Wow! [bugrin]

And with that, to bed. Night all, sleep well.

shodatin · 21/04/2011 23:38

Night TIANC and everyone else. Thinking of you snowmash, sleep well.

cityhobgoblin · 22/04/2011 14:25

Hi, everyone . Sorry to keep falling asleep before saying goodnight . I 'm sure snowmash will find the blend of music & TV we're offering her so far irresistible [busmile]
Fingers crossed, kizzie!
I don't know ,shodatin, but the Eary Music Show is still on at Sunday lunchtimes . I'll look it up (biddy indeed!)
Excellent spring- cleaning ShockTIANC - still frisky here , thank you
Thinking of you , snowmash>
Hope all have a good day

shodatin · 22/04/2011 16:11

Hi hob, and thanks for news of music Sunday lunchtimes - I do look things up but frequently forget to switch on.
A reasonable day here thankyou, but don't like Good Friday since childhood.
Garden has improved with so much attention in this warm weather - oops, will try to post less on this subject. Most of my medical knowledge is based on various types of pain relief, having tried a great many, so can't really make much contribution here, ditto television as I forget to turn that on too...
Hope other people have been doing more interesting stuff for when snowmash looks in again.

madmouse · 22/04/2011 18:08

Hi all sorry for the unfaithfulness

Had some low days and today (always a tough one, Good Friday) I spent on my own in the garden. Mousling was at nursery all day and dh was doing what vicars do on Good Friday - lots

I got all the peeling paint off the garden bench and painted the wood forget me not blue (nice with the metal frame) as well as some pots and planters, did a lot of clearing up and bought and potted lots of new plants (this vicarage comes with a horror of stones slabs decking and gravel as an excuse for a garden, it tends to look a wasteland whatever you try)

hope we're all ok.

Hi madmouse, Your garden must be much improved after a whole day spent working in it - bench sounds lovely, by the way. Are there any actual forget-me-nots nearby? Hope mood is improved too, and you can enjoy the rest of Easter despite DH working.

Hello Pixie L, have been imagining you dashing around being busy with the family; it never occurred to me that DD might be in hospital, and so sorry about this. Hope she's at home again soon, if not already.

Hello snowmash, hope you can look in soon, and that life is improving for you. [busad] for snowmash

snowmash · 23/04/2011 00:15

Sleepy Brew and drugged hugs for all

ThisIsANiceCage · 23/04/2011 00:49

Hi there.

Pixie L so sorry DD's been back in hospital. Hope she's home again now, or at least improving.

Ooh, madmouse, bench sounds beautiful. Don't fancy doing mine, do you? [buwink] Good luck with the planters, sounds a clever answer.

snowmash, hope your day has been bearable. Wonder which sort of sung services you enjoy?

Oof, have too late and tired to be coherent (after good day), so to everyone. Night night all, sleep very well.

ThisIsANiceCage · 23/04/2011 00:52

Good to see you, about to join you in Sleepy Land.

(((hugs)))

shodatin · 23/04/2011 10:12

Missed you last night snowmash, but am returning hugs and hope this will be a good day for you, and with fewer side-effects.
Weather forecast here is for showers later, so will get outside while it's still possible.

snowmash · 23/04/2011 10:13

Sleepy Brew and drugged hugs for all (I wrote that around midnight but it didn't post).

Still feel drugged this morning, hard for other people who haven't taken them to understand I think).

I hope everyone has a lovely long weekend.

snowmash · 23/04/2011 10:16

Pixie, I hope dd feels better soon :( is some of it weather related?

Tianc I like traditional/Anglo catholic sung services (bur also like worship song type ones - only think I am really uncomfortable with is charismatic).

I hope you have a good time outside, shodatin

madmouse · 23/04/2011 10:28

Hi snowmash it did post earlier, I saw it

Sorry that you are still so sleepy - but pray it means that the meds are working.

ThisIsANiceCage · 23/04/2011 12:52

Good to see you again, snowmash. Sorry about the perpetually druggy feeling. Ughh, not v pleasant. Hope it wears off soon.

Gosh, I imagine Oxford is fab for that type of music, with all the college choirs.

Don't know if you can access it, but R3 Choral Evensong is available on iPlayer, as shodatin suggested.

