Yay @Rollergirl11 !!! Well done !🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

I have carried on, bar a a Christmas meal out and I’ve just weighed and still at target of 9st 7. Skipping breakfast is now normal for me and works as I have more time in the morning before work. I’m thinking that there will be indulgence over Christmas so not expecting to lose more and might gain a lb or two. Come January I will carry on and see what happens. It’s been so slow I don’t think I’ll need to worry and shedding lots of weight. Having said that, at 5ft 5 my bmi is now 22.1 so not in danger of being underweight .I also want to keep the benefits of fasting.

Right need motivation to go into this week and do some serious IF. This weekend has been BAD! Bloody alcohol, makes me eat more and then the next day I’m starving also.

Bloody Christmas time - so many social events with yummy food.

So this week until Sat I’m going to do as many OMAD as I can.

Come on!!!!!!!

TennisToday · 15/12/2024 21:18

@greengreyblue you are doing so well!@Rollergirl11 well done!

TennisToday · 15/12/2024 21:22

Just to add to what @Rollergirl11 said up thread.

my weight really fluctuates, I seem to ping pong between 4lbs difference. Is it fat or water or just being bloated???

It’s so depressing that I just can’t keep of these 4lbs.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 17/12/2024 22:40

Joining in on the new thread.

I am sooooo hungry just now, last ate at 630pm. Trying to keep fasting til the weekend at least and then I'll let my hair down a bit when I finish work

greengreyblue · 18/12/2024 07:53

Have hot drink and go to bed! 😀

Ilikeyoursleeves · 18/12/2024 08:04

@greengreyblue I did!

And I weighed myself this morn and I've lost half a pound since I last weighed in a few days ago so that's good motivation! I'm not hungry this morning and will eat after 1030am which will be 16 hours fast

Ilikeyoursleeves · 18/12/2024 13:17

I managed a 17 hour fast in the end, despite being starving at the 4 hour mark 💪🏻 Just shows how hunger comes and goes!

greengreyblue · 18/12/2024 16:07

Ah that’s great news, well done!

I have this problem a LOT. The last 10 days or so I've been at the same weight - pretty much unheard of as usually I fluctuate wildy. It's one of the reasons I usually weight at least every 3 days because it's too easy to get despondent otherwise - by weighing in regularly I can tell when it's weird short term weight gain and not real weight gain. eg today I, apparently, weigh 1.5kg more than I did on Monday. I think it's just that I ate too much bread yesterday and then made things worse by eating later than normal too!

greengreyblue · 20/12/2024 07:18

HI all, still maintaining and no further loss so no danger of losing too much!! Last day of term today so can escape the staffroom that is stacked with biscuit tins from well meaning parents. Sticking to the routine so far. Happy Friday!

OP posts:
GameOfJones · 20/12/2024 07:52

Hi all, I've maintained too for a couple of weeks. I did want to lose a bit more but I think with the amount of meals out, socialising and extra food around so far in December I'll take the maintaining.

I'm trying to practise OMAD when I can to counteract the bigger meals. A 22 hour fast yesterday and I'm aiming for 20 hours today. I'm going to do some present wrapping over lunch as a distraction!

Rollergirl11 · 20/12/2024 15:25

Last day of term for me too. Have partaken of Xmas cupcakes/brownies and chocolates at work but in moderation and inside the window. Have been having lighter evening meals in an attempt to balance things out and have so far managed to maintain at my target weight. Hoping that I won’t do too much damage over Christmas. I will have a couple of days staying in a hotel where i won’t be able to fast but will try and counteract elsewhere.

greengreyblue · 20/12/2024 17:25

This is all sounding good. I
Impressed by 20+ hr fasts. I’m hovering around 17/18/19 hrs. Have had a bit of sweet stuff in staffroom but after my lunch and only a little to be social really. It’s really obvious when you don’t I find. In tonight and treating myself to sushi from Waitrose and out for drinks and food tomorrow night. Will try to do a very light lunch before hand. Will be Greek food so not too bad .

jumpintheline · 21/12/2024 12:56

Have gained… thought I had 😑 am back up to 63kg! Annoying. Was happiest at 60kg so goal post Christmas will be to get back to that.

Rollergirl11 · 21/12/2024 13:58

That’s a shame @jumpintheline. If you were expecting it do you know why? Try not to be hard on yourself though, it’s pretty much expected at this time of year. At least you know what to do to get it back off again!

Have been eating and drinking too much!

I’ve mostly kept to fasting, but relaxing diet during eating window. It’s the time of year!

yes exactly re what to do about it. Will be back on proper fasting and healthy food in Jan.

Cashew1 · 21/12/2024 18:45

I return after a chest infection where fasting went out of the window!

Approx 16 hour fast
Beans on toast with salad
Stuffed peppers with tzatiki

greengreyblue · 22/12/2024 16:59

There’s so much going around @Cashew1 . Chest infections are horrible. Had a good night last night . Sticking to my fasting still and mostly decent food choices. Still drinking far less but exception made last night really felt the affect . Should’ve had one less…. always the way!

Had Christmas lunch out yesterday so did OMAD. Got on with some wrapping last night. DH, DD and DS were indulging in baileys and mince pies and I’m afraid to say that I caved and had a mince pie.

However I’ve just weighed this morning and I’m another lb down at 9st 6 which I’m completely amazed about. Fully expecting not to stay at that but was a nice surprise to see the number on the scales.

Cashew1 · 23/12/2024 09:15

Everyone is doing so well! I've decided I'm intermittent fasting for other health benefits rather than weight loss at this point, I've maintained for a while and feel like I would really need to cut cals to get down. I am already a healthy weight. So my main motivation is to keep up the fasting because it sorts out my IBS!

And I will prob have some flex over the next few days. On the menu today:

Lunch: courgette pancakes and salad
Dinner: homemade pizza (I really should get going on the dough soon but am enjoying a book on the sofa)

greengreyblue · 23/12/2024 11:00

Well done @Rollergirl11 ! I haven’t seen the 6 yet! Last weigh was 60.4kg and 9st 6 is 60kg. Think I was 60.3 briefly. 😆. Made a lush Jamie O chicken pie last night.

How is everyone doing? I’m stoked. Just got on scales pre Christmas madness and I’m 59.5kg/ 9st 5!! A sudden drop. 2 lbs lower than TW which is useful before tomorrow as I now have a comfort expansion zone. .I have been fasting and barely drinking but have eaten normal meals . Happy Christmas! If you’ve not been so lucky, we know what to do so don’t panic.

Happy Christmas everyone!!

@greengreyblue well done on the sudden drop yesterday. Certainly gives you a good buffer for the festivities!

I am feeling utterly stuffed and bloated and like I’ve put on about 4lbs just today. I have eaten far more than usual without a doubt but it’s all been within the window. In reality it was just a few canapés around 12.30, Xmas turkey at 4pm and then a couple of profiteroles half an hour ago. No choccies or mince pies or any extras. That’s it for me today now and tomorrow I will fast as normal. Hoping to just be 1 or 2 lbs up!
