Thats great progress @xraydelta , well done. The gym class sounds really fun.

Steak dinner was really nice. I could see myself bulking it up with bean mash off plan. Didn't realise or forgot I could have unlimited green veg, will add to shopping list.

So begins the tedium of calorie counting! 975 today. Obviously won't have granola going forward. Also didn't need to cook the steak in butter.

Goats cheese and peanuts added a bit, I'll roll ham around chopped pepper instead.

On the good side I'm just over 50g carb and hit the protein target. It's just convincing my stomach that it's satisfied. I felt full for about 5 minutes 😂

Now in a meat coma...I need to prep tomorrow's lunch etc.

@MistySkiesAreGone the hunger WILL subside as your body gets used to no carbs. I seem to forget this myself too, but as soon as you're past the critical point it does get easier.

xraydelta · 05/12/2022 20:05

On the unlimited veg, my youngest teen is heartily fed up of broccoli 🙈😆

I need to branch out, but broccoli is so easy!

xraydelta · 06/12/2022 08:52

Oh ffs! I am a good pound heavier this morning.

How bloody depressing.

MistySkiesAreGone · 06/12/2022 09:37

Thanks @xraydelta good to remember.

Oh no that's annoying! At least you know and you can do something. Are there any tweaks you can make?

I'm 10st 3.2 this morning. I forgot it can shift more at the start. I actually had half a slice of sourdough and soft cheese and ham, and some blueberries and yoghurt as I was up very late working so maybe 1,200 cals.

If I could get to 10st 1 by Sunday and under 10st next week that would be amazing.

My deadline is 8 Jan only as I based it on 0.4 loss a day which was my average last time taking into account the complete slowing down over my period. It would be amazing to start the New Year at the weight I want to be.

I do quite a lot of fine beans and mange tout...need to pick some up today, rock and roll.

Crazy busy today and tomorrow.

Had cereal, two eggs, four slices of ham, a banana, a mince pie and a slice of shortbread, due to travel for work. I have prawn korma and cauliflower rice planned for later. Probably over quite a bit.

OP posts:
MistySkiesAreGone · 06/12/2022 21:39

Made prawn korma from the Fast 800 book with cauliflower rice. Looks tasty. Not sure how filling it will be.

OP posts:
MistySkiesAreGone · 06/12/2022 22:22

Prawn korma was delicious. Made peppered chicken stirfry for tomorrows lunch. Breakfast will be mushroom and eggs.

Dinner is meant to be pea and spinach soup but I literally have no energy to make that. I think I'm going to have to buy soup and put it in a flask and take a load of carrot sticks. I'm working at an event. I will have to eat lunch as late as possible.

OP posts:
MistySkiesAreGone · 06/12/2022 22:30

Oh dear, at conservative estimate I'm about 1,350 calories today. It was the mince pie. 190 calories. I'm hoping for no gain tomorrow.

OP posts:
MistySkiesAreGone · 07/12/2022 06:41

10st 3.2 today. So 1,350 calories is pretty much maintenance for me.

I made my mini goal of 142 in time for my Christmas party on Friday! 142.6 this morning, just need not to crack and go mad now. Still skipping breakfast and fasting until lunch. No alcohol for 2.5 weeks.

xraydelta · 07/12/2022 19:05

@MistySkiesAreGone I am so so pleased for you, but a tad envious 😆 I never got that whoosh at the start 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was another pound heavier this morning (! Wtf!), so I fasted all day and just had a 500 calorie dinner of stirfry, and I also saw my PT again.

I shall see what the scales say tomorrow.

There are no tweaks I can make sadly, apart from not cheating at all, which is going to just become harder and harder as Christmas meals come up more and more 😔

That's fab @Chunkymonkey123 🙌🏻 Great news!

Addidas · 08/12/2022 08:32

Right officially sick of myself! Keep having 2 days on plan then 2 off too. Not loosing anything as a result. This time of year is hard. Esp as last Xmas I was heavily preg and so missed out on a lot of festivities vomiting and being exhausted.
starting prop now with no off days

next social even is next Thursday drinks with some friends (I’m only having 1 large wine and will drink it very slowly) luckily no food is involved. Next Friday is work night out and set menu and I’ll just have to go with it but I’m not drinking. I really need to shift some weight I’ve not really moved much in over a month.

