@xraydelta yes he will be on a cardio rehab plan. He is pretty much vegetarian but does like his cake. I'm just so happy he is okay.

And I hope your Dad is feeling a bit better today? It's a bit of a wake up call with this happens.

It also can take a lot longer to recover than you think/want! One of my teens had a (much less serious!) operation last week and just isn't bouncing back. I am running a bit ragged tbh looking after everyone. I gave in last night and had wine 🙈

But I am having home made tomato soup for lunch now and tuna and broccoli (again!) later. AF is due. Great. So I am going to try and stick to plan.

I ended up having 4 gin and slim line tonics last night . Which did result in some munchies. Am annoyed at myself….

anyways doing a 500 day like the old school 5/2 mm used to advocate

hopefully won’t be too tragic when I weigh in tmrw.

id really like to be 10.10 for my Xmas drinks out but that means a 2.8 off Friday to Thursday - 6 days with yest over cals so prob not! :(

@xraydelta sounds like you deserve wine!

Think he is prepared for a good 6 week recovery. Not sure what the 6 days of visiting will be like, I can walk the dog which I am sure they will appreciate!

Today I had Fast 800 porridge, Fast 800 sardines with a third of a naan, then had a protein bar, sliced halloumi and a few prawns. I'm not actually hungry which is a miracle.

So this morning I was 10 st 4.8 so I put on 1lb from my binge 😭

However....I am not doing any more work events or nights out!

Next risky event is a friend coming for dinner on Sat. She is vegetarian. Will have to look up ideas.

I want to stick to the plan until 21st Dec. I will need another plan for 21st - 27th Dec as will be at DFs. To be fair breakfast is whatever I want and they don't eat lunch, I just never know what dinner will be so hard to plan. But I can do long dog walks.

I want to get to 9st 13.5.

We can do this!

I'm 10st 3 this morning! Down from 10st 4.8 yesterday morning! No logic.

Having Fast 800 porridge again this morning. I might also have the smoothie later.

Lunch is eggs and avocado, I might only have half slice rye bread.

Dinner is steak and mushrooms.

I'm really going to try for the next 3 weeks, as I don't have to go in to the office and I am off for 2 weeks. No excuses lol. Apart from xmas day obvs.

I had my work night out on Friday where I drank far too much, Saturday I was hungover and yesterday I had afternoon tea and pizza so couldn’t be more off plan!

looks like I’m 2 pounds up now but hopefully some is water weight from all the carbs yesterday. Just had a vegetable frittata and tonight is sausage and mash (no mash for me) with veg.

In more positive news I felt really good on Friday to be at my target weight and if I had not done this way of eating since beginning of Nov then I would still be 10 pounds heavier and sat unhappy in my too tight outfit.

Urghh. Not a good day. Teen was readmitted to hospital. On a little walk to find coffee, I accidentally bought four doughnuts.

Child could only eat half a doughnut and so I ate three and a half.

I was just so stressed 😩

She's staying in hospital, so I am now at home wide awake and regretting my life decisions.

All I can do is try again tomorrow.

Yesterday, I ended up eating a sandwich, a large bar of chocolate and a bottle of wine. To anyone else reading this thread for interest, this is sadly not the Fast 800 diet 😆

Today, I fasted all day and then had a large beef stir fry and a small amount of chocolate. So an improvement!

I haven't made the gym though since Sunday, and I have work all day tomorrow and then a work do that will involve carbs and wine.

But hey, I am at peace with it. I will get back into the zone.

I will weigh tomorrow just to see where I'm at.

How are the weigh ins?

I weight exactly what my app says I did on the 10th December, 10 stone 9.6 exactly.

I'll take that after the week I have had, even though it's disappointing.

Mostly fasting today. I am about to have a cup of bouillon though. I am not sure what to make for dinner later. Maybe stirfry again? 🙄

The Turkish/Greek fish restaurant was incredibly fast 800 friendly last night, but I definitely ate too much and I had some wine 🍷 I must remember how good the food was though for another time.

So after two work meals out and one lunch I was 0.5 pounds more on Sunday than the week before. I’m pretty pleased with that! I’m trying not to think ‘sod it, it’s Christmas’ too early this year as I know once I’ve gone that will be it until the new year.
Still fasting and trying to eat my carbs mainly in veg.

I’ve lost all interest sadly! Had awful cold and just lost the will! I’ll be back on jan 2nd for my final fast 800 and getting to 10.7 (but this time actually doing it 😫) . I’m not going to even pretend I’ll be doing low carb as I won’t be!

Hi everyone! You are definitely not alone @xraydelta ! After 2 months of sickness, no gym, loads of parties, meals and so much food I'm ready to get back to it after the weekend (can't be bothered to set myself up for failure for a few days lol)

I did weigh myself and take measurements this morning & the interesting thing is that I'm lower now (by 6lbs) than when I started at the gym, measurements are pretty much the same but I'm SO bloated and feeling flabby. I think some of my gains when I was at the gym were because I was gaining muscle but not losing fat - which is entirely down to diet really. I've just ordered the Keto book so I can read something new around the 800 and because I've been doing a load of research on PTSD and weight loss and they highly recommend a keto diet with PTSD so I'm ready to try anything! Essentially I have 25lbs to lose ideally by end of March but definitely by the end of April.

So will read the book over the weekend, make a menu plan, and get started on Monday. I'm also going to do Adriene's 30 days of yoga but alternate yoga days and gym days because the gym was having such a great impact on my mental health. My main worry is that next year is the most ambitious, most busy year of my entire career and will be insanely demanding - mentally, physically and of my time. I definitely turn to food when I feel stuck like that so that's the main thing I need to start dealing with - I just need to find other ways to self-soothe when it all starts testing me.

I’d like to join (again). I re-started just after Christmas. I have a window of time off work and find it easier to get started with this when I’m not juggling too much.
