We filled up your thread, snowmash! So here's another one.

Neither weather nor circumstance seems to be cooperating at the moment, so I thought we could do with a virtual garden to sit out in.

shodatin has started work already:
"we don't lose anything to the frost here, and nobody thieves our daffs and precious bay trees. Most days will be sunny I think, but sometimes we have rain at night, particularly when we've done some planting..."

And I think it needs a summer house with a chiminea or the like to sit round after dark and toast our tootsies.

Thanks, snowmash. I get trouble with banks / officialdom for it. They think I'm being shirty. Hmm

So did you have this beautiful sun where you are?

Yes, we had a fair day. People are still trying to convince the hospital to turn off the heating :s feel sorry for the staff.

Night all, sleep well!

cityhobgoblin · 26/03/2011 00:12

Night, pixie. I fret about your lack of access to light and air, so glad you got outdoors for a bit.Thank you for Brews all round.

TIANC, you raise the issue that's at the very front of my mind atm - I simply haven't got the energy any more to sound "normal" and patient. I couldn't even be like a fit person's "everyday" yesterday for my mum's birthday, let alone convincingly cheery sounding, even though I felt fine.. ..so I really , really sympathise. I know what it is to have people Hmm at you for being "shirty!" ( doctors, anyone) I've made big life decisions based on my inability to remain patient. (me, me, me) . Hope you find a magical extra coping strategy.
( btw ,it occurs to me that training methods for banks etc emphasise a "robust" , zero tolerance form of communication without providing much training in insight for the staff member ...some phrases /tones of voice automatically trigger a negative response, I find ..there are no shades of grey available!).sound charming, don't I.

Sorry, must leave you in peace - I ought to be asleep. It's brilliant that you're talking things over, snowmash ash , and I'm sorry that it will take some time before you can fully understand what everyone means .
Peaceful night to all.

Oh lordy, hob, could start a whole thread about all that. In fact, we probably should, when you're little less busy (if you ever are Grin.

Hope you're mum's b/day went well apart from energy-droop!

Blimey, snowmash, they do like you all toasty.

Btw, do you think it might help to tell the nurse what you told us, that you find it difficult to cope with being ordered about, but gentle pressure is easier to agree with? (Don't know how good staff are, but that at least gives them the chance to get it right.)

But I'm actually a bit scared for you atm...

Because deceiving the doctors could cause a very real accident. They might see you're not benefitting from the meds, and up the dose or even change you to something less compatible with your other meds - and change to liquid to ensure you take it. Or they might believe you're tolerating something well when you're actually just not taking it.

They could make bad decisions and end up hurting you by accident.

There's even a possibility they'd be blamed, when it wasn't their fault because they didn't know.

Please could you at least tell the doc if you're not going to take the drugs?

Anyway, that's for the morning. Hope you're fast asleep by now. I'm heading there meself. Smile

Morning all, including snowmash. Hope we all have good days in the sun, it's lovely here now

snowmash · 26/03/2011 13:28

Maybe they do pixie, not sure. One of the hcas said they write down everything we say/do, so maybe because I've talked to others just not nurses.

I hope football and ballet went well

shodatin · 26/03/2011 16:08

Been thinking about you, hob, and hoping all went well today (not seen or heard any news as usual).
Hope snowmash had a good day too, and has sorted out the meds now.

ThisIsANiceCage · 26/03/2011 19:15

Er, morning.Blush Was there a Saturday?

Apparently the world has been quite busy while I slept. Smile

snowmash sooo relieved to hear your records are up to date. Did you get any sun there today, cos it's been grey and rainy here?

I'm wondering how hob got on, and if she was rained on... Hope you get back safely, m'dear, and can crash out for a few days.

I'm mainlining tea as clearly behind on the day. Usually reach Fill Level some time after dinner.

(Aaargh! Just had to correct passes s. And spotted a "you're your" from last night. I think the zombies ate just the spelling part of my brain... Blush)