@FairyCakeSprinkles and @Chunkymonkey123 eccellent work. You’re inspiring me!

@xraydelta sounds like your working out so prob building muscle which will weigh more. Keep going don’t stop!

sw countdown to Xmas 11.1 (agh!!!) when I wanted to be 10.9 for and seeming unlikely? :(

xraydelta · 08/12/2022 11:12

Thank you for the encouragement. Yes, it is probably muscle weight I am replacing the fat weight with, but it's depressing none the less as I am not visibly much thinner!

I am also trying for no off days @Addidas

Ditto in that my next Christmas event is next Thursday evening too excitMine does involve food though (as well as wine!) but it's a fish restaurant so I thought I'd just have some fresh white fish and a glass of wine - and drink it slowly. And I will try not to sample any carbs.

I just feel like I am two steps forward and two steps back currently 😔 But I shall keep plugging away.

Today, I am going to try and fast all day and then make either tuna steak and veg for dinner, or beef steak. I could make beef steak for the family and have the beef stir fry myself with my bit 🤷🏻‍♀️ Then have the tuna tomorrow with veg for fish Friday.

Addidas · 08/12/2022 16:05

Closing at 888 cals. Report weight daily from now on.

@xraydelta reckon it’s def the muscle your building. Maybe start staking your measurements to feel reassured.

now Xmas is so close feeling the pressure!

Addidas · 09/12/2022 07:14

11.04 so 0.6 off
no plans that involve food today

xraydelta · 09/12/2022 08:26

10 stone 10.8 this morning so it's getting there sloooooooowly!

I am so bored of this slow weight loss, but it is at least a tiny loss.

My PT had to cancel this morning but I am going to do a class instead as I am dressed in gym kit!

I am sneezing away though and feel like I am getting a cold 😔

I used to use some kind of cold defence spray up my nose pre covid. I don't know if it really worked in stopping colds or was just a placebo effect, but I haven't seen them in shops since covid.

I don't want a cold to hold me back over the next week 🙈

Today's plan is to fast until this afternoon and then I shall choose between pepper cup quiches or tuna steak. Or perhaps those green fritters from the fast 800 website, as I had those a few weeks ago and they were lovely.

I hope everyone is having a great Friday 😁

Addidas · 09/12/2022 18:55

Closing on 918. Well done @xraydelta keep going! Will report in am.

MistySkiesAreGone · 09/12/2022 22:52

What a week. DF had a suspected heart attack and had surgery today. He is okay. I fell massively off plan.

OP posts:
xraydelta · 10/12/2022 05:57

@MistySkiesAreGone you poor thing. How traumatic for your family. I am so sorry you have had this.

The plan will be there when things are calmer. Hospitals are stressful places with limited food options and your body and soul might need carbs right now just to get you through as you'll be in a fight or flight mode, and that's okay.

Are you close geographically to your dad? He'll be on a special diet as he recovers, and then will need to follow as a way of life, and it shares the core features with the fast 800 principles and you may be able to help him/batch cook/have meal ideas.

Addidas · 10/12/2022 07:56

@MistySkiesAreGone sorry to hear that. How is he? Forget about plan for now . Sending you strength

10.12.8 today. Lowest I’ve been for years. It does work if you actually stick to plan! Wish I hadn’t been messing around for so long. Anyway downwards we go…

MistySkiesAreGone · 10/12/2022 20:14

Thank you. Very kind words. DF is recovering thankfully. 400 miles away but I am going there soon.

Did a Fast 800 food shop that I am collecting tomorrow so no mental load of choosing shopping round the supermarket.

OP posts:
MistySkiesAreGone · 10/12/2022 20:16

Having the Fast 800 pasta and prawn dish. Think it is a fave. The pasta is bulked out with courgette.

OP posts:
MistySkiesAreGone · 10/12/2022 23:30

Small win tonight - I didn't go to the shop to buy icecream! I might be brave and weigh in tomorrow 😬