Hope the rain holds off till evening for you, shodatin.

shodatin · 23/04/2011 12:54

Greetings snowmash! I think you're doing amazingly well to be posting around 10a.m., despite feeling drugged up with the meds, and can only hope you get used to them and feel more lively as time goes on.
Am entirely with you about the music, by the way, and can enjoy it any time, also get a great deal from the Quaker silent worship so am pleased to have both, however unorthodox. Hope you do have access to radio programmes.

Despite good intentions, am still stuck indoors, just glad I can get out later.
An elderly friend wrote today of her pleasure in going to the hospital from her residential home, and how she'd enjoyed all the blossoming trees en route, which reminded me how lucky people are just to be outdoors, so I really hope you can get there for at least part of Easter.

kizzie · 23/04/2011 18:34

Hi snowmash - hope the side effects start to wear off really soon x

Hope you are starting to feel better too madmouse.

My 'break' from the blip only lasted a few days - but Im starting afresh today with a list of 'self help tools' to hopefully help me progress. Fingers STILL crossed.

My 'Mantra' (if you could call something so wooly that) - is just to try and improve each symptom by 10%. So not try to fix it completely - just make it a bit better. And then another 10%...and then another 10%. i mean how hard can that be really ?????

And then at least if i end up back at the drs begging for more help - i wont be able to say that i didnt try hard enough.... AND I will have really tested my 'catastrophising' - ie if I dont do something about this TODAY/NOW - its the end of the world Hmm Blush

Anyway - sorry for waffling. DS's totally absorbed by Dr Who.

Happy Easter to you all for tomorrow. And special [busmile] [busmile] for you snowmash.

xx

cityhobgoblin · 23/04/2011 19:18

Hi , very sorry for not posting but a bit rushed about- great to see you snowmash ... I imagine the drugged up feeling must be all pervading ( can't find the right phrase). Hope you have friends on the ward who can empathise where we can't always be much use.
Very interesting to hear your musical likes & yours ,shodatin, & I hope you can hear the radio link TIANC posted (thanks for lovely iced Brew, hygienically covered).

Really sorry to hear DD had to go back in ,((( pixie))), sending thoughts / prayers.

That sounds a very therapeutic way to spend Good Friday , madmouse , & the bench & planters sound beautiful. Hope you enjoy tomorrow's service.

Your mantra sounds brilliant, kizzie - I'll try that approach with things I need to improve , if you don't mind. Sorry it's still so challenging , but you are doing amazingly well & really inspiring me.

Hope you made it outdoors shodatin before the rain came.

cityhobgoblin · 23/04/2011 19:39

PS Happy Easter to you kizzie and all on the thread, especially snowmash

ThisIsANiceCage · 23/04/2011 21:26

Shh, look! Over there, no, there, in the undergrowth! Rubbing its neck on kizzie's rhododendron.

The cybergarden has a Dragon!

Do you think it'll nest?

shodatin · 23/04/2011 21:29

Thanks to TIANC for news of iplayer link, useful if I miss it (again).
Wishing success to kizzie with her clever system for small improvements, and hope I can remember it for future use.
I did get outside hob,(to set up supports and protection for tomatoes) but in true British fashion, the weather forecast was unreliable and no rain arrived..

Hope we all have a Happy Easter and that snowmash gets an Easter egg
(or a chocolate Dragon if preferred}

Wondering why we have one available and am baffled by this new item.

shodatin · 23/04/2011 22:27

Too tired to keep eyes open - night all; sleep well

ThisIsANiceCage · 23/04/2011 23:41

Dragon is for St George's day, apparently. But I'm worried for him/her - I remember how that story ends... Shock Has own thread now, too.

kizzie admiring your clever plan - sounds like you've covered all the bases.

Thinking of you all, but sleepy here too. Night night to you lovely people, hope we sleep well.

shodatin · 24/04/2011 10:56

Thanks -again- to TIANC, this time for dragon news, which I missed thru one of those printing delays, and too tired to make connection with St.George's Day. I guess they don't come in chocolate after all.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter. Radio 3 and chocolate not the best-ever Easter morning, but good all the same, particularly with sunshine and socialising due. Hope there is something special available on the ward, *snowmash.

kizzie · 24/04/2011 18:17

Thanks everyone for all your kind encouragement. Todays been a bit of a struggle so very lovely to see your support.

Anyway will stop blethering now as this is snowmash's thread. Hope you managed to get some of the Easter fresh air today - even if was only through open windows x Its been great to see a few messages from you this week - hopefully more coming in the next few days.

Ive been getting to grips with twitter - using it as a bit of easy access distraction. not a clue what Im doing :-) xx
