 17:58

Sending good thoughts to nilgiri and hob too, and thinking of madmouse and family.

OP posts:
shodatin · 26/03/2012 20:31

Hope you're feeling more relaxed upward. I realise you don't want health team visiting, but hope they send someone you can talk to, and maybe explain why the meds are important.

Forgot to ask visitor to put bin out overnight - as we do here- so will have to set alarm early and get it out myself. At least the car will be fixed tomorrow; one less problem on a horrible day.

Upwardandonward · 26/03/2012 20:51

People have explained today why the meds are important.

I'm sorry about you having to take out your bin - I'm lucky that we have a communal bin shed so people take stuff out as and when for me. That's good that you'll get your car back, hope you feel better tomorrow.

shodatin · 26/03/2012 22:26

Many thanks for the sustenance, which I'm amazed you managed to remember! Hope all went well with visitor and tablets, and you're now able to relax.

Very unusual that hob has not dropped in this evening, I know she would be concerned about you being upset, and am hoping all is well at home/with family.

Another very beautiful planet pattern: Venus and Jupiter still near crescent moon - hope you can see it (S.W?)

Will be off to bed soonish, but will try to stay awake a bit longer. Hope you're not too tired with meds and stress.

cityhobgoblin · 26/03/2012 22:28

Sorry for absence - dislodged 2 cables to hard drive when vacuming & they wouldn't connect unless wagggled at odd angles- got there ein the end

Hope it's not too stressful tonight , upward, and that you and shodatin start feeling the benefit of meds very soon

Relieved ou saaw doctor , shodatin... how annoying about bin , am always scrambling to get mine out in time

So sorry you've both had such horribly hard days , and hope the lovely crisp , clear night brings soothing sleep

Had quick inspection and was better than before , but I know there will still be things on the report which will worry the landlady...agent complimented garden

Brews if you can manage them
< takes sleepy cybergardeners to cyberpond ( mozzie -free ) to show them the hundreds of tadpoles newly hatched >

cityhobgoblin · 26/03/2012 22:30

Sorry to have worred you , kind shodatin - all well, thank you , and hope things are on the up for all

Hope you sleep well, upwardand Nilgiri -moon, planets and indeed the constellations - not that I know many - arre lovely tonighto

shodatin · 26/03/2012 23:16

Glad you're OK hob, and not having anything really serious to cope with, although a couple of cables seem serious enough. Congratulations on having your garden admired! Agent must have been impressed to mention it, so really hope it goes well.
Glad we have tadpoles; has HF seen them yet?
Eyes closing, thanks for good wishes, which are reciprocated. Goodnight all.

Upwardandonward · 27/03/2012 08:13

I'll keep fingers crossed re: the agent hob. I'm glad they complimented the garden. I hope all slept well, without too many worries or illness symptoms.

Thanks for the good wishes, cmht visit today in the morning, at least it's not day services as I'm feeling unsafe there at present. Hopefully the tablets will kick in soonish if they'll help.

Sending healing thoughts and good ones to nilgiri, hob and shodatin.

OP posts:
shodatin · 27/03/2012 10:13

Thanks so much for healing thoughts upward, and do hope you soon feel better about day services - they are safe, honestly.
Three cheers for tablets.....
Off back to bed
Take care people.

Upwardandonward · 27/03/2012 10:48

Get better soon shodatin - I'm never disciplined enough to rest, but it does help when you're poorly.

I don't want hospital but there is a bed now so I am going in later :( no wiggle room/ negotiation (poor cmht person having me saying but is rather not several times :s once dr has decided that's it effectively).

OP posts:
cityhobgoblin · 27/03/2012 11:10

Oh sorry you have no choice , upward , and as you say the cmht person hasn't , either ... I hope the staff will bre able to help you feel a bit safer until the meds start helping you with that - please do tell them about the fear , as they will only infer that you feel unwell from your demeanour anyway & maybe confuse what symptoms you may be experiencing

Sorry for awful English

Have you everything you need for staty ? Is there someone who can heelp you pack / buy aything you need ?

I'll pass on what my Mum&Dad used to say to each other for hospital stays -"courage , mon brave" (they did meet in France , not just being pretentious Grin )

< off to look up basic French >

cityhobgoblin · 27/03/2012 11:14

Hope your bedrest helps , shodatin -get well very soon

The good morning post I was typing when I saw latest message-
Belated good morning all Brew Thinking of you ,upward and hoping with all my might for your medication & shodatin's to start working or to show whether it's the right one for you , asap

Thank you for filling the cybergarden with good wishes radiating far to us all... we are missing Nilgiri and massively hoping she's not too wiped out / stressed, & that madmouse family's house move is going smoothly , with health problems calming down.

Thank you for comforting words about agent , upward
< healing incantations to all >

Will try to sneak in time for some overdue seed planting into trays etc , as FIL offered us his veg patch this year to get v neglectful DIL round there more often and am very behind with it , though did plant broad beans in winter & FIL saved most of them from foxes by covering them with an old doorGrin

shodatin · 27/03/2012 11:30

Will be thinking of you upward, and hoping life's better.

shodatin · 27/03/2012 12:05

Glad you'll have extra growing space hob, and hope not too much work needed before planting. Didn't know foxes ate beans... Thanks for posting, like to read even if difficult to type.

cityhobgoblin · 27/03/2012 12:37

i disdn't know foxes ate beans eitherGrin I suspect it just likes to check whether the new sowings are edible , but FIL has to take may measures against his veg being destroyeed . We have a stream of foxes into this garden ,but I think most of the digging is done by feline paw ... I must repeat your suggestion of putting little sticks around onions etc so HF won't break them with her exuberant flipping

Rotten that you're so wiped out, shodatin & I really hop epenicillin helps shortly . Are you also feeling too yucky to eatSad? You will call friend if having trouble gettin watedrinks / food etc , won't you ?

Have you been able to find most of the basics you'll need, upward , ? Do you need a quick checklist ? < hob pretends to be an organised type >

Main thing of course is for flat / belongings to be secure- are oyu able to store i-Pad ? Have you had time to insure it ? If not , is there anyone who might look after it till you can do the paperwork

Are you able to have anything to eat wto help you feel as strong as you can ? Sorry , you're probably horribly nervous < cybergardeners send positive thoughts >

cityhobgoblin · 27/03/2012 12:37

sorry for extra typos

Upwardandonward · 27/03/2012 12:39

I'm too not together to be sure what I have packed until I get there - cmht person took my bag when she came to visit, which was kind of her.

Thanks for the good wishes. I can try to talk, but it's v hard at present.

I hope you get time for the seeds, hob

OP posts:
Upwardandonward · 27/03/2012 12:41

I'll leave things safe in the flat - hosp is definitely not the place for iPad. That's the annoying thing hob - I have a supermarket delivery coming this afternoon, what a waste of food. Thanks for your good wishes too.

OP posts:
Upwardandonward · 27/03/2012 12:42

And yes, I'm horribly nervous :( thanks for the empathy.
