Morning, all BrewsThank you for idea of early-morning trawl of memory , Showtime , which sounds extremely promising , and hope your helper can get something useful done in the garden .

Magnificent to have managed such a satisfyingly chunky visit , Nilgiri* -< clinksBrews > Hope we all have plenty of R& R today

As so often , I ought to be somewhere & have probably missed the event
altogether < sets up parasols for cybergardeners>

< bustles , as best can whilst still wailing over the Lion King >

< uninjured crows fly into cybergarden , calling for their medals ,
and food of course >

Upwardandonward · 16/05/2012 13:09

Thanks for the Brew I'm still recovering from holiday, but sending good thoughts everyone's way.

OP posts:
Showtime · 16/05/2012 17:27

Sorry I'm late - been doing too much, likewise help, who just forgot the time. Hope you've not missed too much futuredream, and thanks to upward for sending good thoughts while still recovering. Back later.

futuredream · 16/05/2012 19:19

Refreshing Brews Thank you for my helping of good wishes , Upward , and here's to more spoons soon

-likewise Showtime , sounds a marathon day
Just back here too from unexpectedly lengthened outing - a cheeringly productive time but I wish I had managed to get to political event to help support hard pressed campaigners , whose numbers were few today..

Will post properly later < takes beagle for yet another game of catch >

Showtime · 16/05/2012 20:31

I don't know how you do it, futuredream, as I never managed to interest my beagles in catching, unless it was edible, and a thrown object stayed where it landed, unless it was chewable, and even then was sometimes ignored. I'm wondering if HF used to do things like this when young enough to experiment, as all kittens seem to enjoy being actively playful with objects.

We did rather too much today, and am supposed to be still resting up, so will have another early night.
Glad you had enough spoons to be productive, and have no doubt you'll be involved in future political events.

Hope you feel the benefit of the change after your holiday upward, and that you managed to catch up with some resting time today.

futuredream · 16/05/2012 21:39

Ah , 'twas Nilgiri who taght cyberhound to catch with such enthusiasm , Showtime ! HF indeed still keen on hunting obects , and once delighted me by juggling a tiny plant pot - was like an animationGrin

Thank you , comfortng (and grateful) to think will hopefully do a fair bit more of the political stuff...< goaty toes >

Sorry you are extra tired after time with helper ,and hope you have a peaceful , restorative sleep , and same to Upward and Nilgiri

Idyllically pretty evening round here , with new bluebells in bloom ! We have so many photos of this area , for reminiscing . Felines making very funny double act , too
lemonbalm[brews] and hot chocolate

Showtime · 17/05/2012 00:08

Good to have news of felines, isn't it fortunate they're getting on well together; must really enjoy their double-acts.
Hope your MiL is getting on well too, and enjoying her new relationships/improved health.
Thanks for lemonbalm and Brews - goodnight.

Here's some afternoon Brew

OP posts:
futuredream · 17/05/2012 14:38

Thank you Upward for deliciousBrew ,Hope you are beginning to recover somewhat from holiday , and the resting hasn't been too tiresome . I think of you & our other cybergardeners when I 'm listening to new pieces of classical music < kindergarten level , progressing >

Hope Nilgiri and Showtime are gradually recovering from their bouts of extra activity

Many apologies for absence again - much dormousing needed after bustlings

HF has quite a task to keep up with ndt , Showtime -he adores her but can't completely cure himself of all his competiive mancat behaviour . Very sweet to see her standing up to him , "talking" ,being cheeky with food etc ...ndt pouts and demands cuddles.

Thank you so much for thinking of MIL again - she's really enjoying her chatty , competent carers , and looks transformed now her tube feeding & fluids are managed perfectly (we had no inkling there were any mistakes being made with that , just a striking sense of suddenly being "told" that something risky was happening with MIL - and the prompt care she received was lifesaving . Her newest consultant was a revelation to me , very caring indeed
< cybergarden medal for dedication >

Sorry for essay - pleasant afternoon to us all < ndt visits all for reassurance of his magnificence >

futuredream · 17/05/2012 14:38

"very" competent , that should have been about the carers

futuredream · 17/05/2012 17:24

< flops onto lawn after yet another game of catch >

Brews and fancy apple spritzers

Hope we're all resting buthave a few pleasant distractions

< eyes piles of mess >
< puts up summerhouse screen to show home video of our cyberbeagle's cousins >

futuredream · 17/05/2012 22:13

Evening, good cybergardeners < jumps as froglet hops past summerhouse window >

Hope we're all relatively well , and resting comfortably

Brews and pot of hot chocolate

< kind fairies start quiet moppings and buffings round steamer chairs >

Nilgiri · 17/05/2012 23:33

So good to have such positive news of MIL, futuredream.

I must have heard your kind wishes for restorative sleep, as have been dormousing productively, so to speak. Hope everyone else is getting similar benefit from their rest, and recuperating well from holidays, gardening, etc.

