Hello,

Yes stil here! Struggling too. Hanging around 10 but feel in a good place this week. My aim is 9.12 a week on Friday which is when we go away. My main problem is my all or nothing at the moment. It's either a perfect day or an awful day. Nothing in between!!

How are you feeling? Are you daily weighing at the moment? It's so hard this time of year with no routine and lots of socials! Don't be hard on yourself, you have had a great year. A small blip is fine if it doesn't spiral! How are your plans looking?

Smartmove · 12/08/2025 14:37

Hi @Bubbles44 glad it’s not just me!
no I don’t do well daily weighing I either stress if it’s high. Or I think it’s ok to overeat if it’s lower! So sticking / going back to twice a week - at start and end

my issue is social events I seem to have had family over or been to see family or had dinners meals etc or weekends away and so Everytime I gain a few water pounds I spend week loosing it but then each week a little gain has now massively added up!!!

today the heat has massively helped I’m not hungry and prob ending on 1000

I have dinner and drinks with friends on Friday but I’m not drinking!!! I think I’ve drunk a lot more than I usually do which is also adding up cals and part of the problem.

@Bubbles44 glad ur keeping under 10, keep thinking of ur bikini ! (If u going away to a beach!)

Yes I think daily weighing isn't good for me either. It's hard to break the habit. I'm just in such a rut at the moment, need to properly figure it out in September!! Yes keep thinking of how much better I'll feel on holiday if I have a good week and half!

Sounds like a good day, just set small targets each week and you'll achieve them if it's not too overwhelming hopefully.

hollyblueivy · 13/08/2025 06:57

Hello ladies!

I think it’s the summer holidays, it throws everything out the window!

I am not in track at the moment. I was 11:2 last time I weighed but haven’t been near the scales much as I know they won’t say what I want them to.

I will join in the two times per week weigh - what days are you doing?

Exercise has mostly been walking so need to pick up on the running and gym again, but baby steps are needed so I don’t get overwhelmed trying to do everything at once!

Smartmove · 13/08/2025 08:07

Yes @Bubbles44 emall achievable goals is the way fwd! And u can loose all ur bloat in 1.5 weeks so stay focussed and don’t go into holiday mode too early!

im weighing Monday and Friday mainly.

yest was a good day. Today will be same I hope! We all know thought it’s not just a few good days but keeping those habits permanently and consistently. But anyways one day at a time!

yoghurt berries
egg salad
puy lentils and cod
arm workout and a brisk walk on treadmill

big test on Friday - no alchol at friends. I’ll drive there so hopefully will help! (Unless hubby says he will drive us back and u have a drink!)

Bubbles44 · 13/08/2025 20:58

Hello, hope it's been a good day for you both! The heat!!! Unfortunately it doesn't stop my appetite! But it's been a good day. Run, gym and lots of busy activities with kids. I've bought lots of holiday clothes too so im hoping that'll keep me on track too!

Yes @hollyblueivy school holidays are hard. It's starting to feel like it's always hard. Don't know if it's getting older or what, but just sometimes wish I didn't have to constantly have guilt around food. But I like to feel good so we keep going I guess and accept some weeks are impossible and some are easy!

Hope you've both had a good day. Are you feeling in a better mindset now @Smartmove are you feeling positive about Friday weigh in? Good luck for not drinking!

Smartmove · 13/08/2025 21:49

Yes good day here
1270 cals and small workout
hungry but ignoring it

will do same tmrw. Will weigh on sat this week as ill think its ok to drink on Friday ow!

Hi girls how r u all?

today not been great. My brekfast was off! Which lead to be emergency buying brekfast and throw me off

anyways ending in at 1600 which is maintence cals. I’m trying to gain some energy to go to gym to just do a lazy workout as my steps are only 2000 today but I’m feeling so wiped out!!! Shouldn’t have had that icecream which pushed my cals up!

anyways fasting starts now, eat again 930

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 14/08/2025 18:01

1600 is still pretty decent. Hope the scale is kind on Saturday and that you have a nice evening tomorrow without it being crazy. Is the rest of your weekend quiet?

