< sweeps fireplace in readiness >

Nilgiri · 11/05/2012 00:41

Oh future, you're so busy this evening! And clearing up after the feline-fuschia interface!

Hope you're getting enough RL rest, as you must be shattered after family party at weekend and now roadworks.

Going to turn in shortly here - and there's nothing left to do as the summerhouse is spotless and elegantly dressed with flowers and warmed throws...

Sleep well all, hope tomorrow is spoon-full and healing for everyone.

< oins another notice reeminding gardeners to check outside of doorlocks to ensure no keys dangling >

Peaceful , healing sleep wishes from me too ... shattered , thank you so much , but still more strength & energy than usual < tries to share out same > and am not so busy at the weekend < frets about Nilgiri and all lovely cybergardeners >
Am happy as Dh and HF and ndt all feeling better Smile - hopes for best possible same for us all < goatiest of toes >

futuredream · 11/05/2012 11:19

Morning , allBrews
Hope we are all as well as possible today , and can enjoy at least a view of outdors or armer air coming in the window

Eeek , have overslept by many hours and ought to be somewhere < ineffectual scurryings >
< beagle enthusiastically seeks friends for playing catch >

Showtime · 11/05/2012 13:14

Morning all, hope we're all feeling ok, and am grateful for continued availability of cybergarden while unable to visit, and all the good wishes posted to shodatin, now replaced by Showtime (general-purpose and repeat-flowering HT rose).
(Throws stick for beagle, having never known one to retrieve before, must encourage him, but soon tires and departs for more rest).

Nilgiri · 11/05/2012 13:33

Ooh, you're beautiful, Showtime. Grin

Sorry you're still under the weather, hope things improved soon.

Glad the futuredream household is rather better at the moment. And yes yes, warmth and actual sunshine here!

I'm so excited I've finally potted the Moroccan mint, which has been basking prettily in a glass for over a week, congratulating itself on not being out in the horrid weather. I was rather afraid one of the other mints hadn't survived my tender ministrations (how? how could I kill mint?), but closer examination reveals all but the exposed end is still "wick", as Dickon puts it in The Secret Garden.

Nilgiri · 11/05/2012 13:34

Upward, good luck for weekend stuff. I wonder if you're on your travels already? Goaty-toes for your weather...

Showtime · 11/05/2012 15:40

Glad Moroccan mint's potted and sorry other one (spearmint, for cooking) is so tiny, but been sulking in pot and will recover (and spread) once outside again.

Glad futuredream's had plenty of energy to cope with repair-men (and lively kitties), and am wishing upward a good holiday and good weather with her family.

kizzie · 11/05/2012 16:05

Good News Alert
Just wanted to let you know that my rhodadendrum (sp??) has flowered!! Thanks
After two years with nothing it looks glorious Smile
Definately worth all the effort.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend x

Nilgiri · 11/05/2012 16:54

Grin at rhododendron news!

Thank you for sharing the excitement, kizzie!

futuredream · 11/05/2012 19:41

So good to see you , Showtime- a glamorous bloom indeed , and so hope she
feels a little less tired soon . Kitties very much happier , HF putting on a fabulous show of warrior womanhood just now , not only braving the thick bank of braamblles ( we like the fruit ) - when tasty and but as we were debatic hacking a way through for her , she began tchomped a way through for herself

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Kizzie- we have been sending venerable shrub our
good wishes all year < clinks Brews with cybergaredeners >

Apologies- had more errands than expected , but enjoyed calling in on ILs during very bright spell, and pottering on sun-baked vegetable
patch < flip flip >

< coos & fusses at happily-potted mint >
Hope you're on the way to a lovely , lovely break , Upward

Argh , more errands < grateful for energy but overambitios >

Showtime · 11/05/2012 20:17

Good news indeed kizzie, and you deserve every flower, cheered on by cybergardeners.

Don't remember anything sunbaked, futuredream, North still near-frozen, so hope upward's having proper holiday weather.

futuredream · 11/05/2012 22:15

Shock I should have checked national forecast , which I usually hear sometime during the day - hope it does indeed improve up there, very shortly ....it was such a change - so dreamlike [that it coloured the rest of the day < rolls up summerhouse movie screen for showing of tropically-set films >
Brews or banana daiquiris

Nilgiri · 12/05/2012 00:27

HF amid the brambles? Shock Minor misjudgement with time-machine, perhaps?

