Oh no Snowmash , appalled for you if your former mentor was hinting at that . What a serious impairment of judgement s/he must suffer from, to mention that when you're dealing with so much as it is.
Sorry to butt in, as you don't know me, but I suspect many regulars on the MH board saw the start of your thread and have been willing you on, and I'm one of them.
Wishing you a peaceful night and a better day tomorrow.

Ah,I didn't see your goodnight message there before I posted- didn't mean to echo you!

Night snowmash, try not to worry about it now as there's nothing you can do -
hope you sleep well, and everyone else.

Night everyone - I have a child with chickenpox and very high stress levels (not all due to chickenpox, that was just last straw)

so here's to sleep!

Thank you cityhobgoblin , it's good of you to come and comment. I hope you had a good night.

shodatin I hope you got good sleep.

tianc I hope yours was pain free and you can sit up today

Pixie I hope DD2 and the rest ofthe family are coping, and DD2 gets home soon (I'll peek at the thread)

madmouse sorry to hear about the chickenpox (virtual calamine) and the unrelated stress :( I hope the weekend improves.

I'm irritable as I got to sleep after 4am. Minor though - just worried that everyone will be laughing at me today as I soaked the bed :(

Many thanks Snowmash- sorry for your disturbed night . Well said, madmouse! If anyone is mean enough to tease you about your little accident, ask yourself if they're protesting too much! I have these accidents quite regularly myself and I'm sure all of us who do,worry about hospital stays for that reason alone.

Hope you can regain some feeling of emotional steadiness today. Are your nurses available to chat with about trying to improve your experiencess of life on the ward in between therapeutic sessions? I know that sounds ludicrously idealistic compared with most units.

You could ask your friends on this thread to join you in each planning something to look forward to in the coming months, however complex your limitations might be, as you badly need a treat.

Morning all, and welcome to citygoblin for an excellent idea. Poor snowmash, you must have been really upset and stressed out to have this happen, but its over now and no-one will think any worse of you because it could happen to any of us while unwell. All best wishes for madmouse and Pixie L with sick children to worry about - hope things improve.

Thanks madmouse... Just v embarrassing (particularly as it was a case of sit there as you have to go out the room to get someone). I think it happened as I'm getting grabbed a lot by new ptients from behind, so was having very bad flashback/nightmare last night. :(

cityhobgoblin really good idea but the ward is in crisis - little chance of a shower at the mo, never mind ground leave or a talk (all engaged in needed behav management).

I can't 'see' the coming months - even next week is hard. Tomorrow maybe?

Morning shodatin - hope you have a good day and agree about good wishes for children!

snowmash oh no Sad at the being grapped from behind - I find that one so so hard too. Even a very dear and trusted friend putting his coat over my shoulders when I was ill got me....but when you are already in an unsafe and vulnerable environment it's double trouble Sad

Thanks madmouse, I knew you'd empathise with that :( trouble is a lot happens in the dining room that one can't stay away from.

I want to be outside, but outside to get away from here, which is hard as the probability of that is zero.

Will need to charge phone at some point too.

I would love to Pixie, trouble is my concentration is shot - even with the Papers I'm ending up reading the headlines.

I have had a sudden thought though - surely I'll be released in 12 days anyway and then it won't affect anyone that I shouldn't be using the nhs? :)

Slightly odd suggestion snowmash - but when I havent been able to concentrate on anything - even basic reading - Ive done paint by numbers Blush. I find it quite good distraction without having to actually think.

Aww, I'm sure yours will look good if you can get the peace and quiet!

I'm feeling somewhat sombre as apparently you aren't automatically released at the end of a section. :(

It's because the Drs don't yet understand that I shouldn't be being treated (and the suicidality, although that's a little better)