Good day here. Totally aware that tomorrow off work and the weekend could throw me, but I've planned so I'm determined to be disciplined for once as haven't really got much on.

Hope your week is going ok @hollyblueivy ?

Smartmove · 14/08/2025 18:11

I did a lazy gym session on the pelaton. No weights suppose better than nothing hopefully just under maintence (but not much) think 1600 is my maintence

I have a mad weekend with friends over !!!! It’s sunny and we having drinks and food in garden positives r I’ve chosen nice healthy meals which I can eat. If I need to snack I’m home so can choose healthy things. I can’t promise to not drink though!!!! But tmrw I’m coming on here post my friends telling u I stayed strong :)

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 14/08/2025 18:16

Sounds a nice weekend so definitely enjoy. And plan your indulgences so it doesn't go crazy. That's the advice I wish I could take anyways! And think about Monday morning you. Hope it goes well!

Well done for work out. Motivation is hard in the heat. The thing that keeps me going to the gym is it has great air con!

hollyblueivy · 15/08/2025 08:30

10:13:9 here so back into the 10’s only just!

The weekend is likely to be a mixed bag. I’ll be good where I can and from Monday will try to get back into eating routine abs working out.

Smartmove · 15/08/2025 21:41

Well done for being back in the 10s ! That’s fab

i will weigh tmrw. Today I didn’t drink Whoopy. But I ate so many cals I may as well have! Cross at myself :(
tmrw more social stuff

kinda want summer to be done so I can be boring and loose these pounds! Will report back tmrw

Smartmove · 16/08/2025 07:43

Bubbles44 · 16/08/2025 09:14

Back in the 10's @hollyblueivy that's great. Hope you have a great weekend and positive plan going into next week!

Well done last night @Smartmove sticking to no drinking which seemed your main goal. I'd take it a win still being in the 9's after lots of treats last night. Have a good one and you can stay sensible. So hard with a house full of people!

9.12, feel ok at the moment just need to try and stay on a track for the next week!

hollyblueivy · 17/08/2025 17:40

You’re both doing great, I agree I kind of want to get the summer over to just concerned on eating well and exercise!

I’ve been eating lots today. Had alcohol and curry over the weekend too so next week is not likely to be good on the scales. A good time was had though which was actually really needed so it’s swings and roundabouts.

The rubbing has tailed off a bit so hoping to try for a super gentle but long run tomorrow.

hollyblueivy · 17/08/2025 17:40

Running

Bubbles44 · 17/08/2025 18:38

Yes I agree about summer, so lovely but change in routine is hard. I know I'll have loads of work to do after this holiday. Hope I can get back into it ok.

Was doing ok this weekend but then kids kept bickering and moaning this afternoon so my frustration definitely drove me to eat more than I should have.

I'm sure you'll claw it back this week @hollyblueivy with some gentle exercise and a good couple of days. Are you still taking creatine? Would you recommend?

Hope you've had a good weekend @Smartmove

Bubbles44 · 18/08/2025 16:54

Good day, quite low but making up for yesterday, had even more rubbish after posting yesterday. Aim is 9.12 on Friday. Not sure when to weigh next!

Hope it's been a good day for you both!

Smartmove · 18/08/2025 18:37

Good day today 1250 and all home made salads and food

Weekend was very wine filled and then full of carbs yest for hangover! My trousers feel tight and I was too scared to weigh.

I’ll weigh once this week I think on sat before I go away for a week . Unless i feel like im faltering and need a shock! I’m def over 10 stone though today if i had weighed

OP posts:
Smartmove · 19/08/2025 16:01

1300 but higher carbs than I hoped
workout done but no steps
feeling very bloated still
unsure about weighing. May try Thursday still too scared!!!

Bubbles44 · 20/08/2025 15:28
