How are you feeling now becky? Hope you're not struggling too much today.

I am feeling really headachey Sad Hope I'm not coming down with DH's lurgy Angry

Have politely asked him if perhaps he'd like to sleep in the spare room tonight and he agreed. So here's hoping for a better night for me!

I do feel quite positive, despite a not great night, so perhaps I have come a long way. It was only a few months ago really that I would be seriously panicking if DH kept me awake with shivering and groaning!

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/11/2010 16:43

I keep making spelling mistakes which in my line of work is not good! I'm tired. Trying not to worry though. Trying really hard not to worry.

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/11/2010 16:44

Having to read, and edit so it makes sense, things such as this is giving me a headache:

The seventh idea basic to Plato concerns the risk dimension of establishing truth. Because the initial thing to be explained gives the measure for the explaining principles and factors, one can find truth only after encountering the things that need to be explained. However, as pointed out, even to recognize the facts, one must already know something of the truth about them. The standard of that truth, however, is still given by the things it is the truth of, the things people encounter that it explains. As a result, one finds the truth of the thing or issue only after the fact, but one also finds it out only by trying out assumption one already has. That is, one finds it out only by taking risks.

GetDownYouWillFall · 11/11/2010 16:49

Oh man what IS that? Confused

I can't get beyond the first line!

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/11/2010 17:23

Hideous work! It's an abstract for a chapter of some very high-brow academic philosophy book.

Given up on work now.

madmouse · 12/11/2010 07:02

Morning all

Been up since 5.30 so think I'll go to work in a minute. Looks like cycling in this wind will wake me up!

DH pushed me over in bed I guess because I was noisy in my sleep and I decided to go to the guestroom but was totally awake. I'm feeling really rough after yet another hard counselling session and I'm worried about one or two people I'm close to and my thoughts just ran off.

Oh well it's Friday!

Hope you all slept ok xx

Hi madmouse sorry to hear about your bad night. I can't remember if you've got Paul McKenna or not? I find when I've got stuff running through my head it helps to listen to the CD, to give me something else to focus on?

Hopefully tonight will be better for you and that work will distract you today from your worries.

My DH slept in the spare room last night, and I had a lovely night's sleep! From 10pm - 5am, then slept again till 7.

Also I am quietly excited because this is my fourth night in a row without ANY mirtazapine. I am not telling anyone, not even DH - so only you ladies know.

Previously I have never got beyond 3 nights without having a sleep melt down.... I am hoping I might finally be off it. But not holding my breath!

yeah GetDown!

I slept well last night - DH and I were in bed at 10pm and we both slept until 5am and I then dozed until 6.30am.

Busy weekend ahead for me: football match tomorrow and DS1 and DS3 family birthday tea on Sunday (DS3 is one on Sunday!!!!)

GetDownYouWillFall · 12/11/2010 18:48

happy birthday to your DSs becky!! Hope you have a lovely birthday tea.

I am fretting about DD's birthday. She is already talking about her "party" - I haven't organised anything, and am too anxious to have a big thing in case it all goes wrong!!

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/11/2010 19:33

When is her birthday? I know how you feel about the party thing - I find children's parties really stressful. This year I've avoided it with DS1 as instead we are going to the football match with his two best friends (note that it is me going not DH!). I don't think I'll be able to avoid it with DS2 (birthday in March) he's been planning his 'party' for months now.

GetDownYouWillFall · 12/11/2010 19:59

4th December.

Football match? Wow well done!

I would be very Confused at a football match.

GetDownYouWillFall · 13/11/2010 10:47

Hi all

Hope you are all ok?

Woke up at 3am and 6am

Ah well feel like I got enough sleep overall.

BeckyBendyLegs · 13/11/2010 11:07

Took me a while to get to sleep as DS3 crying and DH is trying to wean him off his 'dumdum'. I find it really hard to hear him crying, even though DH was going in every 5 mins to reassure him. But once asleep, I was asleep for the night until 7.30am on the dot when I heard DS1 doing a wee! Football match today - hooray! Wish me luck!

madmouse · 13/11/2010 14:06

Getdown I always get quite surprised at the fuss made of young children's birthday parties in this country. Nathan will have something small and easy for his third, possibly just all our and his friends coming to eat cake, he loves the attention.