And that beagle video is priceless! Do you think the older one is thinking, "Can we keep him, mum?"

Time for more Brew, kindly made by cybergardeners, then resuming the position.

Showtime · 18/05/2012 10:25

Thanks so much for beagle video, futuredream, really loved it. Sorry it's difficult for me to post at present, but hope other gardeners are doing well.

futuredream · 18/05/2012 12:31

Oh so sorry if you're having a difficult time again , Showtime.< all our most opsitive thoughts & wishes > Thank you for posting , and am so glad you liked the beagles Smile-exactly right about them , Nilgiri

< tucks softest rugs back around favourite dormice >
Sympathies with the vigour of resting . Hope we're all just tired , rather than outright unwell , and all have a very peaceful night

< hands undeservedly- won medal to Nilgiri , much more worthy of it >

I 've just opened my post , Showtime, and am beyond staggered to find a portarit of ndt GrinGrinGrin- proof that he has been at guard duy on your wall . Am astonished & touched by your help with postage of flora - too sniffly at your kindness to know what to say except the most heartfelt of thank yous for your lovelinessThanksThanksThanks

Dormoused & overslept by 3h (!) and was going to meet DM , but she's decided to try to drive over HERE- meaning she might be able to see the late bluebells she missed last visit , due to nasty knee problem .

Hope we all enjoy the cybersun in our garden , with seasonal birdsong .Brews and slightly-sparkling water

futuredream · 18/05/2012 12:33

Oh good griefSad So sorry , don't know how that bit from last night's post that I dozed off writing didn't erase- most insensitive , sorry

Showtime · 18/05/2012 13:00

I felt it was unfair that you'd spent so much time digging up violets, futuredream, then had to pay so much to post them to me.
I usually assume postage will be about a pound, but there were four or five first-class stamps on yours, and it was just lucky that I saw card with black & white cat (and thought of ndt).
Glad your DM will be able to visit you this year, and hope bluebells don't disappoint.
Thanks to all cybergardeners for good wishes and Brews
and hope will soon feel well enough to join in properly again.

Upwardandonward · 18/05/2012 13:06

Here's some afternoon Brew

OP posts:
Showtime · 18/05/2012 14:12

Thank you upward, for reminding me of Brew, which is an excellent idea. Hope you're recovering now from travelling, and are comfortable again at home.
I'm struggling a bit, being awake early and rubbing pain-gel in completely new area, then too tired to get up and/or contact anyone for help. Can relate to futuredream with 3-hour dormousing - most inconvenient for rest of day, and thinking of going back to bed again.

futuredream · 18/05/2012 16:08

Oh sorry to hear about totally new area of pain , Showtime , and as to not feeling able to contact anyone , prerhaps you need further advice with that ? Hope you don't lose all afternoon to dormousuing , likewise Nilgiri

I am totally undeserving of postal help, lovely Showtime - so , so touched

Thank you forBrew,8Upward - hope you're having a good day .

Have been dragging poor , limping DM on bluebell walk and come back to 2 failure notices for my message of thanks to you- so sorry , wil try again to send < eyes workmen's trenches , unsure how broadband is delivered(!) >

futuredream · 18/05/2012 16:11

Eee , that came out so wrong -so sorry to hea , that should have said , and re: the further advice , CAB advise even relatively -bouncing me to ask for help from SS , so I wonder if any system of support where you arefor times of illness or injury .
Hope we all have a lovely late afternoon / evening , and forget my doomy topics
,growing foal prances for cybergardeners >

Upwardandonward · 18/05/2012 16:30

I suddenly feel utterly miserable. Hopefully it'll pass quickly. Hope everyone's doing ok.

OP posts:
Showtime · 18/05/2012 20:22

Poor upward! Wish I could help, but I'm miserable too at present.
Think it's normal to have down days now and then, particularly when not A1 fit, but I do hope you feel better soon. Do you have a list of activities for when depression strikes? Like having a bath, phoning friend, going for walk, painting a door, letter to relative, clearing cupboard, cleaning shoes/jewellery/shower etc. Getting one chore done per day can be a help, and having something to look forward to. Hope it improves soon.

Upwardandonward · 18/05/2012 20:28

Thanks showtime some good advice there :). Sorry you're feeling miserable, hope it clears soon.

OP posts:
Showtime · 18/05/2012 21:46

I'm just unhappy because of health upward, and it occurs to me that you might feel the same way now and again. I know what I should do to help myself, but often just forget about it. I've made plans to go out with a friend tomorrow, and have fingers (and goaty-toes) crossed that I'll be able to get out of bed in time in the morning.... Do you have anything good going on this weekend? If not, is there anyone you could call to arrange something? I notice there's rain due in the morning. but maybe it will clear enough in afternoon to enjoy being outdoors.
