Hi Snowmash - did they keep you in in the W? It may be the best place for now. I'm sure you will feel a lot less scared and worried soon. Thinking of you. And if you want a visit pm me and I will sort it out xx

madmouse · 18/02/2011 20:09

section 2 means they can keep you in to assess whether you are ok and treat you if necessary.

snowmash · 18/02/2011 20:11

Treat if necessary as in make me take tablets? :( and yes in w.

Sorry it's all so scary, snowmash. Sad I don't know what a Section 2 is either, but if it means you're stuck in hospital for a bit, at least it's a chance to get your new meds stablised. No fun, but a good move long-term.

Sooooo glad you still have internet access - we ain't going nowhere and we like your company!

And now, have just got up from a nap, Pudding-Man has arrived, and I must help w supper (sausages - but only if I get off MN long enough to cook em).

shodatin · 18/02/2011 20:21

Hi snowmash, Don't worry, nothing awful will happen, it just means they think you need help at the moment and for that, you need to be in hospital.
Thanks for letting us know where you are - I was wondering when we didn't hear from you after your appointment.

snowmash · 18/02/2011 20:32

nihilistic is a complex term with different meanings including being very self-destructive, wanting to make yourself disappear, believing that nothing matters or that nothing is absolute. It's a word that really needs a context.

shodatin · 18/02/2011 20:55

Sorry snowmash, I did look it up but still not really understanding, is there anyone at the hospital who would explain?
Thanks for your good wishes for this evening, but we're more concerned about how you are.
Have you eaten anything yet?

shodatin · 18/02/2011 21:00

Pixie, it seems a long time ago since you told me about the exploding fishcakes, but they do sound good, and completely original to me.
Did you invent them or is there a recipe?
(I know this is snowmush's thread, and no-one else will be interested in food, so apologies
but I would like to know).

snowmash · 18/02/2011 21:03

Not a diagnosis - just that when I didn't understand why section one of the people said it would be useless to explain due to my nihilistic thinking at the mo. Thankyou madmouse.
I have eaten peas.
I shouldn't be in hosp

And can't have explained properly :(

Right, fed (always interested in food, shodatin, so just as intrigued by the exploding fishcakes! Peas also good - must remember those more often).

I think you probably explained fine, snowmash. But we go to the doctor because they know more than we do and diagnose things we wouldn't have expected.

So I agree with Pixie that trusting the doctors is the only way forward. Even if it's hard. Sad

Most importantly, have you secured a supplyline of Brew? Wink

snowmash I hope you get some sleep. Let me know if you need anything.

ThisIsANiceCage · 18/02/2011 22:41

DP now fishcake-aware! Thanks for the tip-off, Pixie. Grin

shodatin · 18/02/2011 22:43

Thankyou for fishcake information, and they'll taste even better on offer.

Snowmash, it must be difficult as well as inconvenient to be confined in hospital, but the other posters are right to say that the doctors/psych are doing their best to help you, however it seems right now.
I'm sure you will have enough opportunity to discuss your points of view and will find it easier to understand why you're there as time goes on.

If I can send you anything, please let me know.