Becky hope it goes well today!

Well I sure got enough hours of sleep but it doesn't seem to have been very restful. We are doing a songs of praise night with the band so will need some energy!

I'm back. What fun! What an atmosphere! It was Stafford Rangers we went to see - they lost 3 to 1 to Hinkley but it was such a laugh!

GetDownYouWillFall · 14/11/2010 08:13

How did last night go madmouse?

Happy birthday to becky's DS!!! Well, becky you are officially no longer in the "post-natal" phase!! Congratulations! Hopefully this means sleep will be sorted from now on! (although, I still have my wobbles!)

So, are you feeling broody still Wink

madmouse · 14/11/2010 09:22

Have a good day Becky

How did you sleep Getdown?

Last night went ok thanks, despite a rather small turnout - apparently there was lots going on elsewhere, plus until we stood down our worship leaders (of 25 years standing)last year this type of events could be rather cringe inducing so I guess we have a legacy. But we sounded good. I was shattered after as (including rehearsal) I was on my feet playing and singing for 3 hours). Am still struggling but managed to hide it from everyone except my friend and a lady who knows me quite well.

We're off to the zoo later - it's remembrance in church today - a difficult service to sit through with a little one, and it was MIL's birthday Friday - she died June last year - and she loved the zoo so we are going in her memory.

Hope you all have a good day.

GetDownYouWillFall · 14/11/2010 09:40

Have a lovely day at the zoo madmouse. It's rememberance at our church too, I'm going to take DD out to creche though.

Well done for last night and for seeing it through.

Not a great night for me. I have hurt my neck (goodness knows how) and it was really hard to get comfy.

Also we had a power cut in the night and it reset my bedside clock. I woke up in the night thinking it was time to get up - took my temp for my chart and was then wide awake.

Must have fallen back asleep again.

Looking at my thermometer this morning the reading was ridiculously low so think I must have taken it about 3am!! Ooops!

BeckyBendyLegs · 14/11/2010 12:24

Have a good time at the zoo madmouse.

GetDown sorry to hear about your neck. You nocturnal temperature taking activities made me laugh!

Getting ready for DS1's famly do here. DH doing all the cooking / preparing food. I've decorated the house with fairy lights and baby pictures of DS3. DS3 is being really, really grumpy today. He just wants to be held all day. DH has him now so I can have a break / go to the loo. Ah well. Strange to think this time last year I was lying on a bed in the hospital watching my contractions on one of those contraction monitoring thingys and thinking 'I hope they give me something to eat for lunch, can't do this on an empty stomach!'

BeckyBendyLegs · 15/11/2010 17:29

Hellloooo! Wakey wakey you lot!

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/11/2010 18:33

Hiya becky! How did the family party go?

I had a night of lots of waking up last night. Ah well. Feel ok today. Apart from my neck, which is still killing me.

Am debating whether I've got some EWCM today Blush

Think so, but DH is out tonight Angry

BeckyBendyLegs · 15/11/2010 19:47

GetDown you are funny! Set your alarm for 3am and get down to some special cuddles then :)

The party was brill and I was soooo tired last night.

DS2 went out with a friend from nursery on Saturday and then she came down with a bug yesterday and now her mum has the bug today (and I spoke to them both today!). So I'm trying not to get all panicky about sickness bugs going through the family. Calm. Calm.

GetDownYouWillFall · 15/11/2010 20:23

Yes, set my alarm for 3am for some "special cuddles" What a good ide.... hang on a minute.....

Glad you had a good party.

Don't panic about the bug, it probably won't happen!

BeckyBendyLegs · 17/11/2010 07:14

Helloooo! We must all be sleeping so well! Arcadia I assume you are doing well as you do what I do, go quiet when the going is good. I'm sleeping good too - a bit tossy and turny in the early hours and strange dreams but I can live with that. GetDown how about you? Did you wake up your DH at 3am for a bit of How's Your Father? Madmouse how are you doing? I hope you are ok xx Orangeflutie you've been quiet too! Hellooo!
