@clare8allthepies is so annoying but least we all experiencing it so we know it’s part of the process. I’m sure we will all start having some losses soon (though not sure with my cal intake today!)

After 6 days scales finally moved - 1.5lb off. Hoping there is something else there by Monday.

As I'm feeling more positive today I'll observe that during a plateau I do try to focus on the fact it isn't going up which is a plus.

I definitely feel the sense of 'I can't eat any less' though. It makes me so cross when you see statements such as 'it's simple, eat less, move more' and '2,000 calories a day to maintain'.

Pre diet I'd very rarely eat more than 2,000 calories yet I am overweight. As for 'eat less, move more' I never, ever do less than 10,000 steps with my dog and I've been existing on 800 calories and didn't lose so much as 0.1lb for six days!

4 pound off this week. Day 6 today! 3 more to my first target. Would be very happy to maintain over the weekend as food will be fine, but allowing myself a couple of glasses of wine. May try to stick to omad tomorrow and Sunday.
Feeling better already, my skin is looking really nice and my mood is better!

@Bikinibottom42 it's brilliant going from 13 to 12 isn't it! I keep hovering between 12.7-12.10 , which for me means the difference between being obese and not obese - will be nice when I can consistently stay under 12.7!

Hopefully the choc won't impact too much @Addidas

@Zott i have been on a diet but going up for a similar amount of time - so nice to change the graph at last!

I have been decorating in the evenings and actually it's been weirdly fine on low carb - thought I would have probs with low blood pressure going up and down ladders and crouching on the floor etc but not even much more hungry. Usually I eat all the biscuits when doing diy Blush

Hello everyone. I need to do this as I am pre diabetic. I just can’t imagine going without breakfast or eating 800 calories a day.

Please give me some advice on what to do to start so I don’t give up. I need recipes which are easy to make and lovely to eat without feeling deprived.

I need to lose four stones.

Big family wedding was yesterday, I was so hot in my navy number (summery vibe not, but it was all that fit). I hate this heat and feel sick in it. Haven’t stuck to diet, hasn’t really been possible but home now and will get back to it.

@Onborrowedtime I recommend the book Fast800, it explains the reasoning, foods to avoid (bread,pasta,potatoes, the obvious high carbs) and gives lots of recipes. You can divide your day into 200 calories for lunch, 300 for lunch and dinner or as many of us do you can skip breakfast and have a 200 calorie lunch and 600 for dinner.

It’s all proper delicious food. I generally have eggs for lunch or salad with feta or avocado/tuna/sardines, dinner is salmon/steak/chicken breast with a lot of veg like roast cauliflower/peppers/courgettes/portobello mushrooms (v filling) and as much green veg as you like (v low in calories). If I need a snack I have a spoon of peanut butter, 8 almonds or some Greek yoghurt.

Clear out the kitchen of biscuits or whatever is your nemesis (crisps and wine for me), meal plan and then grocery shop and you are more likely to succeed. Don’t forget to drink water. Hope that helps. Need to do this myself today.

@Zott, I'm away with work week after next. You can only try your best when you're away from home. Well done for getting back on it.

@Onborrowedtime, it is hard but it's also effective. As others have said you could have a few nuts as a snack in the first week or so and could try going up to bed early to avoid cravings. I had to do both. I also had a few sugar free fruitellas to help with the hunger pangs in with first few days. That isn't within the scope of the plan but I figured if it helped me get through the first week then so be it.

Hello everyone! Been completely bananas last 2 days! Too much alcohol / pasta / biscuits and just went off plan! I’ve had a chat to myself and I’m back on today. I’m actually going to do 800-900 cals and 2 meals not 1000

today I’ve done
brunch - Stilton salad
dinner - boiled eggs ham chorizo olives almond butter strawberries
2 black coffees with 15mls of whole milk in each
Came in at 900 and 25g of carbs

tmrw plan is
Lunch - chicken curry and geeen beans
dinner - sausages and brocolli
same coffee situation
comes in at 850 and 19g carbs

I really need to focus and actually do this!!!! I didn’t weigh today as would be too upset after my last 2 days . I’m feeling all bloated and gross! Should get on scales tmrw

@ToastedBeige welcone. I would say to start at 1000 cals I find 809 impossible to jump to. Drink excess large amounts of water . I’ve started having 2 glasses before every meal and drinking inbeteeen. Full up on good days and protein so u feel fullish. But I would d be lying to say I’m not hungry on this plan!

Not much to report on the scales front here, small amounts up and down. Was over my cals Friday albeit still low carb and yesterday was a bit of a guesstimate as we had a barbecue here so although I avoided the carby bits nothing was weighed. I have not stopped all weekend, I am looking forward to tomorrow to have a bit of a rest!

Didn’t have much of a lunch as was trying to get the kids out this afternoon and my chicken tikka and Greek salad this evening had left me on a total of just under 650 for the day until……on the last day of week 5 I am having a glass of wine and it is absolutely delicious! I might even have another one 🤫

I had better not feel rotten in the morning as I want to go to the gym before it gets too hot, I’m trying to do a couch to 5k type thing and I only have 8 days left of the kids being at school.

Regained 1.5 lbs, not surprised, wine and bread are the culprits. Strict week for me. Chickpea salad for lunch. Salmon and more salad for dinner.

@zott I think I’m prob the same but didn’t weigh! Am being super good this week too and tempted to not weigh till the end of week ow I may slack off! So far had my chicken curry and am full. Should def manage 850 today

Week 1 lost 3kg weigh daily, blood pressure is now lower but blood sugar has gone up, normally 5'1 now 7.7!! Would like to know if anyone else has this result.

A measly 0.2 off (I’m blaming the wine) 😜 so basically stayed the same all of last week. Just checked MFP and my average calories over the past week were under 800, I checked a couple of time with a ketostick and was in ketosis and I’ve done over 80,000 steps including 3 gym trips. It has to come off sooner or later!

Its way too hot for a full on hot meal this evening so I’m doing chicken thighs and Greek salad for me with tuna pasta salad, quiche and an amazing looking tiger bread loaf for everyone else.

995 for me today. I seem to be struggling to stick at 800.

Today was WI for me. I've lost 2lb which takes me to 8lb overall. It also means I've managed to stick to the three weeks I said I've do. I think I'm pleased with that. Still envious of the people who lose a stone in three weeks and DH who has lost 13lb but never mind. It's still the most success I've had in the past 8 years or so.

Going to try and stick with it until my holiday at the end of August. If I could lose 2lb a week i'd have lost over a stone.

@clare8allthepies, I just feel I won't lose any weight over the next few days. I like the nice weather but I can feel my body retaining water by the hour!
