It's my fault that the NHS is too expensive

and I can't do anything about it :(

There are used to patients doing things like that snowmash, all the time. It's the nature of your illness (and mine). I wasn't taking my medication properly until recently and I felt awful. Up all night, crying, wanting to make it all end. Now I am taking them properly, I feel so much better - normal even - well as normal as I ever get! Wink

You will not be in trouble - they will be worried for you and how you are feeling without your medication.

Please go back and get it.

shodatin · 13/02/2011 12:24

And please listen to nemofish, makes sense.

snowmash · 13/02/2011 12:39

I will have to see if I can ring this evening - it takes me an hour to get there, so I can't just go (and it is a very, very busy 90-bed ward who don't have reception staff at the weekends, so I have no idea where to go and don't want to disturb them if they've thrown them away).

Or I will have to make a GP appointment tomorrow, and that is wasting even more money :(

Definitely not a waste. You have a right to happiness and health.

shodatin · 13/02/2011 13:54

Or the crisis team could sort it out if you were to phone them, which would save you the journey, as you're not A1 fit, and this is what they do anyway - just an idea

ThisIsANiceCage · 13/02/2011 13:56

Howdy all.

So glad to see you around today, snowmash. Sorry we were all a bit scary yesterday.

Really glad you're sorting out your meds. Bet they just think you forgot them - they're used to dealing with the likes of me (Queen of Lost Property Blush).

snowmash · 13/02/2011 15:17

I can't do it. Too wobbly/headache, and trying to work out the conflicting statements isn't working. I'm going to sleep til tomorrow.

OP posts:
ThisIsANiceCage · 13/02/2011 15:30

Have a good nap, snowmash.

The longer you're off your meds, the more you must expect to deteriorate (like a diabetic). So when you've rested a bit, please please call the crisis team or hosp to get hold of your medicine ASAP.

shodatin · 13/02/2011 15:59

Snowmash, I do hope you feel better after the nap, and I'm glad you're planning to get your meds back, however you decide to do it.

I'd go get them myself, but it's a bit too far.
Is there anything anyone else can do to help?

Hey Pixie, good to see you. Smile Hope next week is a bit less busy for you.

Just popping in to say goodnight, hope everyone gets some decent rest. Fresh new day and week tomorrow.

Sleep well, all.

Night all, sweet dreams!

ThisIsANiceCage · 14/02/2011 10:41

Mornin' all. Hope everyone's rested.

Quiet day for me, I think. I've overdone things recently and thought I'd got away with it, but no. So I'm curled up waiting for my body to catch up. So much to do, but if I stretch the rope any further I'll crash big-time.

ThisIsANiceCage · 14/02/2011 10:44

Blardy hell! What happened to the Brew?!

One minute it's a dainty little teacup, the next a steaming great mug! Saw me coming, then! GrinGrinGrin

shodatin · 14/02/2011 11:06

Hi there TIANC, so sorry you're overdone, but at least you can listen to your body today and have a break - enjoy. Painfree is really good too. Am also glad I can stay home and potter.

Good morning smowmash, Hope you're rested and have decided best way to get your meds. I think there will be some relieved people in the NHS if you're taking them as advised, as well as us nagging lot. Hope all goes well for you today.

And hello again Pixie, glad you and your good sense are back again.

Have to go and get stuff done, but will be here on and off.

ThisIsANiceCage · 14/02/2011 13:43

Hey there, snowmash, do just pop in and say hi, won't you?

Sorry, hi. I am very guilty/ :( now. Earlier I emailed someone to say I had probably hurt someone with my tablets and why, helped a little but doesn't now.

OP posts:
ThisIsANiceCage · 14/02/2011 15:36

Hiya, nothing to feel guilty about - it's just lovely to hear from you. Smile

Anybody fancy some Brew and a Biscuit?

snowmash · 14/02/2011 15:47

I'm guilty about my tablets - anyone could have picked them up and taken them. :(

Brew sounds good, thanks - wish I could in RL.

OP posts:
ThisIsANiceCage · 14/02/2011 15:57

Bummer, are you not able to make drinks at the mo? Or just out of milk?

snowmash · 14/02/2011 15:59

I was supposed to be having day surgery today, didn't go because I shouldn't. Cancelled carers because of the surgery.

OP posts:
shodatin · 14/02/2011 15:59

I wish you could in real life too snowmash, but meanwhile, can you confirm you've got your tablets back, or new ones?
And please don't feel guilty, you have enough problems without inventing a few more!

Good idea TIANC, a hot brew in a mug..I think someone mentioned that few of us were using
polite cups and saucers, so we're now updated.