Btw, was smugly congratulating myself last night on not needing to check if key was dangling outside door (as hadn't been out), only to find this morning it was dangling inside door and I hadn't double-locked for the night... But has been could have been much worse.Blush

Hope everyone is safely and snuggly locked up for the night. Sleep well all.

Showtime · 12/05/2012 12:19

Your good wishes for weather seem to have been effective, futuredream, as sun has reappeared in Northern parts, so thankyou for efforts, as usual. Hope you're still enjoying extra energy and coping well with men digging nearby, always a problem.

Seem to remember offering Nilgiri choice of collection of house-keys, if these are still missing, but can't see this anywhere so guess I forgot to press "send", which often happens when short of spoons. Have about a dozen, from HD to larger, and you're welcome to any - could put them on my personal page or try photocopying a sheet to send you if this would help? (Keys added here rather than subtracted from supply, a mystery).

Glad we have fuchsias for cybergarden, toys for HF of course, and would like to have one to prune i nto a standard, if there's a spare anywhere? (Not had them for years, but beautiful plants which will grow large and last if frost'free).

Showtime · 12/05/2012 14:37

Had nearly an hour planting in back border, with so much sun I had to strip off top layer! So pleased to have frost warning from fuchsia people, so thanks again futuredream, have left most fragile flowers & tomatoes in (sunny) garage for a bit longer, and hope I'm starving SoDs. Runty mint is now in border Nilgiri, between Moroccan mint and Lemon Balm, where they can push each other for spreading space, but was amazed at massive root system filling the pot, barely any soil remained so no wonder it was so meagre.
Making Brew and also new favourite, pure orange juice.
(Beagle opens one eye, sighs at lack of biscuits today and settles to sunbathing again)

futuredream · 12/05/2012 18:43

Brew and many apologires for absence - was due at political thing so
couldn't wait for pc glitch to be sorted Sad

Thank you for gloriously summery posts , Showtime , so good to hear
you'v been able to do such a good stint of gardening < cybergaarden
medal > Phew at frost-free seedlingsSmile- definite light
frost here

Hope Nilgiri has a good time with her visitors (obviously not expecting her to post ) , and Upward is on her holiday

< puts out beagle [biscuits] >
Hope you can have a good evening Showtime . Many , many
apologies for not posting properly as have been out far longer than
intended and now doing so again - so grateful to to have had such an
unprecedented burst of energy in recent weeks < passes round spoons ,
optimistically >

What a lovely idea for Nilgiri , would be so good if had matching one !
< ligth ly sparkling summeryBrews >

Showtime · 12/05/2012 21:51

So pleased you're able to do so much these days futuredream, and hope it's all enjoyable as well as useful. I'd forgotten (need emoticon for this) that this is Nilgiri's last visitor weekend, so hope spoons are in good supply.
Best wishes to upward, who just might be able to visit cybergarden while away on holiday, having recently got new electronic gadget.

futuredream · 12/05/2012 23:11

Thank you for sharing my delight , Showtime - indeed , very grateful for such amazingly good patch , but need some serious dormousing this week ...
hope you being very kind to yourself , & trying to have a small treat or spot of decadence such as allowing yourself to watch something trashy instead of a dull chore

Have had some very unexpcted moments of frivolity in recent days , but due to being over-ambitious & not well enough organised , have accidentally been missing time with Dh , who's been having a really hard time & deserves to be made a fuss of < thinks of everyone as a feline >

Thanks for asking about the pipework - the workmen haven't actually needed to come indoors yet , I'm not ready - but will be inat eend of week , I think

Would be lovely if Upward could still pop in to cybergarden whilst
on holiday Smile

HopeNilgiri isn't totally wiped out after visitors
Good nrews here too - ndt's longrunning injury finally really doing excellently (been carefully cleaned & monitored)
Brews & hot choc

Showtime · 13/05/2012 00:03

Good to have news of ndt's injury (feel we've known him a long time) and thanks for reminder to spoil self a bit, must give this some thought.
Thanks also for [brews] & hot choc, goodnight.

Nilgiri · 13/05/2012 00:31

Showtime - cyber keys a great idea! Think I may have rounded up all the old keys now but there's always one.

Hope Upward is having a good weekend.

Sleep well all - wishing us sunshine & spoons the morn.
